This restaurant came recommended by a friend but we were disappointed to say the least. Food was average and atmosphere none existent. If you are looking for authenticity, avoid this place.

Great atmosphere and soundtrack but that might just be our age. Service was good and we had a nice evening. Food is mixed. Some of the descriptions make the dishes sound more than they are, our picos cheese plate to start was a couple of slabs of too cold cheese with some chutney, a bit underwhelming and the fries with fried eggs and chorizo, a signature dish, were poor. Tasteless fries, overcooked chorizo and a portion that was bigger than a local chippy. Not tapas I'm afraid. Highlights were the hake with mussels along with the croquettas, but overall too much reliance on the fryer.

Friendly staff and good selection of food which was delicious. Lots of vegetarian food too. Lovely looking restaurant and in good central position in town.

Horrible smell lingering in this restaurant very offputting, food nice but very slow coming out, in dribs and drabs...nice food once received but service also slow wouldn't return.

Food was very tasty and a great variety on offer. Our reservation was at quarter to 6 so we weren't expecting it to be as busy as it was. Only downside was our table was backing onto the area of the bar where the waitresses all processed the orders so it didn't make for a very relaxing experience

Lovely food as always. However we felt a bit rushed as we were told we only had the table until a certain time. Better atmosphere in the neon Jamon smithdown.

Lovely little place, food is gorgeous and staff are very knowledgeable on dishes which helps choose which dishes to order, lovely atmosphere within and although tables are close not to close to invade on your own space

Lovely food and attentive staff. The gordal olives are exceptional, and the Catalan hake was absolutely delicious. A bit pricey, but well worth a visit!

Staff very friendly but the service was slower than previous visits. Food was delicious as always, the manchego croquettes and ribs were particular highlights. We love the liquor 43 coffees, but were a little disappointed with the ones we got in this visit- much less cream and the liquor 43 was all at the bottom so we had to stir which ruins the idea of a liquor coffee.

Good food. Big portions, but the only downside was the baby squid was slightly over cooked and chewy. Discount cocktails before 7pm Monday to Friday too

They could have adjusted to that we where 6, and not 4. This made the tapas meal very strange. The food and wine was good though.

Midweek visit imbetween Xmas and New Year. Food and service excellent, but music rather loud and along with a large party sitting next to us meant we spent most of the evening shouting at each louder and the servers therefore increasing said noise level! Usually visit Smithdown place branch which is a much more relaxed and overall more enjoyable experience.

We really enjoyed our visit to Neon Jamon on Berry Street in Liverpool. The restaurant is conveniently located for visiting Liverpool's Georgian and Rope Walks Quarters. Our table was reserved for lunch time and we ordered a total of 6 dishes on the 2 for £9 offer. We were not disappointed. The food was tremendous, portions generous and staff excellent. Being Tapas we looked no further the the draught Estrella which provided the perfect liquid accompaniment. Having eaten in the majority of Liverpool's Tapas restaurants we can confirm that Neon Jamon is one of the best available. Don't forget to visit us at liverpool tourist.guide which is full of information about Liverpool.

The food was just ok. Some of it a bit bland and boring. I wouldn't rave about it. There was no chicken Tapas dish which I thought a bit strange. They do not have ice cream to go with any of the desserts, another thing that's strange. The meatballs were nice. The hamburgers and vegetarian sliders were really boring. One of the desserts was a special, a lemon tart. It came and it was the same size as a supermarket mince pie. Really poor portion size. Not the best value for money.
