Amazing authentic Jamaican food. The restaurant felt a bit cramped sitting near to other tables. The drinks were a bit expensive for size of glass
Delicious food and great atmosphere! Service with a smile. I recommend the Negril platter for the full Negril experience! Perhaps with the refreshing homemade lemonade.
Amazing night, however I was sat by the door so I had to keep pushing it closed when people came in to avoid getting cold. I asked to move and I was told that the next table would arrive shortly. Only problem with that was, why didn’t they just sit the arriving table next to the door if we were allowed to change seat? Other than that, I will 100% go back. Lovely food and atmosphere.
Fabulous food, lovely atmosphere. Will definitely return. :-) We had the curry platter, choosing chicken and goat. They were gorgeous as was the salt fish and ackee.
Food wasn’t nice, the meat was dry and chewy and slow service. Has gone downhill since my last visit. Won’t be going back to Negril
My 2nd time at Negril - will be back in November for my birthday! Food good, rum punch mmm.... lovely attentive staff - love the atmosphere!
It’s always amazing great food great service great vibe. I would reccomebd that all should take a visit and lastly it’s great value for your money.
Absolutely delicious. Prices have increased aparantly but very impressed with first visit. Without doubt would go again but would like a second waiter as one serving the entire restaurant made service slow.
Been there a couple of times. Food is delicious and staff are really nice. Their cocktails are really tasty too. Everything has really nice flavours.
Excellent authentic Jamaican cuisine. Atmosphere was wonderful and we had a fantastic time! The staff were attentive and friendly and I would recommend it to everyone.
Smallish restaurant but with heated and covered patio area - superb Caribbean food. The goat curry is reliably excellent, the Oxtail was beautifully flavoured and a generous portion. Sides are equally good - and to top it off, lovely staff.
Delicious with attentive service. Great atmosphere with a fantastic choice of food and drink. Very friendly waiting staff and tasty food, very generous portions. Happy customers
Great service and fab food as always, 2 starter and the negril platter which never disappoints, such a nice evening so we sat outside and it was great atmosphere
Always such a good atmosphere been there a few times now & no matter what dish I choose it be we let's me down. Best Caribbean restaurant ever A***
Lovely waitress, delicious Caribbean food, chilled atmosphere on the outdoor picnic tables with just the right volume of music in the background. Aaand great rum and chocolate cake!
The food was brilliant and staff were really friendly. It was a warm evening and sat outside, that helped too. Can't wait to go back.
Food was really nice but I had to wait 10 minutes after every else got their food which wasn't great. Service was mediocre and the decor is very basic but I would return based on the quality of the food mainly
Tasty Jamaican food, which seemed pretty authentic! Plantain and the jerk gravy was the highlight. With the good service, 10/10 would recommend to a friend
Staff were fantastic food was great. My only issue is the place is too hot. I could not wait to leave due to the heat.
We had a lovely time at Negril with great food and fabulous service! We had a really nice table outside surrounded by plants and flowers.
Amazing food!! Good service, nice atmosphere, There unique chilli sauce is not for the faint hearted. Will be returning the next time I'm in London
The chicken was delicious as always - with great sides. Especially enjoyed the plantain. Lucky to get a table at late. Price as this is such a popular place.
A great menu, with loads to choose from and genuine, aunthentic Caribbean food. We were more than satisfied with the taste and portion size and look forward to our next visit!
My 3rd tome of eating here. The food is still wonderful. It was busy so we had to wait a little to pay bill once being served but waiter was polite, warm and friendly. He recommended a Brixton beer which my brother enjoyed. They can easily adjust menu to cater for intolerances with lots of choice in the menu. Fabulous! We will go back again!
Great service surpassed only by delicious, authentic food. I had the curry goat but got food envy from the jerk chicken and veggie stew. I'll definitely be back!
I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere which was very laid back. The music was at a level that you could hold a conversation without shouting. I would definitely go again
The service and the food is exemplary - great authentic Caribbean food at reasonable price (not forgetting more than ample portions even for greedy people like me, lol!) Well done Negril, I will keep returning and bringing more people!
