I visited this restaurant with an extended family party of eight (including two four year olds) in the late afternoon. Friendly staff. Nice, slightly different, italian food. Very reasonably priced for London. Good for kids.
Great little Italian restaurant which we go to when in London...lovely atmosphere and great food! Staff are always attentive and we will certainly visit again when back in London.
5 stars for both quality and service! Lovely place, booked online, no hassle, super-friendly staff, authentic food, served in less than 20 minutes from the time we placed the order. Highly recommended!!
Great food and prompt efficient service. Caprese salad just as it should be. Chocolate soufflé to die for. Will be back without a doubt. Thanks!
Lovely food , great location , and a really cosy look to the restaurant . Would highly recommend others to try this place as it's a good varied menu
Great menu, great wine, great staff, great place. A must visit if in the area. Cannot fault it. Also kids pizza are £5 and totally tasty.
Great authentic italian food (we are italians). Staff friendly and attentive with us giing with a little 4 year old child. We will be back
Great service and Calzone packed with loads of ham. All rest of the family enjoyed their meals. I Would recommend if you in the area
Great service. Amazing pizza. Lovely pasta. Would definitely recommend. Just off the beaten track near South Kensington tube station away from the crowds. Sure we'll go again when we're in the area.
Fantastic food, lovely atmosphere and really good staff. we had a brilliant meal and will definitely come back soon. Booking online was really easy and problem free
Excellent food and friendly service. Decor was on the drab side, chocolate and cream colours reminded me of my bedroom in the 70s! Music not to our taste but we had a nice chat about it and encouraged them to play Italian opera! (Yes, I know, that's not to everyone's taste either!). But the best thing about it is that it's authentically Italian with lovely Italian ingredients. Will definitely recommend.
We always enjoy the food at Pappa Roma, however, on this occasion the service was very poor. It seems as the main patron was not in the restaurant the team in charge had made plans for the evening and wanted guests to leave as soon as possible. Although we had a table booking for 21:30 we still expected to be able to enjoy our meal without being rushed by the waitress. We had barely finished our mains when we were asked whether we wanted any desserts whilst at the same time being told that they wanted to close the restaurant so we'd better be quick! Really disappointing, particularly as it took the same waitress 10 minutes to bring us the menu in the first place when we arrived (and no, the restaurant was not busy but she was chatting to her friends...). So next time we will make sure the main patron is there as he is an excellent host!
A pleasant post concert venue with good food and a decent wine list. The atmosphere of a traditional trattoria good service and away from the usual mayhem of South Kensington
We visited the restaurant for a birthday celebration prior to attending a promenade concert at the Royal Albert Hall. The food was excellent, the staff very efficient and friendly, and we had the perfect dinner experience. The ambiance in the restaurant is that of a restaurant in provincial Italy - first class.
Very nice food and great service, very reasonably priced for the area. Great for pre Royal Albert Hall or museums. Will definitely go visits again.
For a pleasant late meal after a Prom - this is the place to go - good food, service and the atmosphere of a traditional trattoria
We used Papparoma thrice during our London holiday. It is staffed by Italians and we had a good experience. Situated on a quiet side street across from South Kensington tube.
Excellent food and great service would recommend this restaurant. We were visitors to London so therefore we chose to dine here before going to The Royal Albert Hall to see Kathrine Jenkins who was amazing
Lovely food, service and ambience ☆☆☆☆☆ Staff very accommodating , it was my dad's birthday and staff made a special allowance for our birthday cake which we brought from outside, We had pizza of course! So good
Service was great, fantastic food. My pasta dish was delicious and beautifully presented. Vegetarian pizza was lovely, huge! Ingredients were all fresh and full of flavour. Nice to be able get a carafe of wine too. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely staff, nice food. Quick service, tucked away, perfect pre Royal Albert Hall. Fed go again. Thanks to all the staff, much appreciated your service
Best Tiramisu I have ever eaten! great food, great service
The waitress was new and did not really perform - however the rest of the crew did an excellent rescue operation, the manager did not charge for deserts, coffee and avecs as an apology. The price / quality ratio of food was excellent. We had a great dinner!
Great restaurant with delicious food and excellent service. Definitely returning.
Excellent welcome. Staff very pleasant and hospitable. Food and selection of food very good. Thank you to the staff. If in London again would certainly visit and would recommend it to friends.
Great service and great food. Nick was a wonderful host and promptly replied to my email inquiries prior to the dinner event. Highly recommended for a large group gathering.
Excellent service, lovely food. This restaurant is very reasonably priced for the area. It was very good for children too, perfect for lunch before going to the natural history museum. The waitress was helpful with recommending a dish for my brother in law, and my sister really enjoyed it for her birthday meal. Thank you so much!
Lovely. We knew this as Da Spago but had not been for 18 months or so because out of area for while. Seems to have changed hands in interim. But food same, we were told same chef. Same decor. Same cheerful and pleasant service. So we were happy!
The veal shank special was almost entirely made up of bone. I literally got 5 bites of meat off it. To their credit Restaurant took 50% off at my request - However, I would have preferred a complete meal
Service was excellent and the place was full of diners. The pizzas were fabulous and the price was very reasonable for a central London restaurant. Will definitely return.
Great food, lovely staff, pleasant ambiance - will definitely go again when next visiting the museums. Children, parents and the older generation all happy - not an easy accomplishment!
Good family restaurant that will make.child size pizza's and offer pens and colouring books but not change facilities or full kids menu. a great alternative to chains and expensive south ken places.
A wonderful evening with great service, varied menu, lovely food and good sized portions. A relaxed atmosphere, we would definitely recommend it for any occasion
Wonderful service, pizza was so so so Good. Our friends had some pasta which was also very good too apparently. Highly recommend. Will return for sure
Good traditional Italian food. Pasta and Pappa Roma's special pizza (with a whole cheese!) were fantastic. Quick and friendly service great for pre Albert Hall concert.
Papa Roma - we loved it! Fab food, authentic Italian and very friendly attentive service. Can't fault it! We will definitely be back again 🍷🍝🍮❤️
The Staff were great, very attentive and polite. The food was delicious and the restaurant itself very clean, homely and welcoming. One could actually hold a conversation!!
It was my 3rd visit to Papa Roma. It is an amazing restaurant which provides delicious food with excellent customer services. I do recomment it!
Very friendly service. Super authentic italian food for reasonable price. Foccacia as well as pasta, dessert and the coffee were delicious. We highly recommed eating here.
Not so busy, unlike some of the restaurants in the South Ken High Street where you have to queue up. Friendly staff, excellent pizzas. A hidden find. Worth another visit.
All dishes were delicious except fried spinach which was too salty. Pizza may be one of the best in London. Quick service and friendly staff! Good atmosphere and clean toilet. I'll definitely go again!
Exceptional pizza and pastas and Nick is a wonderful host (ask him to show you the pictures of Sardinia). I will look forward to coming here again soon.
Excellent food, atmosphere and service. Really felt we could be in Italy, that is, until the risotto arrived. It was completely overcooked into a mush, however, once we pointed this out to the Italian manager he apologised and immediately re-ordered it for us. He soon returned to the table, having tasted the risotto himself and agreed it was terribly over-cooked and apologised profusely. It seemed as an Italian he was almost ashamed his kitchen had served such a bad risotto. A new freshly cooked risotto arrived which was outstanding. Any kitchen can make a mistake and I was impressed at how well the manager dealt with the situation. All of our remaining food was flawless. I wouldn't hesitate returning to Pappa Roma.
