Mount Gurkha Spice

Had a great time last night at the restaurant,everything was very lovely and to our expectations,thank you all at Gurkha spice for a great evening,.

We really enjoyed our meal! We took our 10 year old son and he loved it too! There is no children's menu, but he ate most of the king prawn dish that he chose. Definitely recommend.

Very nice mid-price restaurant. Good for general dining or a special occasion -- we got a free glass of fizz as it was my birthday. Tasty, fresh food and plenty of it. Good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Wait staff attentive and efficient, but not fussy. Clean and comfortable. No on-site car parking, but public car parks only three minutes' walk away. Highly recommended.

I booked through this app a week before we wanted to come, I phoned the day of the meal just to double check we still had a table booked, the lady had no idea what I was on about and luckily she got us s table if 10 Service was good, good selection of drinks Food was average in my opinion, we have a Gurkha closer to where I live and it’s far better food, would I go again.... probably not

Everyone in my party thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Tasty and good potion sizes. Excellent service. I will definitely go again to try something else from the menu.

From the service to the food, everything was impeccable. Staff were all friendly and the food was delicious plus seasoned to perfection. Would highly recommend.

We were a group of five friends and neither of us had been to Mount Ghurka Spice before. We had a very pleasant evening with excellent service and wonderful food. We would certainly be recommending it to others.

Great food and service and because of that unable to explain why the restaurant was so empty. Very reasonable priced, will be visiting again soon.

Warm and friendly staff to greet you as you arrive. The restaurant is looks lovely and has a calming atmosphere, which is only ten excelled by the taste and quality of their food. Definitely a new favourite restaurant

Really good food and friendly service. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a slightly different take on a traditional curry. The Nepalese element makes it a refreshing change.

Not our first visit. We are attracted by the menu choice, quality of the dishes, value and the friendly attentive service. Good location for public transport which means you can enjoy an extra Gurkha beer or two !!

Friendly and helpful service, food we chose was excellent. Fish and lamb main course, with a veg side dish with plain rice and peshwari nan. Tried the bottled Gurkha beer which was fine.

The food and service were excellent and the prices reasonable we were also given a free taster of onion bhajis & sweet chilli chicken Delicious! I would definitely go again.

The food was lovely and value for money and the staff couldn't have been more attentive. Even though we were a party of 8 we didn't have to wait very long for our food. Would definitely go here again.

This was the first visit to Gurkha spice and have to say we were very impressed. The staff were really helpful and very knowledgable about the food and made us dry welcome. There was an extensive menu and most important the quality of the food was very very good. We even got treated to a complimentary Gurkha rum great night out John

Super food, as always. First visit by my mum and her partner and they loved it and plan to return (they live in the West MIdlands though). A great pity that the restaurant doesn't get more business as it's a real quality experience eating there. I think it's just in the wrong town, not that I want them to move, for such a specialised cuisine. Only one other table was occupied; it made the place feel a bit lacking in atmosphere though the staff did their very best. My mum had the fish main made to the chef's grandmother's recipe and he (the chef, not the grandmother) came out to see if all was well. Some of my takeaways now come from there too, as I'd like the place to thrive.

Nice meal and service.The salmon tikka was delicious. Thoroughly recommend this venue for a family meal or a takeaway.it was very quiet when we went although it was a bit busier when we left

Visit on the 13th May. Had starters and mains, starters were onion bhaji which were light and very tasty and sheek kebab, which was the best I've ever had (and I travel to India regularly) Mains not so good, we had lamb bhutuwa & aloo masu, both dishes were a little short of flavour in terms of spices (may have been our fault for not requesting spicier) but good portion sizes Good choice of drinks, prompt, friendly service and a visit from the chef to ensure we enjoyed our meal Restaurant was spotlessly clean We will go back, next time we'll order something spicier

On arrival the service was excellent as soon as we stepped through the door. The food was delicious and the menu had plenty of options to choose from.

Had a wonderful meal , best meal out in ages . Highly recommend a meal here . Can't wait to go back . Loved the loyality card so after 8 visits you get a free meal

Food was lovely, service really good, not too busy so not roudy. Would definitely recommend. My husband always likes to try new dishes and this restaurant had lots to choose from.

The food was delicious and was served efficiently by friendly staff in a very clean restaurant in an unhurried way. It was a perfect evening.
