Excellent meal as always , our American visitors were very happy and rated it the best food they had eaten during their stay here .

Brilliant food,superb service, can't fault it!Would highly recommend,my partner loved the gins there too.Vegetarian options were excellent according to her and my fish dishes were lovely.

The food is impeccable, the service is warm and friendly. Probably going to be our favourite restaurant from now on. I would have liked just a few more vegetarian options but what I could choose from was perfect.

Excellent food could not fault it the staff where friendly and very helpful will def be visiting again, the restaurant was also very good with loads of room

Our experience today for lunch at On The Hill was excellent. The food was superb and the service very good too. Can't remember the last time we had such a good meal out.

A fabulous meal with excellent friendly service and lovely atmosphere. The lemon roulade was amazing, exactly the right mix of lemon sharpness, crunchy meringue and smooth lemon cream.

As always EXCELLENT from the staff to the food. Wonderful place and atmosphere is great. I has originally booked a table for 2, but needed 2 more places due to family turning up last minute, this wasnt a problem for the staff and they had sorted another 2 places out immediately.

Amazing value,beautiful ingredients,fab cooking and menu,lovely staff,could not fault it.Hoping to come more often,and bring friends,menus change regularly and all fresh local ingredients are used

The menu is nicely varied and the cooking is excellent for all courses that we have tried. The mini desserts are a very good idea. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially with my wife's difficult gluten free diet. The surroundings may not be very grand but the whole experience was most enjoyable. We have been before and will definitely go again, we have also recommended the restaurant to our friends.

Excellent. Pity the price has gone up again! A woman had a severe heart problem and called the ambulance and we really liked the way the restaurant dealt with it and made no charge even though they had finished their meal.

We had a fabulous meal at peak time on Saturday and I could not find any fault with either the service or the food.fantastic! In particular the Fish Market was Devine and the baked Brie delicious. Has to be a 6 from me! I booked 6 weeks in advance and it seems you need to as it was full. You need to try it!

Great food in a relaxed and very pleasant setting. Service was great too. Would definitely recommend for lunch, there's a lunch menu which is very affordable.

I celebrated my 60th birthday with my husband at On The Hill. It was our first time at this restaurant, having moved into the area a few weeks ago. We had a lovely experience all round - the service was friendly and attentive, the ambience was spot on, and the food was excellent. I had a memorable time, and will be returning at every opportunity.

Another excellent meal today. Superb quality steak cooked to perfection. The citrus taster made a welcome change from the "ordinary" desserts often seen in restaurants. It was imaginative and appealing. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I shall be back.

This is a places visit regularly. Once again the good was wonderful, served by Andrew who was fantastic. You rleally cannot beat thus place for food and ambiance.

It is very easy to book on line, we Have been several times and on each occasion the food has been excellent, the service is excellent and the all round experience is wonderful

Food as usual very good. Service a little slow, as they were very busy. Decided not to have a dessert, as we didn't have time for one today.

Still our favourite place to eat, we’ve never been disappointed. Really enjoyed meeting up with friends on the Sunday before Christmas, we’ll be back again soon.

Family of 6 visited 23/12/18. The food was first class, and it is obvious great emphasis is placed on detail and "quality control". Service was good. In my opinion, the locally sourced Ice Cream was fairly ordinary. There are better alternatives in the area. One small criticism of the venue - the flush's push button was missing in the gents, and there was just a plastic rod sticking out. Other than that, a great place to eat. My family and I will definitely be going back.

The food at On The Hill is always too class. The hardest part is picking what to eat because everything sounds, and is, so amazing.

Excellent menu, lovely choices with variety in many of the dishes. The key word here is "flavours". The only down-side is the lack of welsh ales.

Excellent as usual. Excellent service, food and atmosphere. It was very busy but we still got our food without a long wait. One dish was wrong and was put right without a fuss. Highly recommended.
