We really enjoyed the North Sea Fish restaurant. You can have your fish grilled or fried, and the chips are great!! I wish I could have fit in dessert, as the portions are huge and the service is really friendly.
We were very pleased, but not surprised as the North Sea is always very good. I believe that they provide the best t fish & chips in London
We had the best fish and chips ever. The service was excellent the atmosphere was relaxed and it was terrific value for money. We shall definitely go again.
North Sea is one of our favourite fish restaurants. Two of us had fish fried in batter whilst my wife had 1/2 a halibut and I had haddock fried in matzo meal. We all agreed that the fish was cooked to perfection. Remember to ask for the chips to be cooked more than normal otherwise they are a little soggy. But, as usual, a great meal in this very popular restaurant.
Excellent quality fish - they even do grilled versions. Service professional, efficient and friendly. Excellent quality fish - they even do grilled versions. Service professional, efficient and friendly
Good quality fresh fish, piping hot food, freshly cooked. Friendly service. Easy on line booking. Good value for money, no frills. We go quite often
The staff were very attentive and polite. The food was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want a good fish and chips
A great atmosphere in which to enjoy well cooked and tasty fish and chips together with an excellent range of beers. Friendly staff and efficient service.
Excellent repas - produits de qualité, cuisiné par la maison, en ce compris la sauce tartare accompagnant le poison et le tiramisu. Le service pourrait être un peu plus avenant dans le chef de certaines personnes.
I've used this restaurant for many decades - it is the best fried fish in London. Excellent staff and nice surroundings and fairly central. .
Good quality food and efficient and friendly service. A great selection of fish always available, and a range of drinks to choose from. All in all a very nice way to enjoy a traditional meal.
Never disappointed. The best fish restaurant in the UK by far....and probably the 2nd best fish restaurant in Europe after "Botafumeiro" fish restaurant in Barcelona.
All perfect. The food, the service, the atmophere. I would recommend it as it is noce and cozy and easy to reach if you stay next to King’s cross
It is difficult to write about this restaurant without repeating myself: I don't live in London but do eat lunch at North Sea Fish Restaurant perhaps five or six times a year. The high standard of the food and its presentation, and the friendly ambience of the dining room, are consistently maintained. It is a pleasure to eat there and to take friends knowing its total reliability to provide good meals at reasonable prices.
Excellent as always. Sea bass fillets delicious. Very good fruit sorbets. Thoroughly recommend to book in the evening. When we left there was a queue for tables.
As always, gorgeous fish. Jumbo size is really huge, so go with a big appetite if you are going for the upsize! Nice restaurant, very helpful friendly staff. Will return again and again.
good food and excellent service with a great attitude by the staff. Also good value for London . I will definitely go again and I recommend it to all visitors to London
Ottimo fish and chips buono salmone ai ferri, ottimo servizio estrema cortesia e gentilezza gottimo vino Perfetto per una cena londinese tanto che stasera torniamo
Only complaint is the rather small table for the four of us. Food was excellent, wine delicious and the service leisurely. Very enjoyable. Michael Harold
This restaurant excells at fish. We always order the grilled Dover Sole. It is cooked well, served hot with fresh lemon and it is worth the journey. Bottomless fries is just a bonus
As ever the best fish & chips served by the friendliest people ever. Can’t fault it at all. Try it you won’t be disappointed at all.

Fantastic food and lovely environment. No salt in the food, allowing us to season exactly as we liked. Grilled fish was actually better than fried.
Good old fashioned London fish restaurant. No flash sauces/pickles. Just excellent food served by really pleasant staff. Also...no need to dress up. All in all a little gem if you like fish. Excellent.
Lovely well cooked fish and chips; refreshing sorbet. So we’ve booked for Another visit, on 22/11, and more of us next time. What more can I say? Sheila Moy.
Absolutely the best fish and chips I had in my life ! Quality fish , crispy , but not full of fat like in most places . Top !
