Melange - Barnet

Lovely food ,good choices, delightful staff.Could we have cushions on the chairs? Otherwise good value for good food .Would certainly go there again, it is local for us and one of the best to eat locally.

Another visit to Melange and the food is consistently good. The service is adequate, but can sometimes be a little slow, especially with drinks! That said, I would highly recommend, especially if you're not in a hurry. The cocktails are extremely good too. I love the sea bass with almonds, delicious! The ambience is always very pleasant, and I always look forward to going back.

We were very impressed, good food, very good service, nice ambience. and not too expensive. We will certainly return. :) I imagine pre-booking a table will soon become a necessity.

We chose from the 2 or 3 course menu and the food was delicious. The waitress described the daily specials to us and the service was prompt and courteous. A saxophonist was playing on the evening we attended. Highly recommended. We will definitely be coming here again!

we love Melange the food is great, especially the calamari and the steak the staff are charming too ! we need more restaurants like this in Barnet

Had the set menu tonight. Was great value. Great buzzy atmosphere, live sax player and a full restaurant and only a weds night. Good service and excellent steaks. We'll be back again I'm sure

Lovely admosphere and surrounding with Italian and French beautiful food, the food really tasted home made. The waiters were very attentive and not rushing us to eat our food for the next customers to sit down.

Lovely food, they catered well and were really friendly to our 3 year old too. Our first time here but this might become a local favourite.

Service was great. Food was tasty, unfortunately I seem to have come across a very chewy lamb steak which can happen. The manager's response to my request to change the dish was very positive. I'd go visit Melange again. Thanks guys.

Highly Recommended. Melange is a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Service is professional and friendly. Special daily menu on Sunday 19th June was fresh and innovative.

This is my 3rd visit, their service food and ambience is outstanding. The lobster is a definite must. Looking forward to my next visit :)

Fantastic brunch at Melange Barnet. Always quick service and very tasty. The only criticism I have is that the cups for the hot drinks have the tiniest handles ever!!

The food and staff are great at this restaurant however on a personal level we were placed on a table in the main walkway which isn't great if you get bumped by everyone going back and forth. Food very tasty and served quickly though so very happy on that front.

Booked this restaurant for Father's Day and not at all disappointed. The food and wine both excellent coupled with very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

A very pleasant atmosphere, lively and bustling, with good service even though it was a busy Friday evening. The food was up to its usual high standard. Melange has become my favourite restaurant in Barnet.

Always a good meal with charming staff and great atmosphere Sirloin steak and salad with a side of glazed carrots Perfect in every way !

Very average and very noisy ! Starter salad was very bland . My husband said the creme Carmel was excellent . Fresh mint tea only had 2 leaves in the pot !

Goat's cheese salad with walnuts exceptional. Mentioned we would have liked more asparagus in the risotto. Tiramisu very good. Helpful staff & a pleasant atmosphere.

We went to melange for Father's Day this morning . Lovely breakfast as usual ; service was great , they could learn to poach eggs without vinegar though !

Terrific meal - food delicious, staff attentive, polite, friendly. 5 rather than 6 because although the dessert menu had lots on it, there was nothing we fancied! But we will definitely be back, probably with friends.

The greeting was very warm, the service was excellent and the food was second to none. This was by far the best dining experience we have had. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The food was fantastic, they serve very generous portions, particularly the starters where 1 portion is easily shared between two, lovely staff and a nice atmosphere.

The food was a good standard, staff were helpful and knowledgeable but the ambient noise was high and we had to raise our voices to hear each other on a table of 4.

Warm and welcoming atmosphere! Good was excellent as was the wine I chose from the wine shop they have on site. Will definitely be going back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. As always the staff are very attentive without being false or over fussy. The food is wonderful although this time the steak wasn't 100% top notch. We enjoyed our evening and would recommend anyone to go to Melange.

Delicious freshly prepared food in a lovely setting. Attentive service and we also enjoyed the guitar soloist. I recommend this as a fab polished local restaurant visit

Staff and service is always good. Unfortunately there was a very large party in this Friday night who were quite loud and did drown out my conversation with my friend but what can you do. Food was good and came quickly despite the restaurant being very busy. Would be nice to see a few new dishes on the menu but overall I like Melange and its a breath of fresh air in not so exciting Barnet.

Just popped in for a quick supper and have to say very impressed. Attentive staff, delicious food and well priced. We will definitely return soon.

Really lovely home style cooking and generous portions. The team are friendly and do not rush you and the place was full in a Wednesday evening! A testament to it's popularity.

This is my second visit and on both occasions they have been excellent. The dinner was lovely especially the lobster dish. The breakfast has lots of healthy options and was very tasty. The staff are attentive and very accomodating. Overall great place.

This is a very nice local restaurant with a good choice of dishes. On the recommendation of one of our party of 6 we all had steaks and we were all happy with our meals. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Melange is consistent. Consistent in food quality. Consistent in cheerful attentive service. Consistent in providing a buzzy conversational environment in which to enjoy our meal. We are so glad to have Melange in Barnet High Street. Long may they continue.

Nice food and well priced. I would definitely go back. We had the beef and tuna steak, the service was quick and friendly. We were a little bit late and they were very accommodating.

Fantastic food and incredibly helpful staff. We've been a few times but keep going back as the whole experience is consistently great. They want everything to be to your satisfaction and do all they can to make it a memorable meal. I fully recommend this place.
