I've dined with my family at Osteria on 3 occasions in the last 2 years. The restaurant has a nice buzzy atmosphere, the food is generally good and it's usually very busy (which is a good sign). My sons typically go for the Pizza and rate them very highly (and they know what good pizza is like) On our last visit, it was ok but there were are a couple of small-ish things that I was not so happy about. They are not things that should put people off going but things the management should reflect upon. When I am paying £5 for 3 pieces of Bruschetta, I don't expect it to include tiny 2" long end-of-the-loaf pieces, nor (and this was the big one) do I expect some of the bread to have been burnt completely jet black. Mistakes happen, If you burn the bread, put it in the bin, not on my plate. I should have sent it back really. "You don't want to have the beef raviolli with that red wine sir, you should have the roasted beef instead". Really? What's wrong with beef raviolli and a decent red wine all of a sudden? It came across as upsellng (or we need to shift some of this beef this evening) and I didn't appreciate it. I knwo that they were busy but I still felt that the staff could have been a little more attentive (and better trained and informed in one case). i.e empty beer bottles should be collected more quickly (i.e. within 15 mins). Osteria also seem to follow the modus operandi of many restaurants whereby, once you have finished your meal, they just ignore you and attend to other customers. I had to actually go up to them to take my card payment as I had grown bored of waiting over 20 mins to pay the bill. Finally, after delivering my food, don't come over with a 2' long pepper grinder to ask if I want pepper on my food. How should I know if I want pepper, I haven't actually tasted the food yet. Are you concerned that the chef may not have seasoned the food correctly in the first place? (Just put condiments on the table and allow me to season my own food without all the ceremony).

The best homemade ravioli ever. Lovely family osteria, easily accessible, good service, but mostly, just excellent ravioli! Had a great evening there with the in laws.

Staff are always welcoming and friendly. It's nice place for a sunny day because they have the restaurant front open. I love the pizzas, it's a shame that we didn't have room for dessert!

Good food at a reasonable price - would recommend ordering a starter and main though as the trend here seems to be giant plate, small portions.

All good, quite tight on space in some seating areas. Service was inattentive towards the end of the evening but food was good. Overall good Italian menu with some great variety to the normal drudge of commercial Italian on offer from chain restaurants.

Lovely food, friendly staff. Second time going there but was disappointed with the service as didn't even get offered dessert and by that point it wasn't even busy. Main course came out quickly and would probably still go back

We've dined here before so was expecting a lovely evening out. Unfortunately it wasn't to be on this occasion. We waited an hour between entrees and mains with no update from the kitchen on the timing. Then one of our mains was a raw steak when it should have been a medium-well done.

We were given a table in the back area, which i didn't know existed before now. To be honest we were happy to be away from a large group of 40 in the main restaurant and our area soon filled up After we arrived. The waitress was very attentive, explained the specials and gave us recommendations. The food was really good, tasty and very reasonably priced. My only gripe was perhaps my pasta was a little too al dente, but it didn't spoil me enjoying it. A complimentary drink on the house was served with the bill, which is always a winner in my book. Definitely recommend.

I've been to his restaurant Sewell times and it was the worst day. Food arrived before than drinks and they keep forgetting drinks when we ordered them. We required extra ingridients on the pizza but they also forgot. Good was good tho!

Lovely little place, visited a few times now. Food is all delicious, pretty simple Italian stuff but that's a good thing - good Italian is about simple bold flavours coming together. The menu is pretty big so just going for the specials is my tactic. Staff very nice, friendly and casual atmosphere, pleasant interior, decently priced. Very much recommend.

Fabulous restaurant, very helpful staff and utterly delicious food! We had the garlic, tomato and pesto bread to begin which is always amazing, then combination of steaks, crab pasta and pizza for mains - all absolutely perfectly cooked and the staff are very attentive with drinks too!

Really enjoyable evening with friendly waiting staff. Carpaccio for starter and tiramisu for dessert were both excellent. Mains weren't quite as special but still very tasty. Will come back for a pizza. Thank you!

Had dinner on NYE. The service was very slow as the restaurant was busy, had to wait 45 minutes for the starters, which was ok as he had time. The waiters were nice but some of them hardly spoke english. The tomato bruschette were not good as the tomatoes were bad (very hard and tasteless) and there was nothing else on the bruschette (no olive oil ?!). The aubergine and goat chees bruschette were very good. For the main my boyfriend had the lamb which was good. I had the crab linguine and there was hardly any crab in the pasta, did not taste much like crab. The pasta was very disappointing. The wines are cheap and the bottle we had was good. Overall i would say the prices are okay, the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, but the food is uninteresting and does not taste much like Italy. Will probably not go back.

Our waiter was quite short with us when we didn't want to order any sides, which he was quite pushy about. The mains were tasteless and too salty (linguine and spaghetti). The service was also incredibly slow. Will not be going back after such a disappointing experience.
