Miyagi – Bold Street

Delicious food, great service and amazing cocktails! I will definitely be going back. We had a selection of small and large dishes and shared them all. Everything was really tasty, especially the kingfish sashimi, duck gyozas and steamed pork buns.

I'm not sure if Miyagi wants to be Japanese or American soul. It's pretty strange and the tastes in the food mix also. I'd go back like, I just wouldn't expect a Japanese experience.

Great food, environment, staff and perfect attentive service. The team at Miagi called ahead to check with us on our reservation, ensuring we had everything we needed and provided an excellent dining experience. Cool as venue too.

Great food and really good atmosphere. Only negative a little bit slow with drinks service but very friendly customer service made up for that. another plus point nice bar just upstairs for after the meal.

First time at Miyagi and have to say I thought it was exceptional. Can't fault anything and my ramen was just amazing (that stock). Can't wait to go back again.

Delicious food, really nice staff and very reasonable prices!! Bit of a wait, but there was another large party in there and when the food came it was hot and fresh, so we didn't mind!

Great service, food and drinks delicious. The non alcoholic cleansers were really refreshing. Food cooked fresh and with care, packed with lots of flavour. Presentation of the restaurant and dishes where delicate. The only issue was we ordered far too much. We expected all small bowls to be small, but there was a mixture of large and small. So size of portions were not obvious. I would definitely come here again, this was exactly my type of food and now i have got a better idea of what to order - So i am sure i would enjoy my experience even more the next time as the table will not be as jam packed with food! However for someone who doesn't like spicy food they may struggle as my mum was coughing a lot from the hidden kick in the mayonnaise (i think this should be advised on more). I personally loved that most food had a hidden Wasabi spice in it and how Mayagi have managed to create a modern twist on Japanese style dishes combining with the popular tastes that everyone loves!

Staff were friendly, all tables where clean and well presented. Not a big fan of Asian food but the rib eye steak was absolutely gorgeous All dishes where presented nicely on the plates can not fault it 😊

The great food was made so much better by the great, friendly service! Always leave here very full and very happy! You have to go.

Amazing! Lovely food, amazing cocktails, great service and fab tunes xx would recommend magic minted lamb, chicken broth and jappa cake cocktail comes with an actual Jaffa cake to dunk - fab! X x

What a fantastic restaurant, the choice of menu was exceptional with a fusion of Japanese and western food, setting Miyagi apart from your more traditional Japanese restaurants. The service was friendly, helpful and just great and the atmosphere incredible, background music was jazz/blues based, loud enough to provide a really edgy and funky atmosphere but also allowing guests to converse freely during the meal. The food was really great, all 3 courses were superb. From a person who eats at some of London's top restaurants, Miyagi it right up there with the best. Will definately return next time we're in Liverpool...great night out.

The decor and ambiance in the restaurant is brilliant. Service is excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to go back again!!!

Amazing food so many great things to choose from. loads of variety for veggies and meat eaters alike - it's hard to choose what to have. Drinks are equally good great wine list and fab cocktails. Atmosphere is fab and the staff are brilliant - helpful, friendly and excellent at the job. Couldn't ask for more!

The food is brilliant, the cocktails were divine but on this occasion we were seated upstairs which was a little too loud - we ended up going for our after dinner coffees elsewhere so we could hear each other properly. The stag party next to us didn't help and there was some inappropriate behaviour which the staff failed to challenge, although they were lovely when dealing with us.

Nice experience- food ok- would choose something not as difficult to eat next time, excellent service. Most unusual deserts would definitely choose chocolate spring rolls or pudding to share as looks amazing.

overall good, portion was large, just disappointed when we found out that there's no sushi or sashimi in a Japanese restaurant. Staff was friendly, good atmosphere.

Staff are really enthusiastic and friendly. Menu is not as good as it was which is a shame. The sushi has completely gone and some of the best small plates have disappeared. We tried some new dishes and I wasn't blown away. We had a random charge for pickle or something on the bill which no one ordered. Ordered a shot of plum wine which was not on the menu, was surprised at the cost of £4.50, when the bill arrived if you want to try it go to Blind Tiger they only charge £3 and the presentation is much better! Might leave it until the next time they refresh the menu to go again.

I LOVE this place! Our waiter took the time to explain the menu and offered some recommendations, which were absolutely amazing. Overall, the food and service were top notch, one of my favourite places to eat.

Cocktails where lovely wish I could have gone through the list ! Edame beans, sticky beef, sea bass blackens cod all lovely even my baby had it so it wasn't spicy 👍

Gorgeous food, lovely atmosphere and the staff were also amazing. Food portions very generous so sadly we couldnt fit in a dessert but i caught sight of another table toasting their marshmallows and it looked delicious!! Can't wait to go again!

