On The Rocks

Beautiful food and beautiful service! We had two starters wish were fantastic, a calamari and garlic mushrooms. For mains we shared a fish medley platter and a rump steak. The steak didn’t have any fat on at all and was just melt in the mouth, and the fish was beautiful. We really enjoyed using the hot rocks, and the staff were fantastic, really helpful and friendly. Will deffo return and have already recommended to others!

Had a good time at on the rocks. The food was excellent, we ate upstairs and we felt like we was out of the way. We would have preferred to be downstairs with the other diners, and better atmosphere.

Dean was a lovely friendly host very attentive. We both had a great evening in Bromsgrove the will definitely visit again! Loved the novity of using the hot stones was a great date night xx

Excellent place to dine, nice helpful staff, lovely choice of food, different to your normal restaurant in the fact that you cook it yourself at your table. Definitely be going back a lovely experience.

Excellent, fun meal. quality of food and service very good. Would recommend it for a special meal - not sure I would feel brave enough to take children though!

Very welcoming and knowledgeable staff. A great concept, which allows you to have your meat cooked the way you want it. Dean also mixes a mean Long Island Iced Tea!

Very good food and atmosphere.The staff were polite and the owner was very helpful.I would go again.Very small but cosy.Manger ask if it was a special occasion it was my daughter’s birthday and he had put a birthday banner up which was a nice touch.

Great steak, best I’ve had in a while, in fact all food was really good. Well looked after by staff. Nothing too much trouble will def return.

Very nice. Found it on Tripadviser. We were looking for something different compared to what we have in the Netherlands. Preparing on hot rocks was fun and the dessert was very nice. Service was also very kind, very kind and there to help whenever needed with cooking tips.

Fabulous birthday meal, lovely setting, amazing fresh food, best steak I have had in a very long time, it melted in your mouth, chips were delicious and all with great service, fun experience cooking your own food, well worth every penny, I shall be returning!

What a great experience. Cooked the steak and prawns on the volcanic rocks and wow they tasted great! Staff were friendly,polite and very helpful. Would highly recommend visiting this restaurant

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. The chips were incredible. Excellent food and experience as a whole. Would’ve been better had the meals come with cooking times for the individual meats/fish.

We had an amazing experience, the food was great and the staff were brilliant. Having met the owner Dean earlier in the day, we had asked him for directions to a cake shop and mentioned it was my husbands birthday, when we arrived at the restaurant he had put up a birthday banner by our table and when we had dessert they added candles and the staff sang happy birthday to him. 😀 We would definitely return. Thank you all for making our evening so special

Visited on the Rocks for the first time in early March . Had a truly delightful evening food service drinks were faultless!

We stopped in Bromsgrove for dinner to break a long journey home, we lived there many years ago. The welcome at The Rock was great and the food was excellent I highly recommend a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

Apart from my soup initially turning up cold, we had a fabulous meal with our friends on Saturday night. Our friends had a previous bad experience when the restaurant was under its previous ownership but they were glad that they gave it another try. The core menu has remained largely the same over the years but they now do regular specials and the drinks / Cocktail menu is now very extensive.

First trip to On the Rocks very impressed with both service and quality of food and we will be going back. The steak cooks perfectly on the lava stones

Lovely food and great staff! Definitely come again. I also felt that the food and wine was very reasonable, we also didn’t feel at all rushed. All the team are so friendly too which makes all the difference.

We had a lovely evening where we were celebrating my husband's 65th Birthday and his retirement. The food was excellent and the staff extremely attentive.

Cant speak highly enough of On The Rocks Dean and his staff never fail with the food and service we always receive. Took my wife for her birthday as she loves it there starter and main great as always but deans famous rasberry and white chocolate cheesecake was unbelievable best ive ever eaten. Great night with great food.

Nice restaurant, Great experience if you are want to celebrate with something a bit different! However our waitress didn't seem to know what she was doing and didn't explain what to do, even though she asked was it our first time there ! Spoke to us once when we ordered our drinks...(we heard other waitresses explaining what to do to customers). Chef was good and explained about the specials on offer and food was great, not an ounce of fat on the steak!

Quaint restaurant, with a unique selling point - cooking red meat mains food on the rocks yourself. Staff were friendly and approachable. The food cooked by the chefs is also delicious, we will likely be returning.
