Excellent food and service. Great atmosphere as restaurant was full and buzzing. I thought it was a little expensive but then it was worth it.

Great service, lovely food. Cute Spanish experience. Good choice of tapas dishes including specials of the day. Price is moderate. I would eat here again

The staff were all really lovely and the food was delicious! We felt like we were back in Barcelona - would definitely go again! Yum!

I have known Mar I Terra for a long time. I have many good memories of it. Yesterday the food was good. The service was friendly and efficient. I was in good company.

Wonderful and delicious meal attentively and hospitable served. All top marks. Tapas works well for us and adds to the cameraderie. On a weeknight not much late or drinking but everything we had we enjoyed- as ever.

Good food, a lovely place, friendly staff. Well worth a visit if you are in Southwark. Reasonably priced. Second visit and still a good choice.

You cannot ask for a warmer welcome from a restaurant than what you can expect from Rafa at Mar i Terra. The choice and quakity of the tapas is excellent. The deserts are also very authentic and delicious. The wine selection - especially the reds - are superb and bery good value (with high-end wones, too). Highly recommended.

Lovely friendly atmosphere and delicious tapas. Enjoyed the Manzilla Sherry! Delightful staff and the octopus and Padron peppers were really good. Good location for Southbank.

A truly authentic, old established Spanish Tapas restaurant in a grade 2 listed 19th century pub. Perfect food, wine list and service - a little known gem.

Amazing service and such a good quality of food, I could say it’s like eating in Spain. The waiters were very attentive at all times and the owner was such a good host

Another great meal here. As last time the food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed. It has the feel of an authentic Spanish restaurant and is an oasis of calm in an otherwise busy city.

I've been going to Mar i Terra since it had a branch in Air Street off Piccadilly. It's simply some of the best tapas I've ever eaten either here or in Spain. Thoroughly recommended!

Our first visit & it wont be our last (we travel into London a lot). Seems like a family run restaurant a refreshing change from branded/chain eateries with its simple layout & décor. Friendly service & lovely Tapas. Took the advice of our waiter about the number of dishes to have & he was spot on. We did book ahead but were the first there so cannot confirm how service/atmosphere etc. would be when busy but they seemed to have enough waiters if it did became busy later.

Visiting London and went with my boyfriend for a birthday meal. We’re fans of tapas and always looks for a tapas restaurant. Very nice experience, lovely food and the staff were very helpful. Had five dishes between us and it was more than enough.

There is a very relaxed atmosphere and pleasant and helpful staff. The menu has plenty of choice of interesting items and the amounts are perfect for sharing. Highly recommended

To be fair the food was good and the wine too but I was overcharged by two glasses, didn't spot it on the night and both messages sent via their 'contact us form' have been ignored. Be very careful if you dine here.

Very hospitable restaurant. Traditional tapas - nothing gimmicky. Place has been there for years and has a regular clientele that comes back to where they are made to feel welcome.

Excellent food, great menu selection, good and unhurried service, conveniently close to the tube. Would recommend to couples and small groups of up to six.

Authentic Spanish restaurant very close to Southwark station. Great food and excellent service - highly recommend the House Red. We visited in the summer and had a dinner outside in the courtyard - we will return again!

Mar i Terra is a lovely, family-owned, genuine place with honest, tasty tapas and an excellent Spanish wine selection. The owner/maître-d is hugely welcoming and always has a warm amile for all customers. It is our tapas restaurant of default and an excellent place to go to for a pre-theatre South Bank/Old Vic supper or a longer stay. Highly recommended.

Excellent family run restaurant. Very friendly and authentic and absolutely delicious food! I don't eat meat but there was plenty to enjoy and the puddings were a hit. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Very authentic tapas experience... would recommend. not a huge menu, but great flavours ... and extensive wine list that lets you sample a range of Spanish wines. Great service.

Nice food, I didn't like the aoili, but otherwise delicious and rich. The olives are tasty, marinated in herbs, good wine selection and crema Catalan was mouthwatering.

As a gluten free vegan I'm usually limited in my menu options - not so at Mar I Terra. I was spoiled for choice and everything was delicious!

This Spanish restaurant is wonderful, great food, wine and excellent atmosphere. It is best to book a table so that you are not disappointed. You can share dishes or order individually all the food is good but I especially recommend the pulp and garbanzos.

Lovely restaurant. Great food, great service, great ambiance. Standard tapas was on offer, had Patatas bravas, Tortilla Española, Berenjenas alinadas, Sardinas a la plancha. Portions were just right. Looking forward to going back.

We got a table outside in their backyard which was lovely. Food was great, albeit not cheap, but worth it. I will come back. Well done.

This is one of our favourite restaurants. Everything is pretty much always perfect. The quality of ingredients is top notch and we've never had a bad meal. Try the lentils and root vegetables, but also everything else on the menu.

Food fantastic. Staff charming. Only reason not a top score was the service was a little slow. I would thoroughly recommend it both summer (cute garden in the middle of very urban environment) and winter - inside warm and cosy.

Fantastic night, tasty food, good sangria and service was wonderful. Lovely little garden out the back and you wouldn't realise where you were most of the time, you could be in a little courtyard garden in Barcelona rather than Southwark

Decent local tapas restaurant - food is tasty, and staff are friendly. Atmosphere has good buzz. Slow roasted pork with apple was a stand out and wine list was good.

Interesting interpretation of the Tapas concept, but we tried others in London, which were much better. The food was a little bit boring and tasteless.

Authentic Spanish food - we sat in the garden as it was a lovely evening. The food was brilliant, as was the service - we will be back very soon!
