Great food, cooked to perfection. We were a noisy bunch with five kids and the staff were really patient with us and food was delicious
Great location, food and atmosphere, with excellent service! Thank you
Food amazing staff great and can’t wait to go back
Disappointed with the food this time I’m sad to say. Previous visits were far better. Lamb curry on the bone was tough and chicken 65 starter sweet and sickly.
Great good and great service ! The restaurant is getting busier by the day
The food was absolutely delicious. Best Indian meal I’ve had in ages. Can’t wait to go back
1st time at Manjal with my family last night food was amazing I eaten Indian food before but not like this I asked for a lamb bhuna and our waiter recommended southern railway lamb curry which I wouldn’t have ordered but was the best India meal I’ve ever had so don’t be scared to ask or try can’t wait to go back thanks Manjal for a great evening
again the food was first class, there seemed to be more staff so quicker service... v happy we have booked again for this weekend
Delicious food, attentive and friendly waiters. Thank you very much
The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, the waiters were very charming, helpful and attentive. The food was outstanding, the flavours and portion sizes were excellent. We would highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning sooner rather than later 😀
Great mix of North and South Indian cuisine with very polite and attentive staff
Good cocktails , good food , good service Plenty of parking
Great food, certainly the best Indian restaurant in Loughton. Will be visiting again.
Nice food and lovely staff. Parking facilities too. I would recommend a try.
It was tasty. Good service. Good food. I would go back.
Although they could not find my booking. They did accommodate us after a bit of a wait! Service slow as busy but food very nice.
Good experience in the restaurant. Nice food. I will go back.
food was delicious and staff were very friendly and helpful
Food was amazing and lots of parking which is an added bonus.
Very quiet beautiful location Staff were very friendly Delicious food
Great food but there is not much atmosphere. Worth a visit.
Another excellent meal and the service is getting better all the time. Not too busy even though it was a Saturday evening which meant that the food was cooked to a high standard. Will go back.
Nice food and friendly staff i will come again .thanks
Indifferent service, food over-hot (chilli), and expensive i.e. £50 per head. A lot of money for an average meal. Didn't feel the special atmosphere or experience the LBC advertisement describes. Shame.
enjoyed the visit. Very relaxing experience. Staff were pleasant, listening , and helpful . Overall the selection of the place was liked by my friends.
We've heard such fantastic reviews of this Indian but we were disappointed with the food. It seemed like chef was having an off night as we felt that the meat in the dishes was over cooked and dry. The starters were the best bit, very tasty and an unusual selection to pick from. Generally the dishes are hotter than described so its probably worth erring on the safe side if you don'st like spicy food, We'll go again, it's never fair to judge a restaurant on one visit.
Super food. Super value and pleasant helpful staff. What’s not to like.
Lovely food again from a varied and interesting menu , freshly cooked and served by helpful staff.
Nice quiet location. The food is lovely and staff are always on hand to help. Would definitely recommend. Second time here and will visit regularly
Lovely food once again. Service is improving all the time.
Good South Indian food. Slightly on the spicier side so be warned
Average food prices a little high. Portions could be bigger for the prices charged.
This is my second visit. My party liked the way you looked after us. Food was very tasty and price reasonable. Clean and spacey atmosphere. Will come again.
Really good food but inattentive service and slightly strange location
Good food. Good service. Room too big. Needs round tables Not much atmosphere and decor could be improved.
Did not enjoy my food one bit Not my type of INDIAN food .Will not be returning
Great food, ample parking, service abit slow, worth it though
We really had a wonderful experience, food was absolutely amazing authentic and delicious. Service was excellent.
The food was really nice and the stuff helpful and friendly
Whilst initially the service was very slow, waiting staff struggled with our drinks and starters, this improved as the evening went on and could not fault towards the end of the meal. The food was very good and enjoyed the evening.
Very very slow service and not very busy. I wont be back
excellent location great food value for money highly recommend. was a bit tricky to find
Excellent meal and prompt and attentive service will definitely visit again
This was our fifth visit to Manjal and confirmed once again the very high quality Indian food that the restaurant serves. Service was enthusiastic and helpful with good explanations of unusual dishes.
Food excellent as always. service improved. atmosphere was calm as always. recommend other people to try the speciality food. will both be returning again soon with guests
Nice place good food worth a visit.they are giving 25% discount at the moment to promote the restaurant on your total bill not sure how long this will last.had a really nice meal no complaints will definitely go back discount or not.lots of vegetarian options king prawns starter were very tasty.
This is a great location for a first class restaurant, which has over 50 car park spaces. On the borders of Loughton, right by the Forest Shopping Park, Langston Rd. This is not your usual Curry house, Manjal specialize in authentic north & south Indian cuisine. They have the regular classics along with south indian pancakes, Magnum Opus (chef's work of art) along with a good drinks menu including cocktails. It would be good to see a House champagne on this menu as it jumps from the prosecco to Veuve Clicquot. The restaurant looks lovely inside with fresh white table linen and plenty of room to move about. Soft background music and a soothing ambience along with excellent food and service. We enjoyed the Chicken Chettinad, the chicken was so tender, the Prawn Hara Payz was excellent, my favorite was Indo mushroom Manjuriyan. We also had pulao rice, chapati raitha and wine by the glass, all was excellent. We were offered complementary Padad and dips which was a very nice touch. When the bill arrived we had a very nice surprise! as they had taken off 25% which is their offer until 30th of June 2019! that is a very generous offer. We are looking forward to coming back and trying more new dishes
Nice food, friendly staff and a pleasant feeling. Very much enjoyed this year Valentine’s Day with my husband and family. I would definitely recommend it.
Staff were curtious and helpful...the starters of calimari and butterfly prawns were over cooked but the main biryani was ok Its new and large restaurant so hopefully will get better
Extremely bad service! Turned up at the time we booked our table for but no body there to greet us. Had to wait around 10 mins before we were seated, yet there were only two tables occupied. After seating it took another 15 mins plus before we saw the waiter to take our order for the drinks. When we spoke to the waiter...reason for such a long wait was that they had a very important client in the other room and they needed their full attention, therefore we were made to feel third class clients. I think they got there priorities wrong. The decor is minimal it feels more like a canteen then restaurant We ordered salmon as one of the dishes, this came too dry and a little off. Rest of the food was average with minimal presentation. Unfortunately we will not be going back again. Good luck with their new venture in Chingford.
