We enjoyed our evening very much, we've been coming for a pre Christmas & December birthday meal for many years. The food was brilliant as usual & we'll be back in March when we have another birthday to celebrate.

Fantastic, unbelievable food with a excellent level of service. This is the second time we have visited and would come back again and again. Great atmosphere but remember to book in advance as is very popular.

The place is wonderful, food fabulous service amazing I would recommend to any one! One thing, we were by the doors upstairs and it was a bit cold but apart from that it was great!

As always, super food and excellent service. Such pleasant surroundings, no loud music or noise just a welcoming atmosphere. It is always a pleasure to eat here.

We went for our daughter"s 21st ,service and attention was top class. The food was fabulous,can not fault anything. Highly recommend On The Hill,cannot say even positives about it. Thank you so much guys we had a wonderful evening 😙

Excellent food and service as always. You'd have to go a long way to find a better restaurant. The restaurant has a nice ambience and the staff are always pleasant and helpful.

Great menu with interesting tastes, nice presentation, pleasant attentive staff, lovely building, excellent value, looking forward to returning. Stairs maybe a bit tricky for the elderly.

We arrived early for table , they were happy to show to the table , which was up stairs due to one of us on crutches that was not possible , explained that email had been sent say about the problem ,young waiter was very helpful and did his best to find a table on the ground floor which was very helpful

Lovely food and fantastic personnel. Return again and again to OTH and it is always so enjoyable. Sadly this visit was marred by a group of rowdy middle aged men who became louder and louder as the evening went on, and their bad language became quite unacceptable - personnel apologised but we gathered this crowd visit every Tuesday evening and are regulars. We won't eat at OTH on A Tuesday ever again.

Fantastic food and service. Menu varied with so many different flavours through the menu. One of the best meals I’ve had out for a long time would thoroughly recommend.

This restaurant has it all so right. Hope they don’t change anything. It is perfect. My favourite place. Just can’t get enough of there. Wish I had a little more jus/sauce with my pork main.

We travelled from Liverpool just to visit this restaurant. Its my third time this year and I will be back again before the year is out. The food was incredible and such great value for money. The staff are friendly and polite and nothing is too much trouble. Fantastic place.

Lovely meal once again at On the Hill. However far too many fish dishes on the menu and some dishes quite over priced for what you got.

Wonderful. Went for the first time last week with mum and daughter and was so impressed visited again this week with the husband! Service first class and food amazing. Will definitely visit again soon and recommend.

On the Hill has a varied and ground-breaking menu; flavours are cleverly 'themed'. The service was excellent, ensuring a memorable and happy experience. We'd recommend it without hesitation.

Fantastic food. Lovely staff. Brilliant venue. We have never been disappointed with any food choice. It is a family favourite especially for special occasions. Cannot wait for our next visit.

Food was delicious. All staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a lovely place with a welcoming atmosphere. Child friendly too, ( I had my 3 year old, well behaved granddaughter with me) which is a massive bonus.

Meal was excellent. Duo of beef main was delicious and so was the mushroom starter. Couldn't fault the food. Service could have been more attentive.

FOOD AND SERVICE WERE EXCELLENT. THERE WAS APPARENTLY SOME DIFFICULTY WITH THE COFFEE MACHINE. THE COFFEE WAS DELICIOUS, BUT NOT QUITE HOT. THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS VERY GOOD.

We went for lunch at the end of November. The Christmas lunch menu was exceptional and we all found our choices delicious. We stayed for three courses plus coffee and the service was just right - not officious but attentive and there were no long waits to be served. We will definitely return and recommend the restaurant to our friends.

On the hill is a well established slickly ran restaurant offering quality British produce executed nicely in a traditionally old fashioned setting to mirror the extremely old building which houses it. Helpful staff and good service with a comprehensive menu which caters for gluten free and vergetarians better than most. A comprehensive spirits and wine list will will have you relaxed and all at a very reasonably priced set menu price. This was our second time at on the hill and it was equallynif not better as good as the first.

I go at least four times a year, food is always amazing as too are the staff. The standard has never dropped over the years sinc they opened.

Excellent as ever. Great variety and innovation in the dishes, well kept wine, friendly and helpful staff, and a quirky old building to boot. What's not to like?

Lovely lunch. Excellent vegetarian choices. Very varied menu. Veggie friend said it was the best restaurant meal she'd had in a very long time. We rebooked on the spot!

Great food , good staff and service would highly recommend to all. Price wise this is very good value for money it's not cheap but you get value for money no doubt.

Fabulous as ever - I bring a different friend on each occasion Food and service excellent. Fantastic value for money. The portion sizes are huge so please be very hungry before your visit. Varied choice of dishes which caters for all. Can’t wait for the Christmas menu !

lovely food, good service and great ambience. highly recommend but make sure you are hungry cos portions generous! parking however is difficult but that is not restaurant's fault.

Chose to just have a starter & dessert. Generous quantity & their usual high standard. Although very busy as usual the service was friendly & efficient.

Nothing special ,food was good except my steak wasn't cooked to my request.long wait for drinks though it was very busy.Not a romantic setting at all.

The food is quite simply exquisite, so full of flavour and obviously amazing quality, the staff are friendly and helpful. This place is a little gem we are lucky enough to have in North Wales! Next visit already booked!

Food was excellent, the welcome was good, even the music was refreshingly enjoyable (not 80's) The staff were also spot on, attentive (even though you had a party in downstairs) and displayed a good sense of humour. Many thanks

Third visit here and enjoyed it immensely again. We will be back soon reasonable prices and the portions are a good size so go hungry !

My wife and I went for my Birthday lunch. I can only say everything was even better than my last visit a year ago. The food was well cooked,tasty and scored a 10 for presentation. The service is second to none,staff are polite attentive and friendly. Well worth the 120 miles round trip through the Welsh countryside.

The best restaurant in North Wales. Every mouthful is pure joy. Staff and service fantastic. I had not been for 6 months due to breaking my Patella and unable to drive,the anticipation was immense, they did not disappoint. Thank you once again.

This was our second visit and once again we enjoyed a lovely meal, the staff were friendly and efficient we shall definitely be visiting again
