Fantastic food and friendly helpful service. Menu has plenty of choice. Really love that the majority of the menu is gluten free with the items containing gluten marked. We will be back again soon!

The food was great, however the waiter advised us wrongly on the spicy level of the food. He was also a bit patronising. Would go again but hope for better service next time

Excellent meal and great service , lovely saffron gin and tonic too. Have been a few times and it’s always busy. Varied different choices from usual Indian fare.

Very disappointed and surprised as we have eaten there before and it was fabulous. Unfortunately our food was not great, Bombay potatoes were just a dish of new potatoes no flavour at all, sauce with curry not very tasty and all meals a little on the cold side!

Eating out in the majority of restaurants is the pleasure of being in the company of friends with food ranging from just about edible to very mediocre .It was a pleasure to discover Nutmeg with five friends who without exception raved about the quality of the food which was obviously cooked by a team who were extremely competent . Very good. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Staff we're helpful and knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu. Would definitely visit again. The only negative was that the soft drinks offered were limited (everyone in our group was driving). Overall an excellent meal with excellent service.

Simply excellent. Fantastic food, great selection of slightly different curries, all of which were beautifully cooked and presented. Definitely worth a visit - we'll be back!

Very friendly, welcoming and attentive staff, and the food was fantastic. The unique popadom accompaniment were so good that we ate so many that we couldn't finish our main courses, but they kindly packaged up our leftovers so we could take them home. Will be recommending to everyone.

Service was average as the guy serving us didn’t have much of a sense of humer. Food was dissapointg, it started so well as all the starters were very high standard and full of taste! The main dishes were a real let down, under spiced and full of bulk peppers and onion, the meat was just added to the gravy with no taste what so ever. Waited a while for the main to arrive of which took an hour! Wouldn’t eat here again.

Very good food service was slightly off as had to ask for drinks twice and not on a par with previous visits however they were very busy. Still a very enjoyable meal.

Been around 3 times now and the service, atmosphere and food are always perfect! Can’t fault it! Looking forward to our next visit! And would definitely recommend it!

Modern Indian food with lots of thoughtful creativity, in a colourful cheery environment, with very helpful staff. Loved It. Sound can be a bit loud, but creates a sense of buzz.

Excellent service as always. I was disappointed in the biriany this time though. On previous visits, the biriany tasted like it had been cooked with the bread top in place. This time it was clear that the bread had been added at the last minute prior to grilling. Nowhere near as good. A bit like ordering a pie and getting a casserole with a pastry lid. Despite the differences in the ingredients my king prawn biriani looked the same as the chicken biriani on the next table Disappointing.

This was our first time at Nutmeg and we were not disappointed. Amazing food, great atmosphere and lovely staff - we will certainly come back for more!

Lovely delicately spiced food in a wonderful ambience.I thought perhaps linen napkins would be preferable to paper ones as it is not a cheap eat

Enjoy a fabulous meal at Nutmeg last evening. Food was exceptional and the customer service was of the highest level. Waiting staff fully understood the menu and were able to give good advice and recommendations. A great evening out.

Fantastic food! The only criticism was that on a busy Saturday night the kitchen and staff seemed struggling to keep up with demand, so service was slower than you'd normally expect. This didn't detract from the flavour though!

The restaurant is lovely, beautiful decor, the food was amazing and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The service was excellent, my favourite restaurant .

Booked our table for 845pm, not ready, suggested we went to their bar around the corner where we would be given a discount, returned to find we had another wait of 5/10 minutes and eventually seated. Very noisy and could hardly hear each other speak although the food was delicious. Perhaps trying to pack too many covers in.

Just the most Perfect evening, nutmeg is fantastic, it has excellent menu and staff. The menu is layered with flavour and aromatic combinations, and the staff have great knowledge and are able to advise you in your choices and drinks pairing. it’s different to most other restaurants in so many ways. The best option is to try it out, you won’t be disappointed.

We had an early booking as we’d been busy all day. We were shown to our table quickly and given menus. We were asked if we wanted poppadoms & chutneys, we replied yes. They arrived but when it rains, they go slightly soft from having stood around, my husband went to have a quiet word & they were more than happy to change them. Service was faultless but the new young staff were not very attentive, when service was required, it took several attempts to attract their attention. Food was tasty & fantastic as usual. The atmosphere & ambience were great & the place filled up pretty quickly.

Lovely food and a great opportunity to try dishes from a specific part of India as the tasting menu moves from one region to another every few months. Interesting and unusual cocktails. Excellent service and a very warm welcome from manager Ellie.

This was a booked table for two for supper. We requested a quiet table which we didn't get. It was extremely noisey. The service was also very slow. But the food was excellent vegetarian curry, cod curry, white rice & nan washed down with Kingfisher. Next time we will try a less busy period

Fantastic food! Would have been full marks but the service was slow at times with staff setting tables rather than bringing drinks to upstairs tables.

This was our fourth time of eating at Nutmeg.Once again,the food was excellent.The service was outstanding and we are really looking forward to having a meal there again soon.Cannot fault anything at all.

Excellent food, but very poor service. Food is fantastic, but service doesn’t match. Waiting 15 minutes for drinks order, waited 35 minutes for mains with no offer of more drinks, or taking empty plates away.

Great ambiance, attentive and knowledgeable staff, delicious food! I’ve recently moved to Bristol and was recommended this restaurant as one of the best Indians in the city. It did not disappoint! The menu is not too overwhelming with a good balance of classic and slightly more unusual dishes. We ordered of the a la carte, but the taster menu looked wonderful as well. The staff were friendly and always happy to help, and our food came out in a timely manner despite the busy restaurant. Everything we got was delicious, and the pricing isn’t outrageous either. Would highly recommend!

As good as last time, food was delicious, lamb starter was so tender. Cannot fault the food in any way but did fancy the drinks were a little on the dear side. Would still go back though.

Best Indian food I’ve tasted in a long while. Diffent to your normal Indian but the best. The chef special prawn dish was absolutely amazing.

Great restaurant. Service was fantastic and food stunning whilst remaining competitively priced. Can not recommend highly enough. The monkfish is incredible. Speak to the waiting staff who will give good recommendations. Fabulous restaurant.
