Been going to Monk since the day it opened and it never fails to impress. My favourite hobby is eating and this is by far the best Indian / Nepalese in the area. Monk and his nephew are also great hosts. A must is the monk magic starter.

Arrived for 7.30pm. Was welcomed by the staff, and shown to a table promptly. We were all served very well. The staff are attentive and pleasant. Meal was excellent.

Had a thoroughly enjoyable eating and social experience at the restaurant.

Fabulous food - as ever - however service was a little slower than usual and we had to wait quite a while for our mains to arrive and then one of the mains (Duck) was another 5 minute wait. It was busy and quite noisy so difficult to hear each other at times. Still a fabulous Nepalese restaurant.

Amazing food. Good service but very slow. We didn’t have starters and waited 40 minutes before we ate. Not a fan of the house wine. But we went mainly for the food and it was superb

We were prompted to visit Monks after receiving a voucher. The restaurant was very inviting and friendly. The food was good with generous in portions. We will certainly return.

Booked a table for 6 at 7:30 we sat down and we ordered our drinks.. took a while for the popadoms to come and by the time the server come over to order our mains we had been there nearly 45mins.. once the food was ordered we waited a further 45-1hour for our food which didnt arrive till 9:30pm by this time we had been at the restraunt 2hrs.. food was lovely but to much spice added to everything even the korma which shouldnt have spice was kicking with spice and had to drink water. The servers were lovely and when they come over to the table for drinks/order were very friendly and attentive.

The variety of flavours and dishes makes it a weekend favourite.

The restaurant was full and very busy, great atmosphere but a little noisy, food was fantastic, we had family members/new diners with us and they were bowled over with menu choice, quality and quantity of the food. We all had a very good time last night, definitely a winner!!

We went there for my husbands birthday and once again had a fantastic meal, they really looked after us as it was a special treat.

First time for us but it won’t be the last. Excellent food, really good atmosphere and service. Will recommend this restaurant to family and friends. Many thanks for a lovely meal.

we were recommended to MONK by friends however none of us had realised that there was a buffet on Sundays. Very good food and value for money. Sadly it was a quiet day and so the atmosphere wasn't at its peak. The staff were all excellent

Restaurant was busy . There was no one to greet us when we arrived. However atmosphere was good and enjoyed the flavours of the dishes we ordered. Service could have been better.

The staff are very friendly and the food is great. It’s just the noise levels make it difficult for conversation without shouting.
