I have been wanting to visit Nutmeg for so long having read such great things and seen numerous awards being given. My chance at last came and it is safe to say I was not disappointed. This is authentic cooking, and very far removed from that usually served up to please our English palates. The poppadoms were light, crispy and without the usual oily sheen and the dips were exquisite. I could have quiet happily munched on my starter of onion bhajis all evening but that would have meant missing out on the monkfish curry. It was tasty, gorgeous food in a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Make that booking now - I for one am already planning my return trip

The food was very tasty and the ambiance was nice. However I went with a friend from India who thought the food was very mild. For me the spice levels were perfect but for someone who prefers their food spicier it might be worth asking the kitchen to accommodate for this specifically.

Food was fantastic, the only thing missing is kids menu, my 4 year old could not have anything apart from rice! Where we as adults really enjoyed all the rich flavours, for the kids it would be nice to have grilled meats without spices, just a suggestion! Overall really special meal.

Will definitely be going again. Recommend the sweet potato & pea curry!

Lovely food as always, best Indian food I've ever had. Only issue was that we felt a little undervalued compared to the other guests, perhaps because we are a bit younger. Much slower service compared to other guests and the waiter gave a very detailed explanation of the menu to other guests which we did not receive. Would still highly recommend.

The food was very good plus good service. Always happy to return.

It was my sister's 60th birthday, and we were allowed to take our own cake and balloon to the restaurant. The curries were absolutely delicious, as usual - we have visited before. It was a nice finale to a great day. Everyone joined in wishing her a "Happy Birthday".

Excellent food and friendly, knowledgeable service in a very pleasant environment. A different take on the ‘classic’ curry house menu with some really interesting dishes. Well worth a visit.

5 of us were in the back room and the acoustics were unbelievably bad. We couldn't hear the other side of the table but could hear the table behind us in gory detail. It was so bad we went to my house for coffees etc. Spoilt my birthday dinner.

Good food but service was rushed and a little rude at times although I think this was due to the restaurant being so busy, but based on the prices surely the restaurant should allow for this. Being stuck in the “back” of the restaurant has limited chance for atmosphere
