Olive & Vine has been serving the leafy Manchester suburb of Didsbury, in one form or another, from its Wilmslow Road premises since the 1970s, where current proprietor Dimitris began work as a barman. Forming a more than healthy attachment to the site led Dimitris to take the reins himself, and in 2011 he cut the ribbon on the revamped Olive & Vine restaurant, where he now shares his passion for Mediterranean cuisine with a growing legion of loyal (and not any longer just local) followers.

Olive & Vine spans the length and breadth of the Mediterranean, offering up a peerless selection of tapas, meze, kebabs, special house dishes, desserts and drinks to Didsbury and diners who come to this Wilmslow Road restaurant from throughout the wider Manchester area. Fantastic food and drink deals are regularly chalked up here, and there’s even a great Sunday menu that blends the British tradition of the Sunday roast with equivalents poached from Greek and Middle Eastern cuisines. The Greek rosto, for example, consists of lamb on the bone cooked in red wine and tomato with Mediterranean herbs, something best rounded off with some sweet and delicate baklava.
