Masala Bazaar

Such beautiful food and fantastic service, nothing is any trouble. The food came quickly and the portion sizes were perfect. I would definitely recommend a visit!

Another brilliant night at a Masala Bazaar in Carlisle, the food was amazing as usual and the service was top notch, we will be back again very soon!

Unfortunately most of the 4 meals were lukewarm and one of my friends commented to the waiter when asked that his chicken was dry. We had to return the two Nan breads as they were cold which I’ve never experienced before. My pasanda was beautifully presented but bland. The surroundings are lovely and the waiting staff good. Oh I also asked for water for the table and was brought enough for one person presented in a jar. Was full of expectation for a special night but all were left very disappointed and for that reason didn’t leave a tip.

Good quality and interesting food with attentive service. Restaurant decor modern and colourful enhancing the ambience of the setting. Recommended to anyone looking for something a little different from the standard indian/bangladeshi offerings.

Beautiful food and the service was great. Very welcoming staff. Some interesting dishes which were different to the normal Indian menus. Table of 4 who had starters, naan, rice and mains (plus 2 beers) came to £120 so, reasonably priced.

Can't fault the food- party of six, all ordered different dishes, all fantastic.. I had Kolkata Chilli Chicken, tasted great, nice and hot, plenty of flavour! Classics (Korma, Biryani, etc) equally well cooked/seasoned. Shared a basket of naan (assorted) between us, also lovely. Decor is interesting, friendly staff and fast service. Would absolutely recommend, far better than any other Indian food I've had around here.

Really tasty food, inviting and friendly environment. I was slightly worried with it being on the main strip on a Saturday night that there would be big groups of drunk people. None what so ever. Food was excellent and pretty quick for a full restaurant. We also had several drinks including cocktails and all for under £70 for 2 was excellent value. Highly recommend the keema naans.

Fantastic as always, Kieran makes the experience so personal and that’s even before we’ve had a bite! The food is the truest representation of Indian cuisine you’ll ever find. I’ve tried many over the years but nothing as authentic as Masala Bazar, highly recommend

Always enjoy the food at Masala Bazaar and the staff are always very friendly without being over the top. Never been disappointed. Lovely decor too.

Very nice food that came very quickly and was piping hot. Only downside is that the restaurant was pretty empty so the waiters just kept coming over to ask if our food was okay - had 4 people come in 15 minutes. But service was very good.

Could not fault this place at all,everything was fantastic staff service,decor,atmosphere and of course the food , it was out of this world totally different from any indian restaurant we ve been in before anywhere . Luv luv luv this place will definitly be back in the future 10/10 would very much recommend

Service Great food Great Staff excellent even on new years eve. The food is authentic Indian not seen in most run of the mill Indian restaurants and a nice change.

Christmas Eve meal and another great night at the Masala Bazaar. Beautiful, full flavoured food with great service, which everyone enjoyed. My favourite Indian restaurant in Carlisle.

We had a very good meal. The food was well presented and tasty. The staff were very attentive and efficient. I would return in the future for another visit.

Visited here on Sat 11th Nov with my sister's as we were in Carlisle Christmas shopping and have to say that we had an amazing meal, wine and cocktails, all served speedily and with very attentive staff. All-in all a fantastic experience and will definitely recommend this restaurant. Hope to be back soon.

Good attentive staff who were very helpful. Portions quite large but very tasty, would recommend the soup as a starter and the biriyani as a main. Overall a very nice experience.

As usual, very welcoming, great food, can't get past the railway curry and fusion Kolcatta chicken. More than enough. Been back 3 weeks running - can't fault it!

Very good service. Ingredients were good quality. The choice of menu options was wide and original. Thought the dishes were over salted And the oil for the fried foods very tired.

The restaurant is central to the shops,pubs and other restaurants.Its modern and airy,plenty of space between tables.The staff were friendly and we were served promptly.However the food was a let down,we couldn't detect any spices,garlic,ginger or chilli,the word bland will adequately describe all the dishes we had,the only item we enjoyed were the naan breads,which were large and very tasty. Would not return as we both enjoy spicy food and that's just didn't get delivered.

Very friendly staff, really nice decor. A really good menu, with a wide choice of options, something for everyone. Just the right size portions. Would definitely make a return visit.

Service and welcome was good. Food seemed high quality but was lacking in spice. My meal was rated 2 chillies a friends was rated 3. Both dishes had zero spice. I'm not big on how hot chillies are but it was almost like they had forgotten to add the chillies. Other than that the food was good.

Fantastic meal, love the different menu. The staff were very attentive and polite. I took a group of friends that hadn't visited the restaurant before, they were very impressed. We will be back.

Excellent service and beautiful food. This place never fails to live up to expectations. Many of our friends use this as their first choice for Indian food in Carlisle. Keep up the great standards !

Service was quick and very professional, food was brilliant and overall evening was high quality. Would recommend to anyone who likes indian food or just wants to try it.

This was our 1st Visit to this Restaurant but will definitely not be the last it has to be 1of the best in Carlisle the staff from us going in till we came out were very helpful and courteous and the meals we ordered were out of this world I definitely would recommend this Restaurant

Great food, with many dishes not seen at the average "Indian" restaurant. If we visit Carlisle again, we will definitely return to the Masala Bazaar.

Wonderful food and great service. Soft shell crab and scallops with cauliflower puree were great. A great reason to go to carlisle for the evening.

Food and Service was great I loved how the plates were red hot before they served your main course up. Really enjoyed the sizzling chicken. Will defiantly be back! Tremendous👍

This is not your usual indian restaurant with the same old menu. The Masal Bazaar offers a selection of dishes I've never seen before and to top it all the food lived up to my expectations. All of us enjoyed our meal. Believe me, give it try, you won't be disappointed. The service was excellent and the staff very attentive without being intrusive.
