Enjoyed our meal and lovely staff but there is a breeze and a half coming though the side door. A porch is needed!

My first visit to papillon good food, couple of dish’s bit bland, . Good choice of menu. Staff very polite and good service.

The service was good, but was very noisy and one hamburger was meant to be well done and it was still bleeding. Not sure if we will go back again.

Didn’t like the pizza - not crispy - menu a bit unappealing

Food was nice but lots of constantly cackling extremely loud women ruining the ambience. Would have appreciated staff to kindly ask them to be a bit more quiet/respectful

The food was delicious, great flavours and generous portions, which don’t often combine. But the music was too loud - why do they think we want to shout at each other all evening? But will return.

We spent a lovely 3 hours catching up with friends over a fabulous 3 course meal. The atmosphere and surroundings are lovely, service is faultless and the cocktails are superb. The menu is varied and interesting with generous portions. My only criticism would be that my main course was not as hot as I would have liked but not enough to send it back.

Great evening meal, cool gin cured salmon followed by steak. So good we will be back for brunch. Would go again if ever we are forced to visit Liverpool again.

Genuinely the nicest place I've eaten in, in a long time! Service was outstanding, two-piece jazz band created a perfect atmosphere and without a doubt served the best Negroni I've ever had. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Cold food sent back twice, very poor reaction from staff. Had to leave without eating.

Our second visit - So convenient for the Philharmonic Hall - the staff are lovely and attentive- food is excellent, fresh ingredients, well cooked and nicely presented - we will definitely be going back again - my favourite restaurant in Liverpool at the moment

Poor service really spoiled this experience for us. Disinterested staff created a disappointing environment. We’d really been looking forward to this booking but after this experience it is unlikely that we will return.

We had the scotch egg sharing board, the steak and a pizza. They were all delicious and great value for money. The service was top notch and we’ll definitely be coming back.

We were a little disappointed that there was no fish, prawns, tuna or sausages on the menu that night but the meal we did choose was well cooked, presented hot and in a timely manner..

My first visit to Papillon but I really enjoyed it. Good food and atmosphere. My only slight criticism was that I thought that it was a little cold where I was sat.

More of a bar than a restaurant, food OK, nothing to write home about

Staff were really helpful and pleasant. Enjoyed the meal and time spent in the relaxed atmosphere.

Very disappointing. I had a chicken avocado salad. This consisted of some fridge cold pieces of chicken and a pile of lettuce leaves with some pomegranate seeds impossible to find at the bottom. There was no avocado until I asked for it, and this was a rather unpleasant paste. It was very noisy with awful piped music. The waitress was very efficient and pleasantly friendly. The coffee we found bitter and did not like that it was served in a glass without a handle - never had coffee like this before. I guess we chose the wrong restaurant for our tastes and we felt it was very poor value for money. You will understand that we wouldn't want to come back

Fabulous food & customer service. The spiced orange polenta cake was divine.
