This was our first visit to Ounce and we decided to have the Sunday lunch. We chose the roast beef and I have to say it was the best we'd ever had. Very tender and tasty. Loved the cauliflower cheese too. Service was excellent. We will definitely be returning!

First time visit, cold starter, cold steak, staff really didn’t care no apologies one of the staff even laughed at us when we said the evening had been terrible. Such a shame as I’d heard really good things about the restaurant.

We have been to Ounce before and had lovely food and service but this time we were very disappointed. We waited ages to get our drinks ,then when our food arrived my husbands steak had to go back as he couldn't chew it, it was so grisly, they took ages to replace the meal ( 2nd one was lovely) but by the time his came my son and I had finished. The waitress never came over to check if the food was ok or to ask if we wanted any more drinks we had to get up to find them to ask for more drinks and to replace the steak. We waited ages again for the 2nd round of drinks then they charged us £6 for a children's icecream which I queried and was told sorry you have been charged for 2 although the bill said 1, It was a really disappointing and has put me off going again. It seems because we were right at the front of the restaurant we were out of site out of mind .

The steak as amazing and staff was really good aswell, only thing I will say is that the table we was on was a bit to close to the other table as my partner had to sit on the same bench as another family

We had a party of 6 during a very busy evening and the service was faultless. Our waitress was absolutely brilliant and so friendly. Food was impeccable, my only regret was not ordering more. We had a brilliant time and will be back for Sunday lunch VERY soon!!

Third visit to Ounce as always excellent food and excellent service

Lovely food and surroundings. Only one slight Criticism, we ordered the piri piri prawn special starter, it was around £7 and we got three prawns for that. We thought that was a bit mean but otherwise no complaints.

Never fails this place! The sides and sauces compliment the steak so well. Your mouth is full of all these different flavours and taste’s it will leave your mouth having a oral orgasm!

Great night at Ounce, welcoming from the moment we arrived, our waitress was lovely and could not do enough for us. The food was outstanding. Would definitely recommend.

The food was exceptional, but we had to wait 25minutes till we were seated even though we had reserved a table and once we ordered, our starter of baked Camembert finally arrived 35mins later.

Sunday lunch was lovely only down side was they ran out of nut roast so my son only had the vegetable but was still charged full price ??
