Miyagi - Allerton Road

not as good an atmosphere as the bold street restaurant but still very nice food. I would still recommend visiting here. book early to avoid disappointment

The food is lovely and the decor and atmosphere. But a gluten free nightmare. Both times I have been despite lengthy conversations over the memu I have ended up with gluten in my meal.

Service was great, really good atmosphere and the food was amazing and really good value for money you do need to book in advance though cause so busy 😀

Very fresh and fragrant food, great variation of tapas style dishes in a relaxed setting. Great service, will definitely come back soon as many more things on menu we want to try.

Great food and service, lively atmosphere for a great night out. We had the small plates and got 5 between the two of us, just right.

The food and service was great. The position of table was rubbish. I had a view of the entrance to the bar and service cupboard/area. The waiting staff were constantly in and out of getting cutlery, napkins and bills. Not a very nice area to be seated. I would return as the food was lovely.

Food and service were great. Menu is only small but has enough of a selection between tapas, broths, large plates and sides. Menu is dominately Japanese and does not explain what the dishes are but the servers will advise

Lovely food. We had lots of small plates. Highly recommend the salads too. Not things you'd usually think of but fabulous. Not rushed at all. Brilliant service and fabulous cocktails!

Lovely atmosphere and staff really friendly. Really variable quality - I felt the vegetarian dishes were most disappointing, but meat/ drinks/ puddings were excellent.

Really impressed with the food, very tasty, very different. My only criticism would be the food could have been hotter when it arrived. Would go again and try the soup

With no alcohol license we could take our own which was great, but not at £5 corkage per bottle!! Good was really good, everything was really nice.

Good food. I know it is meant I be 'tapas style' but collecting plates from some of the group while others eating wasn't great, especially as leaning over those eating to do it.

The selection of food and service was excellent and the restaurant was a delightful we really enjoyed our experience and shall inform our friends and certainly be frequent visitors.

Great venue beautifully decorated. The mains where really tasty I ordered a bento box which have had a great selection of foods within it and my boyfriend what chilli beef which was really flavorful. The chocolate spring rolls where amazing. Staff where really friendly and helpful. Over all a great place to eat and drink!

Yes Miyagi was excellent even though there was no license. Staff very welcoming & knowledgeable about the menu. Would highly reccomend and will return. A bright friendly and desirable new venu on Allerton Road.

Amazing food! We had the pork buns and katsu chicken, would definitely recommend! Looking forward to going back for cocktails when they get their licence!!

Arrived for dinner to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday only to be told that there was no electrics in the kitchen and they couldn't serve any food. We were told that an electrician was due to arrive in 30 mins but there was no guarantee the problem would be fixed... We were starving, looking forward to a meal and so decided not to wait but to go elsewhere ...

Service and expertise of staff was excellent. The food was wonderful - the special fried rice was the best I've ever had. It would have been a 6 if there had been a drinks licence but I was very pleased that the restaurant phoned me to explain they were still awaiting a licence and therefore there was a corkage charge if we took our own wine, I did know this but was impressed that they took the trouble to speak to me some hours before we were due to go for our meal. Overall, a real asset to Allerton Road.

Great night, lovely food. We'll be back soon and bring more people next time for sure. Cocktails were lovely & the vegetarian ramen was perfect.

Lovely staff and great food - a bit different for a change. Only gripe is that 2 dishes were cold and had to go back and the noise level means you have to shout to hold a conversation! Would definitely return

Great place. Very friendly and helpful staff. Super atmosphere and fab food. Our table was a bit draughty so we asked if we could move and there was no problem. We loved it and will return.

Food was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were helpful and pleasant. I would definitely go back and recommend to friends.. The only thing I would mention was that it was a little cramped in terms of seating and tables and very warm but still amazing for everything else..
