Fantastic ambience,friendly and considerate staff, very tasty food and have I mentioned the beautiful cat which greeted me on arrival?:) We will be coming back! Hidden gem in Clapham.

Amazing night, gorgeous location, the staff we’re so polite and brilliant at serving our table! We also had a superb meal and couldn’t have asked for a better evening!

We booked a table in the garden as it was lovely weather however when we arrived we were advised that the garden was only opening in a week or so. Please update your website accordingly!

Everyone was very friendly, which was really important, as my friend was late. Delicious food. Wonderful atmosphere with candles and feel-good music. Generous portions too!

Honestly, this place is just so lovely. After 5 years in London, I think I've found my regular restaurant, the atmosphere is great, it's cosy and it's just really really good. Had the scallops and black pudding for starters and it was amazing, highly recommend it. Will definitely return ... numerous times!!

Very rustic interior, very cosy yet classy. looking forward to the summer when their garden is open. Staff are very lovely and accommodating. I would have given it full marks however their coffee machine was broken and they only had instant as an option.

One of my favourite restaurants. The waitersgave us the midweek menu by mistake (we were there on a Saturday), which had a set price on it, but the owner was good enough to honour that price, even though it should have been more. Another lovely meal there in great surroundings, with the sort of personal customer service that makes such a difference.

Lovely food and cute tented area out the back. A little cold on the evening we were there, but it was a particularly cold night so they did well with the outdoor heater!

Very tasty food, excellent service - even let me choose the music playing in our section. Will go again my guest also impressed. Casual but relaxing atmosphere.

Good value set menu from Tuesday to Thursday. House wine was really nice. Only downside was being charged for the bread, without being made aware. It appeared as though it was complimentary.

Food was ok, but the service was so-so - our waiter was a bit too "relaxed" and preoccupied with chit-chatting with some ladies at the next table.

Gnocchi returned because it was too salty but fresh plate tasted the same. Similar experience with sea bass. We asked waiter to convey this to the chef, for future thought. Felt very uncomfortable later when chef came past and glared at us for a good while.

Restaurant has a Lovely setting and delicious food. It was a Great date night. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back here soon.

. The garden is so beautiful, everything look nice, music is perfect. The food is really good and I highly recommend the Sunday Roast. The lady who owns the place is super friendly. I would go again and definitily I would recommend to everybody. Great place to celebrate a special day with friends or family.

First visit based on a recommendation from a work colleague. Beautiful surroundings with fairy lights and very comfortable seating , lovely food a delightful evening.

The food and ambience are fantastic. Great eclectic but not over the top decor. Unfortunately, we were downwind of smokers and had to move inside from the beautiful secluded feeling garden, but even in the extended part it feels like you are in a covered outdoor space. The wine list and menu are simple but fantastic in value and taste! Can't fault the service which is friendly and unobtrusive. All in all, a new place that we can't believe we haven't come across and will definitely visit again. Highly recommended.

Beautiful food (although portion sizes seemed to vary between customers!) and lovely, friendly service. Excellent wine list. I'd recommend Metro Garden to anyone and everyone.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely meal at Metro last night. The supper deal is well worth it. Great food and ambiance. We look forward to heading back soon.

Love the courtyard garden. Roast was definitely "The Best in Clapham". The Host and staff very all really fun and friendly. Will be going back for sure!

Amazing food, love the new menu1 The service was amazing as always and the drinks were relish, was recommended a great red wine! Atmosphere and surroundings were gorgeous, we were in the tented area which was warm and pretty.

Ultimately the restaurants marquee and huge garden made the experience what is was. The menu was very limited for a Mother's Day booking and I would have booked elsewhere if I had known for a more exiting menu. Staff were very friendly

Wonderful meal at Metro Garden, beautiful rustic setting with lovely fairy lights which made the atmosphere just perfect. The food was excellent too. We were a small hen party and quite loud but the staff left us to it topping up the prosecco when required...hopefully the others diners weren't too disturbed by us! I'd recommend this restaurant especially in the warmer weather to enjoy the garden at the back.

Had a lovely dinner with a friend under the sunset in the secret garden of Clapham. I love the charm and setting so please never make it modern as this makes it a perfect setting for dinner with a friend or celebrating a special occasion. Food lovely, service very attentive and th house wine is very good. Until next time, I plan my escape to the Secret garden with friends.

We were very disappointed as the meal was below average. The steak was plonked on top of oven chips and hadn't even been rested so all the chips soggy. There were paper table cloths. The music was terrible too.The main disappointment was we went here years ago and it was wonderful. Must be a change of management which is a real shame.

as always a wonderful experience, amazing ambience, delicious food and service that is second to none! Metro delivers time after time and the garden in the sunshine is an oasis of calm!

The Sunday roasts were excellent, veggies cooked to perfection, meat very tender and my husband's beef was as pink as he likes it. The freshly cooked chocolate brownie pudding with vanilla ice-cream was divine. Highly professional and friendly staff who made is feel very welcome and relaxed.

The rough appearance of the place wasn't what a pair of old folks expected because it didn't reflect the photos in the website; so rather disappointing on first entry and sit down and didn't develop a lively atmosphere this Tuesday evening. However our younger guests observed that it was 'cool'. Staff were nice. Food good and well presented.

Metro is a long-standing favourite and a safe bet for a lovely atmosphere, terrific service with a smile and great quality food. they are also very flexible and accommodating where 'tweaks' are requested due to food intolerances. No exception tonight, although I did report back that my fillet of sea bass was a little on the meagre side I comparison to their usual quality. Otherwise, all good in the Metro hood.....

Great food, we had a Sunday roast with all the trimmings and it was very good however, the service a bit slow and it was difficult to get waiters attention in the garden where we were sitting

Romantic, tasty and a bit different. The outdoor setting is great for the summer. We were tucked away in the conservatory and it felt very private.

Huge portion size. Service was excellent. Very romantic. Great value for money. I would highly reccomrnd this to anyone looking for a romantic affordable Sunday roast.

If you want a quiet and relaxing time, book your table at the back in the garden room. We made the mistake of eating in the wine bar, which although lovely, became very noisy and the music was turned up much too loud. The food was good though.

Really nice restaurant, great atmosphere, staff very friendly and pleasant. Only one slight issue, ordered the baked camembert cheese to be told they didn't have which would have been nice to be told upfront. Otherwise a good evening and will definitely go back!

Amazing restaurant. I've been going there for about 16 years and never fails to amaze. Great food, great service as always and I love that they keep their fairy lights all year round. Love it!

Restaurant is really cute and perfect for a quite dinner. Food is lovely, but if you are vegan I would recommend to get in touch with restaurant directly and do not rely on booking special requests as we came the waiter had no idea that one of us were vegan, therefore the chef did mix the food and it was a good experience.

Great food and a really nice atmosphere, attentive staff and great wine choice. Portions are quite generous, not the biggest fun of the set menu but that a la carte menu is great.

Lovely restaurant with a cosy atmosphere and tasty food. It was a good choice for a Valentine's diner with my partner. I definitely recommend it.

A good cosy environment to have a meal. The food was wonderful, just some meals were selected for certain days and also the unlimited fresh bread was not offered.