Le service est irréprochable et les produits de qualité. La réservation par internet est un plus quand on voit l engouement suscité par ce très bon restaurant
Superb Fish and Chips, with a good selection of other grilled fish. A nice relaxed atmosphere where you can eat good food at reasonable prices, Wonderful
Really lovely restaurant, well cooked fish (lemon sole) to order, grilled or fried, your choice, great service and reasonably priced. We will return, my husband says 11 out of 10!
Fabulous fish and chips if a little expensive. Very convenient for train stations. Good quality house wine. Lovely staff Will return as soon as possible.
Very nice staff and atmosphere. The food was amazing. Haddock and chips very tasty. Fish nicely cooked and not greasy. Best broccoli side dish I have ever tasted.
Excellent fish&chips and superb service. After many years it confirms to be a reference for F&C in London. We will definitely come back for our next tripz
Great place Fish is so good and fresh I will come back
Everything was superb.. The fish. The preparation. The servers. The wines. We dined there last year when we flew in from Ottawa in Canada and will certainly be back.
Very well cooked fish and plenty of variety. Matzo batter is a good option. But, like a lot of places, it would be better if they didn't play music.
The food was excellent. The service was terrible. We waited half-an-hour to even place our order, and only then because we had to catch the eye of a waitress. Then it was a lengthy wait for the starters to arrive. When the mains came we were given no cutlery and had to wait for a waitress to send someone else to get it for us. No one even asked if we wanted a dessert, so I never even saw the dessert menu. However, all three of us decided to have a glass of port. After a time, the waitress came back and said they had no port, so we opted for dry sherry, which in my mind is an aperitif, NOT an after dinner drink. We had no water on the table, although we asked for it when we placed our initial order, so we asked again and had water with our sherry! The restaurant was full when we arrived, but there seemed to be no organisation for who was waiting each table, as we were just dealing with whoever's eye we could catch. The food was terrific, however.
The fish was, as usual, excellent. One slight frustration: we booked a table online (via Quandoo), and the earliest midday time available was 14:15; but the kitchens are scheduled to close at 14:30, so some options (pies, specifically, other than the [excellent] smoked haddock fish pie) were no longer available. So be aware that after the lunch hour rush is over, the time is limited.
Very good fish, had the halibut, perfectly grilled. It took a while to serve it but was told it is because it is being grilled fresh: can’t really complain, it was worth the wait!
Myself and work colleagues often visit here before a nightshift. Service and food is impeccable. Always very fresh fish and the refil chips is a fantastic touch even though the fish is more than enough to fill you up
Excellent British fish and chips at a very reasonable price. Staff super friendly and helpful and service was quick especially considering the busy Friday night when we visited. Will visit again for sure.
The best Fish and Chips in London, with a very good selection of fish and refillable chips. The staff is very helpful and the restaurant has a very "vintage" vibe and I love it.
staff very friendly and helpful. Always lovely fish and very large servings. Had a wonderful time with friends. Thank you, we will be back again.
It's delicious, fresh, elnough quantity and affordable. The restaurant is clean and have enough space and the stuff are friendly and their service are quickly. Nothing to say fish and chips are delicious but sauteed and grilled finish are also delicious. The appetizers are delicious, too. Sometimes, it's crowded. I have gone to several times this restaurant, I think that not only tourists but also a lot of the traditional locals go to this restaurant.
Visiting from the USA - 2nd time this week we’ve eaten there! Love the fresh taste of the fish and the fresh coleslaw is to die for!
Great food. Good service. Big portions. Nothing bad to say about it at all. Would def recommend it to anyone. Take out joint right beside it.
Wonderful food. Highly recommend. Good good good good good good good yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
Delicious, very tasty and well prepared fish and chips. Prawns and onion rings very well cooked. Very busy, this is not a fast food shop!
Lovely fresh fish, haddock pie first rate, service unpretentious and prompt, crumble home made, clean and simple decor, restaurant one of the best of its kind.
Small place, good food... they have also a take away next to the restaurant. Reccomended to every one who is looking for a nice fish and chips.
North Sea Restaurant's usual high culinary standards maintained; friendly and efficient staff; pleasant atmosphere - indeed ideal for the working lunch I had there on Thursday. If I lived in London I would eat much more frequently at this restaurant.