Negril was a fabulous night out. The service was excellent and the food was exceptional. I would highly recommend Negril food fab, ambiance super please go a visit Negril
Negril has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, and upon entry we were greeted warmly. Following being seated, we ordered drinks ( homemade ginger beer & lemonade), which were delicious. We tucked in to saltfish fritters, chicken curry and grilled seabass, which were truly scrumptious. I would recommend Negril to everyone, you won't be disappointed.
Food was great. The service was very good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Really nice experience but the toilets could definitely be better.
Great service with good range of well made food. The jerk chicken is great and all sides are of great quality. Lovely ambience and great location
The food and service is consistently great. Warm and friendly with a great soundtrack. The veggie selections are good but could do with maybe 2 more options. Will be returning soon.
I have lot of love for Negril as it has always provided delicious food at the right price in a relaxed, unfussed setting Ever since I lived in South London , I've tried to engineer friend meet ups at Negril when possible This hasn't changed even though I now live in Essex. Long may Negril reign as the best West Indian Kitchen in London.
The food was as authentic as could get, very tasty. Excellent service, waiter was very attentive. We will definitely be returning to taste other dishes.
Everyone enjoyed the food which tasted great . I had a pina colada cocktail which was one of the best i've had. The service was great - the only downside was the seating was very cramped..
Amazing food, only negative was that they had ran out of rice and peas so we had to have boiled rice, but my partner declared it was the best Jamaican he has ever eaten - which is a BIG deal coming from him! Cocktails were also amazing and the staff very friendly. Great place I will be recommending to friends and I will be back again!
Nice! The food was authentic, tasty and finger-licking good. The atmosphere was laidback with a decent service. I'll definitely go there again and recommend it for a proper West Indian experience!
Negril never fails to be anything but brilliant . The goat curry the plantain the cocktails The staff excellent Highly recommend d the place to anyone and everyone just not when I am there as I would like a table.
I love the fact the waiters and waitress are mostly carribean as well as the kitchen staff. Saltfish fritters were on point as well as the plaintains . My only criticism is the mains - jerk chicken was mor of a bland roast chicken, sea bass was bland with no flavour. We spoke to staff about this and they informed that they had to remove the spice to suit the palets of the European customers, how about customers who want to taste authentic jerk chicken? We recommend adopting nandos style were you can order your chicken according to spice, chef was not willing to that do that but willing to marinate the chicken over night to get some flavour- a start I guess but such a shame african- carribean customers are no longer being catered to in Brixton!
Had a chilled relaxed time with friends and family for my Birthday. Only criticism is that a couple of items had run out on the menu and our booking was for 6PM. Going back on a summer night to experience eating outside, hopefully full menu available. :-)
had the jerk chicken platta .. Which came with plaintain , rice n peas, gravy, salad , fish fritters ..great food good price .. Xx
Really good food, alittle too cramped inside. Music from next door was annoying. I would definately go back again. Curry chicken wrap was excellent. Also sweet potatoe fries.
Very nice and friendly staff, yummy food and amazing garden for sunny weather. Enjoyed it much and definitely recommend it to people who like to try new things:-)
Excellent food, nice atmosphere will definitely visit again. Food came in good time, would recommend the akee and saltfish and frites. Shame I was driving as had I not been I would have had the rum punch it's delicious
A lovely meal which was reasonably priced. The staff were very attentive and polite. Overall the atmosphere was really good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
There were few empty tables but the waiter refused to swap put worst table (right next to the entrance where people come and goes every few seconds, cold and disruptive) with the one which is empty. Never go back there again.
Lovely experience! The food was really delicious and the service was great. The prices were very reasonable and it was good value for money. The only reason why I gave 5 was because the space was really cramped as the tables were too close together. Would definitely visit again though.
The only disappointment was that I was booked for a table outside which I didn't request or wanted. However the staff was brilliant and the food was delicious
Great food, good service, nice atmosphere, reasonably priced. Good selection of delicious vegan food Music not too loud. All in all a great local. I would recommend Negrils highly.
lovely relaxed atmosphere, v accommodating re being late for booking. Went with a born and bred Jamaican who loved the food. defo going to visit again.
