We love the authentic atmosphere and staff, food is always great quality and most portions are generous - this is one of our favourite warm and cozy dining spots in London.
The staff and tapas were good. But disappointing that in a Spanish restaurant FINO SHERRY was not available!
Have been going there for years. Tonight was another great experience!
Great food and great service. Nicely tucked away from The Cut in a great spot.
Great atmosphere and food. Staff attentive pouring wine and very polite
Nice atmosphere, excellent food and attentive service. Very enjoysble and would definately visit again next time I come to London!
Extremely tiny portions (4 tiny croquetas, nearly £7) 6 calamares in a portion. It was my birthday and I was disappointed by the small portions of each dish. Sangria was full of ice. I won’t be coming back.
Wonderful, friendly service, great food and wine. My favourite London restaurant.
Nice food but way to expensive. It’s a tapas place it should cost so much
Good food, wine and good service. Enjoyed it a lot.
a group of older friends. We sat upstairs where it is a little less noisy. Food is great and delicious house red
We love this tapas bar and have returned several times. The food, atmosphere and service are all stupendous. If you love Spanish food and wine it is possibly the best and most authentic to be found anywhere outside Spain.
Good foods and wines. Staff is very friendly and kind.
Lovely, friendly, family-run tapas place with consistently good food and fair prices.
A great new discovery. Delicious food and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere too thanks to the friendly staff.
Sehr freundliche und herzliche Bedienung. Hauswein rot und die ausgewählten Speisen 5 Sterne mit Ausrufezeichen
Great food and service. Excellent wine list! Always good in our experience.
Went with people who had never been before and all five of them enjoyed it greatly.
Great food , friendly staff. Would recommend the friends and work colleagues.
Not the easiest place to find, but well worth it when you do!
Excellent food, will return with more friends to taste the very good Sangria, Sardines were very fresh which mixed well with the octopus. Can’t fault the staff who were very attentive.
Great food and wine and most importantly fantastic staff who are attentive and friendly without ever making you feel rushed. Had a great evening here and will definitely be back.
Tres bonnes tapas vraiment typiques de Galice tres bons produits. Dans un quartier un peu isolé du centre mais cela en vaut la peine. Çe qui comote c’est ce qu’on mange et non la déco.
The food here is always authentic and good and although busy, has a nice relaxed atmosphere. Having said that, portions last night were minuscule and overpriced, and the food not as hot as it should have been. Compared to other Tapas in the area, it does not present good value for money.
Very much enjoyed our Saturday evening at Mar I Terra. Delicious food & wine, lovely service. The place feels authentic. It got very busy later on. Will definitely go again.
Excellent restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and the food, wine and service were fantastic! Highly recommended as good for groups and couples. Will definitely be returning
A very good experience as usual at Mar I terra. The friendly staff and great tapas makes this a great place to go out for a meal.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The tapas had lots of flavour. For London , the restaurant offers good value for money. Unfortunately two of the tapas we chose, the rabbit and the beans, was no longer available. However the lentils and chicken were excellent.
Fab traditional little tapas restaurant...friendly, welcoming service. Great food...tortilla was delicious!! Rabbit really tasty (especially the sauce) and yummy chicken livers. Scrummy dessert (sweetmeat with a little shot..mmmm) perfect end to a great evening.
Excellent service and warm welcome, stayed with friends in the restaurant for a couple of hours with no hassle to move. Lovely place and good food.
Lovely, welcoming restaurant. Hadn’t visited for a while but it hadn’t changed a bit and we had a very nice, tasty meal with a good bottle of Rioja. A warm, happy, relaxed place to spend an evening.
Excellent food and wine, a real taste of Spain. Enjoyed every dish and - somewhat surprisingly for an aithentic Spanish place - there was lots for vegetarians and vegans.
Really lovely family run restaurant with good food and a great atmosphere. Top notch. The waiter even ran after us when I forgot my umbrella; what service! Go.
excellent evening! We had a great time and the food was perfect as usual - will definitely be back when I am next in the area.
Very nice buzzy place. Very friendly service. Excellent tapas dishes, some of them quite unusual. The sort of place I wish was my local. Will certainly visit again.
Home cooking - like my other half's mother would make back in Spain. Highly recommended for a reasonably priced and heartily filling Spanish lunch. Go enjoy.
Very nice little Spanish restaurant, with delicious authentic tapas and friendly service. A bit difficult to find as Gambia street is not named at the Union Street end!
Had a pretty good tapas meal and some decent Rioja with a friend at this cosy out of the way restaurant near Southwark tube station.
A most enjoyable lunch, as usual at this friendly restaurant. I have already booked in for another lunch next month which I am looking forward to.
Great food, excellent service and good wines. What more could you want? A very good experience we shall return. The price is OK too. Give it a go
Very good food and service and very fruity and tasty Galician white wine. Meatballs are great stuffed peppers with crab were lovely and finished off with a local zesty pudding.
Sangria was really good. Some of the tapas a tad salty. The tortilla was so good I ordered another one. Overall I would recommend and revisit.
A quiet Thursday lunch but superb tapas, fast and friendly service, and a fine house white. And sherry options and cortado too. Very good indeed and we’ll be back. The bread could have been better, especially with some aioli but that may be contrary to their regional tastes. Fair enough. I’ve moved out of London after a lifetime there. Getting more easily to places like this is one of the downsides of moving away.
The food are from fresh material and are traditionally cooked. I assume they use very good olive oil for cooking. Food is excellent and the people at restaurant were so professional and helpful.
Delicious food- plenty of veggie options. And lovely friendly service- they let us stay as long as we wanted. Very nearSouthwark tube - highly recommended
Mar i Terra has really good food, the tapas are authentic and delicious. The restaurant is very cozy and familiar, and the service was great.
Fantastic food and wine with great service as well. Took a client who works nearby and had never heard of this little GEM... Well done everyone and we will definitely being returning. Thank you
Very nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. Would recommend to anyone. the house red wine is very good and only £19 so definitely get a bottle if you're there!
Traditional, simple tapas bar in long-converted London pub - never disappoints! Warm welcome, eat at the bar if full, and a small courtyard for warmer days.
We had a very pleasant mid-week lunch at Mar I Terra; laid back, friendly, great food. I've been eating here for years and it can sometimes get busy, but I've never been disappointed.
