Miyagi - Allerton Road

Lovely food and lovely ambiance but service was slow and food for main course brought to the table at different times with a long wait in between

We love Miyagi..but the menu recently changed which we didn't find as exciting as the old menu. Food and service still lovely all the same :)

Lovely food, great staff. Would have been 6 but the poached eggs were slightly cold. Can't fault our waitress though, she was a delight. Will definitely be back.

The style of the restaurant is great as was the service but didn't think much of the food. Definitely better Japanese options in Liverpool. W

Lovely food & helpful staff, would definitely recommend. I have a dairy allergy & this was not a problem at all. Can recommend the cocktails!!

The change to small plates format and slight changes to all of the dishes we usually get from miyagis (no jam with pig gyozas, different sauce on chilli beef tacos) meant it wasnt as nice as previous visits

Went with friends - both the atmosphere and food were great! Loved the cod & pork belly bao bun! Can't wait to go back! Yum!

Food was delicious and service really good. Had a great night. Would definitely recommend to people if you want somewhere with a chilled out atmosphere and fantastic food.

We love Myagi, great decor, tasty interesting food and fabulous drinks menu. The Plum old fashioned is an experience rather than a drink! We miss the Bento 🍱 boxes which are not on the new menu😢. Service is friendly and they could do with an other waiter or 2

Excellent. New menu with all the old favourites plus some additional new treats. We had recently gone to the town branch and felt Miyagi's had lost it's mojo but this Allerton Road branch is consistently good!!!!

Food is nice but the flavours are over powering and a bit too much. The restaurant is lovely and the staff are friendly but not very attentive.

Food and staff were excellent. We were seated at the front window was a bit uncomfortable eating were everyone was standing around us drinking and getting drinks at the bar. People were standing that near our table even the waitresses were finding it hard to get past. We did make a reservation not sure if it was overbooked and we got sat here but it was uncomfortable. Would go back for the food but not sat at the window in the bar area

First time at restaurant, got 5 dishes and some salt and pepper fries; food was excellent; we normally find something we don't like but we didn't leave anything; The salt and pepper fries were the best I've tasted for a side dish; service good, overall excellent, will be returning to try new dishes, thank you

Very helpful staff, made us feel very welcome, even though we were short on time. Food was delicious and good value. There are lots of nice eating places on Allerton road, but this one is a little gem!! I will be coming back. Thankyou.

Great place, a good range of Asian fusion (largely Japanese) tapas dishes. Look forward to trying the rest of the menu on another visit !

Gorgeous food, gorgeous cocktails, lovely staff! We got a few small plates to share, all plates were empty after 15 minutes! Small restaurant and always busy so book in advance.

Attentive staff and amazing food! Highly recommend the prawn tempura, deep fried chilli beef taco and salt and pepper fries. For dessert the chocolate spring rolls are fantastic. Great cocktails too.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Very busy though which meant quite a wait for our booked table to be ready and for our first drinks to arrive.

There was a lot of nice food to choose from and quick friend lot service provided by all staff. Disappointed there wasn't as much choice as the bold street chain

Fabulous food in a great atmosphere. The staff and service are brilliant, so friendly and efficient. I can't rate Miyagi Allerton highly enough. The prices are also very reasonable for the high quality of the food.

Good food. New menu. Nice atmosphere. Try the Ramen - good sized 'small plate'. Some of the new small plates are on the small side for the price.

Extremely disappointed after reading the good reviews. Crispy beef contains no beef only batter will not be going back. Not what we was expecting food was merely ok.

Love Miyagi, great food, The only thing that let it down was my food arrived almost cold, they did replace it , but my family had finished eating by the time it arrived. Not nice eating alone. Despite this I would recommend and return again.

Went with parents and 4 kids. Good service and lovely food. Papaya salad and tempura were delicious. Egg fried rice wasnt great but special rice is better.

Great atmosphere, fab food options and great service. This was our second visit and we spent the whole evening in there, no rush to leave our table and the best server ever, she was happy, attentive and new the menus.

Food is great, the tempura prawns are the best, duck gyoza are nice too would recommend both. Often visit other the town And allerton restaurants

Our waitress was charming & The food was lovely. Especially Mr M's special fried rice! I got the katsu curry this time but Will definitely visit again and try something out of my comfort zone. A bento box maybe :)

Gorgeous food, great service 😊 A bit more pricey than your average lunchtime meal but well worth it for something a bit special. Highly recommended

Food was excellent. Staff were brilliant. Only problem is the consistency of service two of our main meals came out and we waited a good while for the remaining meals.

Our first visit. Staff were helpful and friendly coming to our aid to explain the menu when needed. The restaurant was clean and well laid out. Tables were spotless. Food was perfect. I will return .

Excellent venue with a great atmosphere. Great choice of cocktails and fab choice of food - give the prawn tempura and Ramen a go - delish!!

This is a fabulous restaurant. The food,service and atmosphere are all fantastic and made even better by being local. The food is not only delicious but also reasonably priced. Well worth a try but wise to book a table in advance.

Great service and amazing food! Couldn't have had a better evening. Everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive asking if we wanted more drinks and if our food was up to scratch. Couldn't recommend it more!

Miyagi was chosen as the place to celebrate my son's birthday. As soon as we entered the restaurant we knew we'd made a good choice. There was a relaxed ambiance and the Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was wonderful. There were five in our party and we each ordered two different dishes so we could sample as much of the menu as possible. There was no nasty shock when the bill arrived either. This was our first visit to Miyagi but it certainly won't be our last.

Great, friendly service with very good food. Ate early one Thursday but place was reasonably busy. Staff helpful and attentive. Reasonable value and good quantities.

Great food and atmosphere highly recommended located on Allerton road. Had the tiger prawns, sticky chicken wings and chicken Katsu. All of the food was delicious.

Another amazing meal, this time in Allerton Road. Tried the tempura prawns for first time, lovely with a horseraddish type mayo. Katsu curry was as lovely as always
