Melange - Barnet

Had a very nice evening. The food was excellent. Staff attentive but not overpowering. Chose house wine which was very good. Will definitely go again.

Great place. The food quality and price is good. My only reservation would be its not cosy enough to make you want to dress up a bit. Other than that I cannot fault.

As ever a really good meal , service was great . We have been several times its always good. Would highly recommend it as a local restaurant

Good service. Excellent food . I couldn't get a reservation on line at 6pm so had to go for 5.30pm . The restaurant was not busy. Many tables were empty and we were shown to a table at the back of the restaurant . I would like to go again but to have a table st the front .

Excellent food lovely staff excellent service. We have been there several times and have always had a very nice meal, the steak excellent and so was the mixed hourdeves which was large enough to share

Lovely food and great service. Not a huge menu choice but everything on it is delicious. Added service on without asking for a group of 5 people which I thought was a bit cheeky!

Food as always was very good and the staff are always delightful. On the down side we were given a very small round table which made life quite difficult, especially when you've ordered lobster and there are shells and finger bowls involved. We didn't even order a bottle wine and yet cutlery kept falling on the floor due to the lack of space on the table. Finally, it took an age for someone to come and take our dessert order. The restaurant was busy and perhaps they were understaffed.

Excellent service, the waiters and waitresses were very attentive and friendly. Lovely ambiance, and the food was delicious – I had the salmon from the set menu, and my boyfriend had the duck from the a la carte menu. The set menu was really great value. We'll definitely be going back!

Excellent in all respects IE ambience, service and food. Would certainly recommend and will hope to go again soon. Booking essential especially on Fridays and Saurday

Consistently good food at reasonable prices. The prawns for starters are particularly recommended - very tasty. Wine is a touch pricey. Service is fine but not outstanding.

Second visit and probably my last. Service was very slow, ordered bread to go with my starter of mussels and had to ask three times for it, the final time having to get up and go to the bar to ask for it. The bread finally arrived after I had nearly finished my starter. To their credit they did deduct the bread from the bill. Apart from that I was not particularly impressed with my chicken main, it didn't have an flavour, overall the meal was very disappointing.

Lovely, attentive, knowledgable staff, tasty food and a great atmosphere. Make sure you book as it fills up quickly. Go for the Calamari it's delicious.

Very good food and ambience with lovely cocktails, it is a nice local restaurant. It does however get very noisy on weekends, particularly with large groups.

Friendly staff. All our starters were fresh and tasty. I was a little disappointed with my main of a fish cake which was served on well cooked spinach. i.e. - not over-cooked.

A lovely relaxed environment with courteous staff and excellent food. The staff are present and attentive and yet you hardly know that they're there. It's always nice to visit as the sun is going down, because that's when Melange lower the lights, and the candles are lit.

Delicious food, as always. We have eaten at this restaurant about eight times, and have always enjoyed excellent food and service. Please dont tell anyone about this restaurant!

Food, ambiance and staff all made our visit very relaxing and enjoyable. So good we are going back on Sunday. Well done all of you. We had to wait a fair tome for our desert (we didn't mind) as one of them was freshly made. But to apologise we were given a glass of wine and espressos on the house. Why wouldn't we return after this care.

The food is well cooked and presented, but not spectacular. The service is well meaning, but amateur; squirting of cleaning fluid in our proximity, deafing noise from an unattended coffee grinder and a constant background of what sounded like a cutlery audit let them down.

Excellent food and very efficient service with lovely staff. We were a party of 12 celebrating my husband's 70th birthday and everyone enjoyed their meals.

Good service, but not crowded tonight. Food was excellent and the service proportional and helpful. The amount of food per person was certainly adequate, not overwhelming, as some restaurants can be. Very pleasant atmoshere.

Food is excellent and service was also very good. Only criticism is that it is a little noisy - not enough furnishings to absorb sound.

A perfect evening. Food, service and atmosphere were all fantastic. Very easy to see why it was packed out on a Monday night! Highly recommended.

Had a lovely lunch with friends. Nice relaxed atmosphere. The waitress was very friendly. She seemed to be enjoying her job and appreciated our attempts at Italian pronunciation.

As always excellant food at Melange. We went on a Thursday which is steak night and very good value. I would highly recommend a visit.

I am a regular here and always enjoy it Melange. The food, cocktails, wine and staff are good. All in all - always an enjoyable experience.

The service and the quality of food were excellent and the prices are reasonable. The waitress ( a young Italian lady from Padua) could not have been more helpful and efficient. Would definitely recommend.

Fab meal and excellent service. The rib-eye steak was delicious and the fish goujons were as good as any I have had. We will definitely be back soon.

This is one of the best restaurants to go to if you fancy a steak! The waiting staff are very responsive and friendly. Well worth a visit.

Breakfast ....delicious...the service was calm and professional... was a lovely experience.. from 10am on Saturday and Sunday.. try their full English with dough bread...yummy..give it a try...

melange is one of the best restaurants in Barnet, the atmosphere is always good. The food was fabulous as usual - the steak is always a winner!

Went on a Monday evening and my friend and I had the set menu. We both had calamari to start, followed by risotto for my friend and I had the goats cheese stuffed chicken breast. Food was all very good and nicely presented. The set menu offered great value.Restaurant has a nice ambience and staff were friendly and helpful. I will return soon and would definitely recommend it to others.

very friendly, very fast, very professional. we booked the table online, and they gave us the table exactly same we booked. the waiters looks like friends, always smile.

The service charge was already included and cost quite a lot. But the food was good and so was everything else. I will definately come there again.☺
