Melange - Crouch End

Love Melange as a great place to meet up and enjoy it’s relaxed atmosphere and very good food any time, any day. Never fails to live up to expectations with a friendly, welcoming staff.

First visit but very impressed. Excellent food, service and value for money.

Great ambience, food and service. Busy atmosphere but enough space between tables so didn’t feel intrusive. The starter was especially delicious. Shame we didn’t have enough time for desert! All in all I would highly recommend Melange

Excellent food and service. All 4 of us were happy with our choices. The only criticism of the meal was the delicious mozzarella salad was too small. However the rosemary fries we shared made up for it.

We went to the restaurant on the 01/12/18 Crouch End branch. Alway a warm at welcoming place. Once again brilliant food and lovely staff. Worth the money

Great value set menu. Good service even with a large party in having a Christmas meal. Vegetarian risotto (special on set menu) was very tasty.

We had a great time at the Melange. The setting is really nice and the stuff very friendly. The food was excellent and at a great value for money. I totally recommend it and will definitely go back soon. Make sure you book in advance on weekends as it gets full at dinner time.

Simple yet delicious menu. Good quality atmosphere, decor and food, presented well. Could probably do with a couple more staff when busy. We will definitely be back though.

A good local restaurant serving above average food at a very fair price. The service tends to be attentive too. The Lunch menu is excellent.

Very fresh and tasty risotto with asparagus and peas. Duck with cherry dish recommended for people with a sweet tooth. Chocolate and almond fondant was divine! Enjoyed the nice chilled atmosphere, rustic comfortable decor and friendly staff. Would recommend.

We found friendly service, a varied menu, very well prepared and delicious food. There was a buzz, but not too loud, and great ambiance, all at a reasonable price

The starters were good, but nothing special. Others had the antipasti boards that looked excellent. The mains were fantastic, however. The fish stew is clearly a speciality as everyone seemed to be ordering it! Will be back!

Unfortunately it was so noisy we had to leave before ordering. Not the fault of the restaurant, except that so many places now are designed without any thought of the acoustics.

Friendly staff, good range of dishes on the menu and a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately one of our party (of four ) had to wait for his starter, main course and pudding, but he is trying not to take it personally

this restaurant never fails to please. A great late brunch where all the flavours sung. We were both loving the scrambled eggs and eggs benedict. As ever the service was at just the right level.

Melange has been consistently good whether for a quick casual meal or a celebration. Service has always been great with the staff being helpful but not obsequious.

We had a wonderful evening in Melange, good food, great service and good company. What more does one need. We will definitely come back to Melange in Crouch End and might even try their Belsize restaurant.

Delicious, good value food and friendly service. It was nybhusband’s birthday and they brought him a surprise extravfesertvwith a candle - very nice. They forgot to bring 2 items we ordered, but it didn’t matter because we had plenty of food anyway.

Good food, good value. Appreciated all the special touches in presentation. My tuna carpaccio was delicious! I would definitely recommend as a great neighbourhood restaurant.

Quality and value of food, and the attention of the waiting staff are all first rate. The scope of both the a la carte and especially the fixed price menus was very impressive.

Service excellent, set menu exceeded expectations. A delight and definitely one of the most enjoyable places in Crouch End to go for a little treat.

Went on a Thursday and was able to take advantage of the set menu. Great food and great value. Seafood risotto was delicious! Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Food is good, service is friendly but they seem to forget about you once the food is on the table. Would be nice to followup and also keep an eye out for people wanting the bill.

Lovely neighbourhood restaurant. The food was very good - the fig tart got particularly good reviews and the steaks excellent. Service was fine, if a little inconsistent.

Party of 4. Starters, Mains and Desserts all excellent. Good choice of wines, beers and Breton cider! We'll be going again next time we go to the Crouch End Picture House!

Always a great evening at Melange. The food is beautiful, the wine is gorgeous, the ambience is great, the staff are lovely, friendly, helpful yet unobtrusive.

The service was very good, the choice of mains on the menu was excellent, I had the tuna which was cooked to perfection. All the staff were very friendly.

Friendly, polite and attentive staff. Classy menu, made with quality ingredients, cooked well and presented artistically. Nice bubbly atmosphere, but not too loud. Good wines and stylish yet classic decor. Will definitely visit again.

Disappointing and bland food. The steak was tough and under-seasoned. The garlic chips were also average and tasteless. Desserts are microwaved; the waitress admitted as much. Would not return.

Love this restaurant always. Great service and great menu. The only downside this time was they were very busy (sunny day!) and so they had run out of most of their menu. But what we did have was still lovely!

Food OK but a bit overpriced for what it was; fairly limited menu; reasonably enjoyable evening but nothing special. Service attentive and staff friendly. Wouldn't go back in a hurry.

Great value set menu. All dishes were really tasted and there were plenty of options. I’m not sure there were as good specials on the set menu. the last time I ate here. Service very good.

As far as I remember with Melange, you always go well. I would just like the would change the Charlie Chaplin video they play with the projector. I guess that is the same since 3 years now (maybe more).
