Very good food and excellent service, friendly and efficient staff. Certainly a restaurant that we will return to in the future and would highly recommend
Friendly and efficient with delicious food. I would recommend it for a cosy dinner. Well placed for South Kensington and near the tube. Try it.
Excellent, friendly service and food. We sat on the patio out front for our meal as the restaurant was a little too warm inside. The starter of olives was very good. We enjoyed vegetarian pizza, spaghetti with prawns, four cheese gnocchi, lasagna, and wine. Everything was delicious, served in good time, and we found the bill reasonable for four persons, averaging about 25 pounds/person. We would happily return here.
We received friendly service with good food and drink, which was reasonably priced. Would return if in the area, although was quiet for a Friday lunchtime.
Attentive and likeable staff, great food and flavours . The waiter made good recommendations. All 3 of us enjoyed our different courses. My mushroom risotto was outstanding
Found this restaurant on Trip adviser for a location close to Royal Albert Hall. Quaint and intimate, the service and food were excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and we had a very enjoyable meal.
Great Italian restaurant with friendly service and good food. Good value and convenient location as close to South Ken station. Gets busy later in evening so make sure to book to secure a table.
This is the second time we have visited this restaurant. I would have given it six for the first time. However, we did not enjoy it so much this time. The waiting staff we unattentive to the point of being rude. When they did attend to our table, they did not understand what we were asking for on a couple of occations. The food itself was pretty good apart from the olives, which were salty to the point of being inedible. When we were there the first time, the olives were excellent.
LOvely food and very welcoming. Worth going to break away from the high street chains for something different and in my opinion better. Worth a try
Super dinner and a very friendly straff. Really enjoyed the food and service. The Pizza was fantastic and the pasta as in Italy. Well worth a visit 👌🌟👍
Quietly located away from the hustle and bustle of South Kensington, yet within a few minutes walk of the tube station, Pappa Roma's Italian Restaurant is a genuine, authentic experience of real Italian cuisine... My pizza base was typically rustic and clearly oven baked, without that sweetness of a Pizza Express pizza, where the dough has a one teaspoon measure of sugar added! The toppings on my "Primavera" were generous, and my side order of tomatoes were 100% Italian, so they were properly red, and tasted sweet, unlike the predominance of Dutch tomatoes preferred by the supermarkets... these Italian tomatoes were accompanied by red onions, and fresh basil. A glass of the Barbera was a perfect Italian red wine for my meal, and to finish, the cappuccino was suitably strong. The service was attentive, without being intrusive, the staff seemed happy, and were very helpful and patient with my group of diners. The price was reasonable, and I wish I could return sooner than September!!
Excellent food and exceptional service. Hope to visit again soon and will be recommending to friends. A word of warning only have a starter if you are really really hungry 😋 pizzas fabulous but giant!
Family friendly, proper Italian restaurant. We had a mix of starters, mains, pizzas and desserts. All were lovely. Will return next time we go to the Royal Albert Hall or Science Museum..
Small friendly Italian restaurant, slightly off the main drag. My daughter and I loved our mains and starters, but hubby found his rather salty and just OK. So a mixed bag really.
A very welcoming restaurant in the heart of Kensington. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. No rush to vacate the table at all. Complementary Limoncello was delish too.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere and lovely waiters. We visited for my mum's birthday for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday. The food is always too notch but the best thing has to be fact they have barrata on the menu, a cheese 🧀 I've not found outside of Italy. Fantastic neighbourhood restaurant.
I highly recommend this restaurant. My wife and I had a outstanding dinner. The lasagna was the best I have ever had. The atmosphere was great and the staff was awesome. This is the place for great food, great wine and a great atmosphere.
We liked the atmosphere and the waiters were very friendly. My husband had the lasagna, which he loved. My spaghetti con pesto was a bit heavy on the salt. But the chocolate soufflé was to die for! All in all, a nice place worth visiting.
Friendly team, food was very good and service prompt - ideal for an early evening dinner if you're going to a concert up the street!
Always like popping into Papa Romas when visiting the Kensington area, once again well looked after by the staff, food excellent and meal finished off with a lovely cheese board.
The restaurant was almost empty even though it was a 12.45 pm booking for Sunday lunch. The waiters were attentive but the food was very mediocre.
Can't fault this place - love it! Staff, food, ambiance, service! Everything is spot on, and makes you feel like a valued customer. A restaurant as it should be!
Great space, as in space for the tables: enough room between tables - very important! Delicious home made pasta. And the Buratta was a feast. Good service as well. Your perfect Italian.
Great food and lovely people - we were in a rush and they were very helpful and accommodating bringing over our food as quick as possible we only wish we could have spent longer enjoying the amazing food!
