Melange - Crouch End

We held a great family celebration here and the staff were brilliant!

We thought the food was very bland and very expensive for the portion size .Overall very disappointing. Although the staff were very nice .

It was a perfect lunch, the service was great, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was flowing. It was exactly like pre-lockdown. I am confused and not sure if the social distance was being observed and if the tables were too close?

Fab lunch staff as always perfect so glad to be back to are favourite restaurant first time at a restaurant since lockdown felt at easy as soon Will as we arrived

It was just perfect. We had a lovely table at the window with two incredibly comfortable chairs. The waitress was very attentive and brought our drinks over very quickly. The vegetarian breakfast was quite possibly the best breakfast I’ve ever eaten. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back immediately! 10 out of 10 on my opinion.

Best thing about this restaurant was the starters. The rice balls, filled with camembert and mushroom were delightful, calamari was pretty good too. Had to wait too long for main course with no explanation. There were only 3 tables in use at our time of dining and 1 of the other tables had more or less finished, so not sure why would take so long to serve next course. Main courses - meats - grilled chicken, were pretty dry so spoilt the dish a bit. We did not have desert. Why bother in that climate? The SERVICE was mediocre - close to unfriendly I would say. The waitresses had blank looks in their eyes (if this is the new COVID-19 stare- I would not return), no smiles, lack-lustre. At one point one shouted, 'have you finished' to clear the plates!! LOL. Given we had come out in this Covid-19 environment and favoured their establishment, they should have put in better effort. Then having the cheek to charge 12.5% service automatically on the bill?? Shocking for such poor service- we have had better service in a fast food joint!

Lovely food and great service. Covid précautions have been taken like hand sanitiser and spacing out of tables, but the atmosphere is as good as ever!

Friendly yet professional staff, Relaxed and comfortable environment, varied menu with delicious food. Everything you want in a restaurant....great place!

Very nice birthday dinner. Good food as usual, not a lot of people due to COVID-19. I know it is not a requirement in the UK but waitresses should have face cover for their own safety as well as our's. However we will come back soon as Melange is a very good place and never disappointed us.

Very pleasant French-Italian restaurant in the heart of Crouch End. I had the antipasto misto to start: a generous serving of different cuts of charcuterie, cream cheese and garnishes with plenty of bread. I then went for the Mediterranean fish stew, which was beautifully done in a tomato and leak sauce with baby potatoes and filled with fish, calamari, mussels and prawns. Dessert was a very pleasant lemon tart with ice cream, one of their specials on the night. The service is pleasant and not overbearing; and the arm chairs at some of the tables are a nice touch.

Food was delicious and the staff attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

As usual we were not disappointed. We have visited Melange since it opened several times. Only disappointment is that they have taken Crème Caramel off the menu. Shame it was the best ever!!

Lovely staff and very nice atmosphere. Food is usually very good, we were here for a family celebration and everyone enjoyed it. My fish was a bit overpowered by lemon but everyone else loved their dishes.

Lovely restaurant to take young family for early tea but would recommend that kids menus should have desserts rather than having to choose from adult menu. Wine prices on the high end. Quite a bit of mark up. nice staff.
