An old favourite of mine. Lovely food and the staff remember you and re very attentive. Great atmosphere
The food was overcooked and warm and the rice was very salty and no real texture to it. Rice is supposed to be fluffy and light and it was hard and heavy.
Best Chinese meal in a long time. Will be back
Bland standard food, the take away is far superior. Service was shocking and the the ‘stir fried vegetables’ for an extra £6 (as no meat dishes come with vegetables) are slimy and cold. Awful
Excellent service, excellent food, will definitely go again and recommend to friends
Excellent food, varied menu. Food is always consistent. Will come back
Good family atmosphere and friendly feeling. Food OK - the duck pancakes are a highlight.
always accommodating. great food, excellent service. perfect spot for a couples night out - even on a Saturday night!
Delicious food, busy as always and had a lovely evening
Friendly and obliging staff. Good food. A bit noisy as was a boisterous Saturday with 3 birthday parties on the go!
Fantastic food & a great service love coming to Maxims
Amazing food as ever. Service top notch. We all loved it
Very good food and service. Great ambience in a classy setting. Busy atmosphere even for a mid week evening. Definitely recommend especially the Peking Duck.
The best food, the best service! Thanks Danny and team.
Delightful meal with exceptional service. I would certainly recommend the sea bass. It is no wonder why Maxims have been around so long. Thank you
Fantastic food, great atmosphere, great value - what more could you want? Feels like a proper local restaurant - a real gem of a restaurant.
Food was average and we were basically rushed out, I had 3 staff (including the manager) ask about our mains in the space of a minute. It was my mums birthday, and they really ensured we regretted our decision to book here. Won’t be returning.
We went for a dinner. Not impressed of the place. Overpriced, poor quality food. Bad service. The atmosphere is nice. Definitely not going again. Not worth it.
The food is not authentic and very greasy. I didn't enjoy my experience and would not recommend this place if you know good Chinese food.
Excellent service, exceptional food and a really great atmosphere. It was a busy night but the tables were far enough apart that it didn't feel noisy. Far and away the best Chinese food I've eaten.
Our experience was of observant, quietly attentive and friendly staff offering well presented food of excellent quality. We chose a set menu and would highly recommend this restaurant.
no complaints. food and service excellent. there was no waiting between courses. Service was with a smile. for the quality of food the prices were very fair
This is one of the Best Chinese Restaurants in London and in my many achieved years have eaten in many let around the world well done
We were so glad we booked as the restaurant was packed! Always a lovely atmosphere. Service was good inspite of being busy. Food, very tasty and big portions. We had a set menu and couldn’t eat it all, so they gave us a doggy bag to take home. Prices are reasonable too. In short a really enjoyable evening. Would ( and have) recommended to others.
We were a party of 6. Booked through Quandoo. Helpful reminder a couple of days before. Superb food as always. The sizzling beef is very good. Service excellent as well.
Excellent food and excellent service. The crispy duck and pancakes was the best I have tasted. Nice atmosphere and very clean. I highly recommend this restaurant.
As always, we had a great time at Maxim, our favourite Chinese restaurant in West London. It's always busy because of its popularity with a real buzz about the place but the tables are well spaced so there are never any problems with conversation. The food was of the usual high standard: the classic fragrant crispy duck shared as a starter is always a treat, and our mains included pork slices with aubergine, shredded beef, and chicken with cashew nuts ~ all tip-top. Service was impeccable: both efficient and friendly.
Second time we have visited, this time with a group of friends. Busy place, delicious food, good ambiance. Attentive staff.lived up to our expectations.overall good experience
It was ok, good and busy, nice atmosphere. Food want great - last time I went was 10 years ago - and I’ll probably leave it another 10.
Been going to this place for 15 years and never have I been disappointed. Staff are friendly and the food is just on point. Everything is freshly made. Highly recommended.
We have been customers for many years and always enjoy the good food. The service is always attentive without pressure and there is a convivial atmosphere.
I really enjoyed everything about the place. From the decor, to staff, and of course the food, everything was excellent. I had the duck, along with some dumplings and want to go back this week, that is how good everything was.
Had been a few times over the past 2 years. Always busy and last night was no exception. Loads of customers waiting. It is easy to see why - efficient, prompt and courteous service. The food..................sensational. This place is maybe, a little known gem. If in this area and even if you're not, make your way for an unbelieveable experience. I am fortunate it is only 1 mile away. A truly dining experience.
It's always a delight to go to Maxim's. We have tried many Chinese restaurants and we keep on going back to Maxim's and then wondering why we go anywhere else. The sizzling lamb I had was cooked to perfection with wonderful flavour. Lovely evening.
Went for 70th birthday dinner. First waiter was sullen and shrugged his shoulders when asked a question. Other waiters were lovely. Food very good. Waited quite a long time for my credit card to be taken. Popular restaurant. Good decor.
Busy Friday so service slower than usual. Food far too salty. Chicken starter rubbery. Pork and cabbage main mostly noodles. Had to ask for our change. Unspecified service charge added but per centage scratched out by hand. Not impressed - seem more interested in money than service. Bit disappointing as someone who has been a regular customer for decades.
Been here a few times now. Each time the service is as good as the last. Food excellent as always. Can't wait for my next visit.
First time @Maxims Great atmosphere very nice helpful staff. Delicious starter and main crispy duck was splendid . Prepared well. Highly recommend. And defiantly return again soon .
My family were staying in this area as part of my husband's 60th birthday celebrations. My husband and I used to frequent this restaurant when we lived in the Ealing area which was some 28 years ago at least! We were not disappointed - the food was as good as ever. Service was good and staff friendly and efficient. All made for a great celebratory evening.
Great food tasty and hot. Staff were a bit slow yesterday which is not normal. The restaurant was a bit too cold for me and could be warmer and had it been I would have stayed longer.
Food is great and reasonably priced. Service is not bad exactly but there were a couple of mistakes with the order - if the service was as good as the food this place would be faultless.
The meal was excellent and enjoyed by all. We had returned to Maximes for a 50th Birthday Patty after an absence of 20 years and the food was as good as we remember
Birthday celebrations with family- great food & atmosphere, & great service as well. This is always a very popular restaurant, and is always great quality
Delicious food, quick service and well priced. Very busy, would recommend booking before turning up, especially at the weekend. Only downside was that there was one choice of beer on the menu, lots of other drinks though!
As usual, the service was excellent and the food amazing. Favourite restaurant by a mile! Been going to this place for nearly 40 years and it just gets better.
Excellent. ..although cokes were rather flat!...food excellent although a bit oily ..prevented a top score of 6...I used to eat here yeas ago..was actually better then...seems to have changed a bit..
This is a really first class restaurant. On an extremely hot night it was an oasis of cool, civilised, great service and fine food. We lingered over our excellent meal and botttle of wine for two happy hours. Maxim is an Ealing institution and a top class one.
Nice and spacious restaurant. Tasty and fresh food. Good service. Able to order dishes that are not on the menu. Would def go back again.
I had a lovely with my friends for my birthday and the food was lovely and the service too. I booked it before and was seated at the back of the restaurant with the nice moving table.
The food was excellent but the service was poor the food was served to the table but no plates were there which we had to ask for and the coffee was cold