Good food and friendly staff BUT, waited far too long for service though restaurant not busy. Ok prices but, pizza is a not expensive. Probably won't go again even though good location .
Fab service, delicious food. More expensive than a normal chain Italian restaurant but much better quality. We are a very fussy family & no-one was disappointed!
The restaurant is very cozy and very romantic. The staff was really friendly. My boyfriend liked his pizza very much, I had a clam pasta that was a bit salty and greasy.
Fantastic food and lovely owner would highly recommend! Especially the pistachio cheesecake beautiful. You can definitely tell everyone of their dishes are freshly made. Will be going back again!
Very nice food and welcoming staff, fairly priced overall in a small homely restaurant. We would definitely come back again if we're visiting one of the local museums.
As usual our visit to Pappa Roma was excellent. The food is freshly prepared and cooked and the staff are friendly and welcoming. A fantastic Italian restaurant with a lovely family feel. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
I visited this restaurant with an extended family party of eight (including two four year olds) in the late afternoon. Friendly staff. Nice, slightly different, italian food. Very reasonably priced for London. Good for kids.
5 stars for both quality and service! Lovely place, booked online, no hassle, super-friendly staff, authentic food, served in less than 20 minutes from the time we placed the order. Highly recommended!!
Great little Italian restaurant which we go to when in London...lovely atmosphere and great food! Staff are always attentive and we will certainly visit again when back in London.
Lovely food , great location , and a really cosy look to the restaurant . Would highly recommend others to try this place as it's a good varied menu
Great food and prompt efficient service. Caprese salad just as it should be. Chocolate soufflé to die for. Will be back without a doubt. Thanks!
Great menu, great wine, great staff, great place. A must visit if in the area. Cannot fault it. Also kids pizza are £5 and totally tasty.
Great authentic italian food (we are italians). Staff friendly and attentive with us giing with a little 4 year old child. We will be back
Great service and Calzone packed with loads of ham. All rest of the family enjoyed their meals. I Would recommend if you in the area
Great service. Amazing pizza. Lovely pasta. Would definitely recommend. Just off the beaten track near South Kensington tube station away from the crowds. Sure we'll go again when we're in the area.
Fantastic food, lovely atmosphere and really good staff. we had a brilliant meal and will definitely come back soon. Booking online was really easy and problem free
Excellent food and friendly service. Decor was on the drab side, chocolate and cream colours reminded me of my bedroom in the 70s! Music not to our taste but we had a nice chat about it and encouraged them to play Italian opera! (Yes, I know, that's not to everyone's taste either!). But the best thing about it is that it's authentically Italian with lovely Italian ingredients. Will definitely recommend.
We always enjoy the food at Pappa Roma, however, on this occasion the service was very poor. It seems as the main patron was not in the restaurant the team in charge had made plans for the evening and wanted guests to leave as soon as possible. Although we had a table booking for 21:30 we still expected to be able to enjoy our meal without being rushed by the waitress. We had barely finished our mains when we were asked whether we wanted any desserts whilst at the same time being told that they wanted to close the restaurant so we'd better be quick! Really disappointing, particularly as it took the same waitress 10 minutes to bring us the menu in the first place when we arrived (and no, the restaurant was not busy but she was chatting to her friends...). So next time we will make sure the main patron is there as he is an excellent host!
A pleasant post concert venue with good food and a decent wine list. The atmosphere of a traditional trattoria good service and away from the usual mayhem of South Kensington
For a pleasant late meal after a Prom - this is the place to go - good food, service and the atmosphere of a traditional trattoria
Very nice food and great service, very reasonably priced for the area. Great for pre Royal Albert Hall or museums. Will definitely go visits again.
We visited the restaurant for a birthday celebration prior to attending a promenade concert at the Royal Albert Hall. The food was excellent, the staff very efficient and friendly, and we had the perfect dinner experience. The ambiance in the restaurant is that of a restaurant in provincial Italy - first class.
We used Papparoma thrice during our London holiday. It is staffed by Italians and we had a good experience. Situated on a quiet side street across from South Kensington tube.
Excellent food and great service would recommend this restaurant. We were visitors to London so therefore we chose to dine here before going to The Royal Albert Hall to see Kathrine Jenkins who was amazing
Lovely staff, nice food. Quick service, tucked away, perfect pre Royal Albert Hall. Fed go again. Thanks to all the staff, much appreciated your service
Lovely food, service and ambience ☆☆☆☆☆ Staff very accommodating , it was my dad's birthday and staff made a special allowance for our birthday cake which we brought from outside, We had pizza of course! So good