Good choice, friendly and quick service. Food is a little bit spicy so make sure if you're a delicate flower like myself to get the drinks in!

Really nice Wish they hadn't taken the matcha grasshopper or the sushi off the menu! They were my favourites All of the food was really nice though and the staff were lovely

Nice food and great decor but the place was a bit too cold for my liking that I had to keep my coat on, service was a bit slow but staff were very helpful and friendly i enjoyed my afternoon here but i don't think i will be back. The Black Cod with Miso was superb and the green tea soba salad was tasty but would of been better warm. I originally wanted to order some sushi which i liked the sound of from their online menu but was told you needed to let them know 24 hours before hand which was not mentioned anywhere on the website! Loved the peppermint tea i ordered and it was served in a tetsubin which was a nice touch but my friend didn't rate the english breakfast tea. Overall i give 3.5/5

So many new places have opened in Liverpool over the past year that I put off visiting Miyagi on Bold Street for months - I regret that now and will definitely be visiting again in the future. Couldn't fault it. Would highly recommend the tofu Laksa with a side of pickled mushrooms and a Ghetto Geisha cocktail.

When we arrived at the restaurant we were taken in out table without any delay. Drinks were served quickly and there was no delay in food. Excellent service, delicious food and a wonderful overall experience.

Absolutely stunning food. Small portions were the only negative. Waitress was really helpful and answered any questions regarding the menu to our satisfaction. Overall we are pleased.

Really enjoyed our meal here - staff were helpful in explaining what was what. Everything we tried was new to us, and we loved it all! The ramen, yakatori, blackened cod and tempura, egg fried rice, and japanses 'slaw - all fantastic. Finished with green tea, doughnuts with black sesame custard and plum sake!

Excellent service from waitress and explained things on the menu really well, this was my second visit and will definately be goi g back for a 3rd :)

The food at Miyagi's is amazing! It's my 2nd time there and I could eat everything off the menu. The service and staff are super friendly. I live in Leicester so I will visit every time that I'm in Liverpool. I even took a takeaway, so I could enjoy more food when I got home :)

Great food with a lot of choices and wonderful service. Our waitress was very helpful and guide us through the menu! We really enjoyed the cocktails.

The atmosphere and interiors were lovely. We were recommended the tempura prawns, edamame and katsu curry which were all delicious! The house White was also very nice.

Food was delicious fantastic menu, lots of great vehicle options. We both went for the 'flesh and buns' one mushroom, one pork and sides of samurai fries and edamame - far too much but all yummy! Nice wine list and the cocktails looked great too. Staff were friendly and helpful and brilliant soundtrack while we ate!

Eat the Bao Bun fillet steak, you won't regret it! Staff are very helpful and the cocktails are lush, get the old fashioned for sure.

The food was lovely but the service was quote slow. We waited a while from arriving for a drinks order to be taken then had to ask for our food order to be taken. After waiting over 40 minutes for food we then had to ask where it was.

Excellent food, extensive well-priced menu. Good atmosphere. Would happily go back there again. There is also a pretty good cocktail menu. Only downer is that they serve lager in 2/3 of a pint glasses - one of the most annoying recent restaurant trends.

The lamb flesh and buns was fantastic, as was the vegetable tempura. All goes perfectly with a cold Asahi - have never been disappointed with Miyagi.

Had the most lovely meal at Miyagis. Food was amazing and the staff were lovely, welcoming and really attentive. Best of all we had our two year old with is and they were so lovely with him! Thank you staff of Miyagis for a lovely experience!! Ps. Not even over priced! Worth every penny for the service and gorgeous food!!!

High 5 - polish on polish off! Very surprised that my father in law enjoyed it too! Staff - brilliant - we will definitely go again!

Overall had a great experience here. Mainly due to the service we received to which our waiter was very attentive. Food and cocktails were great but overpriced. Went on New Year's Eve so left really happy but would probably only go on a special occassion

Interesting flavours in the food, nice varied menu, good service, and the desserts were lovely. I left filling full but not over-full and intrigued by some of the other dishes on the menu. Will be back.

Lovely staff and surrounding but the food was incredibly salty and would not return. I'd go back for the cocktails though :-) A shame as it promised so much more

Brilliant food, atmosphere and staff. Especially enjoyed the sashimi and the gyoza. Beautifully presented. Highly recommended and so close to the train station. Watch out for the sticky wings, they are hot hot hot.

Fantastic service, quote from a waiter "this table is beautiful" made us laugh and smile, food was spot on, topped off with decent cocktails. Love the artwork on the canvas' and brick walls, 3rd visit and will definatley be back again and again.
