Quality of the food is excellent and service is very good. Atmosphere and appearance are of high standard. Can be a bit noisy at peak times.

Great service, very attentive. We were celebrating our first anniversary. We had our wedding in Ognisko and the staff remembered who we were and gave us complimentary lemon vodka! The building is beautiful and the food is just superb. We will be back!

Delightful menu and excellent standard. Staff and ambiance provide a most enjoyable dining experience. A wonderful venue close to the Albert Hall. We sat on the terrace overlooking the gardens - highly recommended.

It was a nice day so we sat on the marquee covered terrace. Service was very smooth and efficient (and pleasant) despite the pre-Proms crowd. We both ate from the pre-theatre menu and our food was excellent and pretty good value for the calibre of food and location. A good choice away from the S Ken scrum.

Great Polish food and excellent service. Loved their cocktails. Great location and beautifully appointed restaurant. In good weather the terrace is great. The prices are reasonable.

Lovely food. We had the set lunch and the fish was delicious and beautifully presented. We enjoyed the wine and bread which was different. We would recommend this restaurant as unusual and very good.

As ever, the food, service and ambience were excellent. Staff are friendly, efficient and patient. Three of us made it to the Proms on time and the remaining four lingered over drinks. A lovely evening.

We never actually got to experience the resultant as we booked for Sunday evening at 21:15 which was the last booking but when we arrived we were told that they were going to close at 22:30. We decided that this not not sufficient time to enjoy our meal. Of course we were disappointed but what really did anoy us was that there was little empathy shown by the lady that greeted us even though we explained that we did not consider an hour sufficient time for a three course meal.

Great location for Royal Albert Hall. The dining room is elegant and the service was excellent you could ask lots of questions about the menu. The food was good but unfortunately my rump of lamb was a bit on the tough side. Our starters of potato pancakes were very good

The place is great and offers a really pleasant vibe. However, the quality of food is not amazing. I am Polish and wanted to impress my English friend with our traditional cuisine. We had few starters which were really delicious and a duck for the main. Unfortunately the meat wasn't very good. Luckily a bit of vodka and some very nice wine helped to make the experience positive.

Interesting menu obviously highlighting Polish themes and ingredients such as marinated herring, stews with dumplings, pork in many forms, very nicely presented. The dishes are largely traditional but with contemporary twists on flavours and accompaniments. And anything connected with Vodka is available! There is a handsome dining room and friendly and helpful service. It's not cheap but it represents good value, particularly the set menu.

Varied menue, good choices, nice service. Elegant dining room. Alas the noise level can dampen the joy of conversation . Surely this could be improved in order to engance the otherwise lovely dining experience.

Ognisko is a real find; I've eaten here before, and was delighted to come back. It's one of my favourite London restaurants. The food is unfussy but classy, well cooked and delicious, and the service from every member of staff you meet is courteous, charming, happy, and efficient. There was a real buzz the night we went - apparently it was the 75th anniversary of the building being given to the Polish Government in exile during the war - and the dining room was full. Wonderful atmosphere. We dined on the lovely terrace at the back overlooking the garden square. There is also a comfortable bar for drinks and bar snacks, which is also usually busy. O yes, and they have a good cocktails list. And really, not expensive.

Fabulous restaurant. Great place for dining with friends or pre theatre. Embassy style dining room with lovely terrace area. Great bar with fabulous choice of vodkas cocktails and wines and spirits. The bar food menu and a la carte menu look amazing but we opted for the pre theatre menu and were not disappointed. Delicious goose rillettes and a mackerel salad to start followed by a marinated salmon and traditional polish pork dish. Portions extremely generous so we could t manage the mouthwatering desserts although that could also be due to fact that we ate all the wonderful breads on the table before our meal arrived. Will definitely go back. Staff were charming and friendly.

A very enjoyable meal in a relaxed environment. Good value for money and ideal for a pre-theatre supper if you are going to the Albert Hall. We didn't have time for a drink in the bar but it was very busy without being too noisy.

Lovely setting. Great vodkas. Food a little bland. On a busy Saturday night service was slow and disorganised and dinner disrupted by a very noisy large table.

Wonderful food. Kind service. We had lunch in the beautiful terrace with the views of a quiet park. Downside, the food took a while to be ready and coffees took so long that they arrived warm to our table, but other than that we have no complaints.

another great meal and fun time. Food was really good, got to sample some new flavoured vodkas and a honey beer. Only minor grumble was the service which, at times, was a bit haphazard e.g. had to ask for milk for the coffee three times and remind the waitress about a soft drink twice. Will be going again soon.

Outstanding! Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent service. Delicious food. All of the staff were so very friendly, we both felt at such ease. The menu was different from everywhere else, so I assume authentically Polish, and had plenty of choice. All of the food that we ordered, and we were greedy, was delicious. Prices were very reasonable. My nicest dining out experience for some time. We look forward to returning in better weather to take advantage of their terrace. Try the Zoladkowa vodkas even if, like me, you're not a vodka drinker.

A few weeks ago we were there for dinner, this time we went back with friends for lunch and it was as good as ever. We shared the grilled meat starter - absolutely delicious. Mains were consistently good (especially the chicken livers) and the poppy-seed cake for dessert was also very tasty. Service was friendly and professional. Many thanks to all the team.

We have had excellent meals and service here before. Today it was very disappointing. Too many diners meant the kitchen was obviously stretched. The food was very, very slow to arrive and although it tasted good, it was lukewarm. We didn't send it back because we had to get to the Albert Hall for a 2.30 performance and after arriving at 12.45 we were served our tepid main course at 2.00pm. Don't know if we'll risk it again which is a shame because it is a place we looked forward to visiting.
