excellent food, great cocktails and perfect service. I like that the food menu is not large as what you get is cooked to perfection.
Lovely place and super friendly guys! Great oysters and... Mussels!
It was our first visit to this restaurant and it was fantastic there were six of us and the service and food was truly wonderful. We shall be going back again.
Great atmosphere and great food. While some of the starters and desserts are small, the main mussels main is epic. Would highly recommend and will be back again soon.
Mussels are good and a very nice dry prosecco which I recommend.
Really good. Food and service was great. A nice simple menu. The only con we could think of is that I think they ran out of bread. We had oysters and mussels with one of the suggested white wines. Definitely going back.
Whilst Mussel men is styled well, has very friendly and fun staff, and offers great cocktails, my wife and I were left disappointed with the food and the prices. 6 half langoustines were much smaller than any I've had elsewhere, and all were berried (pregnant) which made for a disappointing starter. Thankfully the oysters went some way to counterbalancing this, as they were tasty. The mussels mariniere were unfortunately below average, with a large number that weren't properly cooked or still closed - certainly worse than most I've had anywhere else, and for a restaurant with 'Mussel' in it's name, I'd hoped this would be a speciality. We asked for some bread to soak up some of the mussel broth, but were told regretfully the oven wasn't working so bread couldn't be arranged. Finally with one dessert off the menu (due to the oven problem) we opted for the chocolate and cherries which was tasty, but small for the £5.50 price tag. After a thumb war with Captain Bob, which certainly injected some fun to the proceedings, we still left feeling that the food had not lived up to our hopes, and everything had cost slightly more than it was worth. Perhaps we were unlucky on our visit, or perhaps the bridge between pop-up success and permanent establishment hasn't quite been made by the Mussel men.
Amazing food, friendly staff, lovely setting. It is the perfect place for a date.
Food was good, but service was way too slow and distracted..
£28 for a lobster with was possibly the smallest one I've ever seen! Not even any claws!? They over charged on a salad by £2 for no reason and after telling us we could choose our seat, before the end of the meal the waitress asked if people could join our table?! Oh and not to mention they kept trying to take away our plates when we clearly weren't even nearly finished. Oh AND the card machine didn't work so we had to walk out of the restaurant to go and get cash to return and pay. Very disappointed.
Exceptional (seafood) Sunday roast with a twist. Relaxed atmosphere. Great service.
Mussel Men has a nice chilled atmosphere, lovely staff, and great fresh seafood!
The staff were so warm and welcoming, the food luscious and the cocktails heaven! We loved the whole, divine experience!
really good food, nice atmosphere! Really excellent! It would have been perfect if they had provided us with lemon wet wipes after the meal ;-)

Excellent seafood, very good service and a pleasant atmosphere. What more do you need?
Fantastic food, beautiful space - one to keep going back to!
Really nice relaxed atmosphere, service was excellent, food of a whole seafood platter with veggies , Sunday seafood roast at £25 was very reasonable generous portion. Would definitely go back
Great good great drinks great decor good music frendly staff nice garden area would recommend 10/10
I loved it! Food, drinks, atmosphere were excellent! Shame they had already finished the hand cut chips: they were clearly very good. :-)
This was my second visit here, the first was in July and my recent visit was in August. I love it here as service was friendly and they made sure we had everything that we needed from drinks to extra bread. Food was delicious and the atmosphere is good for couples or group of friends. They always have a "specials" option, and we went for the Mussels in garlic, previously we had the cream and lardons with mussels which was so heavenly we were mopping up the sauce with the bread! Pricing is very reasonable and affordable. The only bugbear were the smokers standing outside the doors to the back entrance of the back garden seating area. I just don't like the smell of cigarettes whilst we are eating. This was not the restaurants fault but perhaps the smokers should be advised that they need to go outside at the front on the street.
Mussels were over cooked and not really cleaned or debearde and sauce smelt off and the mussels seemed to be really good produce just a shame about how they were cooked. Service was ok but expect more from the reviews I read Dissapointing!
