Great food excellent service the sauces were nice and thick rather than the usual watery rubbish you get in chain steak restaurants will definitely be returning

Went here tonight for the first time with my boyfriend after being recommended by a friend, beautiful little place, staff were lovely! And the steak was probably one of the best I’ve ever had! Will be coming back!

Fantastic visit to Ounce on Friday 1st Feb. We ate early and found the service attentive and food delicious. Highly recommended - we have visited a number of times and food is always of the highest quality.

Sunday lunch was lovely. Pub is cosy and friendly. Not a huge menu but enough choice. Deserts were a great finishing touch. Will look forward to returning.

Food amazing but we were not made aware of the deal, and ended up paying £33 per steak which we believed would only cost £10 (£1 an ounce night). Manger wouldn’t rectify bill for us despite the waitress not explaining to us. However food was exceptional and service from waitress great.

Always had delicious food at Ounce. Only ever had the steak there. Cooked to perfection. Staff are friendly, there’s nice ambience. There’s an outdoor area if needed. No parking onsite but plenty of local places and out the back. Good selection of wine and beers, spirits also available obviously. I believe you can hire out the room upstairs for larger parties.

I love Ounce and decided to try the Sunday roast. Unfortunately the Sunday roast I thought had too many flavours going on and I personally didn’t enjoy the beef option. however I will still be coming back for the other offers in the week

Fab meal definitely returning fab service great value for money best steak ive ever tasted served quickly and the sauces to accompany the meal were just lovely highly recommend

Great atmosphere for relaxing lunch with the wife for an unbelievably steak would highly recommend this. From when we stepped into ounce to leaving staff were relaxed but awesome at the same time nothing to much for them. We definitely be returning.

Nice food but overpriced. Waitress service was great. Music great but too loud. Place is just too small being put at the end of someone else's table to have to listen to a very loud group of inappropriate conversation but They did move us when we asked

The steak was delicious, as were the sides etc. The pudding was nice but nothing sensational for the price. What I found a bit offputting was the tight space between the tables. The waitresses needed to knock against my chair in order to pass to the next table.

Disappointed with lack of knowledge from waitress of the menu. Special said all the trimmings expected more then fries, side salad with half a cherry tomato and a mushroom. No size difference when plated in the 8 and 10 oz when questioned waitress was abrupt in reply. Booked a month in advance and seated in the smallest cubby hole possible. Very disappointed

Food was excellent but wasn't informed that offer had ended.Afterwe had eaten was told the price was £27.50 and we were expecting to pay £10.Very dissapointed.Even now the offer is still advertised on the website

Went in for a birthday meal as there was a £1 per ounce promotion. Unfortunately this deal was not on so we left. Would have been nice if staff would have notified us as the waitress said they'd had a few people in asking for the same offer. Website needs updating.

Having previously enjoyed this establishment decided to try the Sunday lunch..good selection of vegetables and good portion of roast sirloin unfortunately this had little taste and likewise the gravy, This disappointment was further compounded by the excessive cost for a plated Sunday lunch at £16.00 for the main course excessive in my opinion

Sunday lunch and birthday celebration. sadly they had ran out of lamb by 3pm, which was disappointing. the food was good quality and service was fast and friendly.

The butchers cut didn’t dissapoint! And I recommend rare with the Roquefort sauce! I will definitely be looking at joining them for the Sunday roast soon
