Nutmeg Indian Restaurant

I’m a Midlands man so I know good curry. This blew anything I’ve had out of the water. You will not be disappointed. Service, food, atmosphere and excellently priced.

Modern Indian food from the many states of India served well and with buzzy atmosphere. Different menu and quality compared to some of the more traditional curry houses

Delicious Indian Food, Very well Presented. Enjoyed the ambience, tasted of the dishes and their authenticity. The portion sizes were good and the pricing was just apt considering the quality of food served. The service was very good as well. So, it ticked all our boxes !

Food was fantastic but disappointed with our table being sat right by the door. But everything else very good. Staff very helpful with advising what to order.

Food was great but I felt we were forgotten. Other larger tables got lots of attention and we had to repeatedly catch the eye of the staff. Food wise we had the tasting menu which was a great way to experience lots of different dishes, and it’s tasted very nice!

Excellent food and service. They have some milder dishes but most were quite hot - even the tandoori items. The menu could do with a heat guide, that said the staff were very helpful when choosing dishes. Nutmeg had a good selection of drinks and desserts. If you like authentic fresh Indian cuisine with a modern twist this is the place for you.

Delicious freshly cooked food and interesting menu. The saffron gin and tonics were lovely. Attentive service too. Tried a variety of dishes and all were very good.

We had a nice dinner at Nutmeg. The service was really good and the food was delicious. We tried a starter and two mains with rice and Naan bread. We felt satisfied.

Amazing food! Highly recommended! The curries are the best in town... perfection Atmosphere was lovely. They have a cocktail menu but will make you any cocktail you like.

Amazing food - the meat was so tender and the flavours very rounded. Lots of choice on the menu. Efficient and friendly service. Just a shame it is so noisy (we must be getting old). The noise is the only reason for marking it down. Everything else is great.

Noisy, with two large parties, struggled with conversation at times, maybe avoid the weekend for intimate meal! Service good, food excellent, though too rich for personal taste so probably won't return.

Good food, but I thought it was expensive (£94 for 2). Very noisy. They sat us between 2 groups making it difficult to talk and spoilt the evening.

Really good meal, both of us were very pleased with our different meals. Exceptional starters, the lamb chops for me and squid for my partner, both of which we felt were as good a starter as we had. Great service, including a very good red wine recommendation to go with the main course.

Amazing service, amazing food! Waitress memorised our order, there was 10 Of us. Thoroughly knew all about the dishes and best wines to go with the food. Will definitely be returning soon.

Food spectacular as usual. Accoustics difficult downstairs tho - was hard to hear each other. Table was very tight but we were warned it would be. Booked for a wheelchair user and was great to see they’d taken the chair away in readiness.

The staff were very welcoming and accommodating and were incredibly knowledgeable about the food they serving, which itself was incredible, and the taster menu they offered was one of the best I have had. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

The staff were so friendly and attentive from the moment we walked into the restaurant. Nothing was too much hassle and they made sure we had drinks sorted and food ordered as soon as we were ready. The food itself was amazing, by far the best curry I've ever had, didn't feel as heavy and greasy as other restaurants and you could tell everything was made fresh to order and with a lot of effort put in. I'm looking forward to going back some time in the future and will definitely be recommending to my friends!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, fantastic food. A range of local beers would be a great addition as not all of us drink wine or lager. Will definitely return.

This is the best food that I've had in an Indian restaurant in Bristol. Absolutely exquisite flavours. It stands up to be counted against the very best Indian restaurants that you could find in London. Excellent service as well.

Food sublime and service excellent. We had the taster menu which was delicately spiced and full of flavour. Unlike some taster menus, we were not hungry afterwards! The only downside to our experience was that we were seated in the rear room. The acoustics are poor and with a large party in there which arrived part way through our meal, we had to raise our voices to be heard at our table. We also felt cut off from the main restaurant.

We were welcomed and sat to our table. Nice and clean. Very efficient service, waiter listened to our request of not hurrying the food to us, food was really tasty and well presented.

This is not your average curry house. Expect flavour rather than heat. The Goan taster menu is a great way to experience a lot of the different dishes on offer. Also try the cocktails very, very different. loved it.

Brilliant service and equally brilliant food. We went for our anniversary and they were so kind giving us a free glass of procecco each, really nice touch. Would highly recommend.

Cannot fault the restaurant in any way it is simply the best . The tasting menu with the flight of wine is a fantastic way to try several different food choices with the wine to go with each course is absolutely the best tasting Indian I have eaten.

We really enjoyed it - the food was delicious and the place had a nice relaxed vibe. Being a Friday night it was busy and the service was a little hit & miss, not as attentive as we’d hoped but overall an enjoyable evening!
