Had lasagne and tiramisu. Both clearly freshly made and delicious. Lovely restaurant. Great location near the castle. Had Groupon deal which was good value. Fab.
What a great little find - food and service both excellent. Loved the rustic ambience, very traditional Italian and you must try the Creme Brûlée
Absolutely fabulous meal!! Service very good considering there was a hen party which overtook the restaurant.... however it didn’t spoil our memorable time back at our favourite Italian restaurant!
A very quaint and novel little restaurant with an intimate and homely atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious and it was very good they catered for gluten-free diets too. Very friendly staff and everything cooked from scratch including wonderfuo homemade desserts. Overall a perfect experience, will definitely return.
Nice little restaurant within walking distance of Main Street on way up to castle. Very well looked after by the manager and waiting staff without feeling hovered over. Food was fresh and tasty. Portions a bit on the big side-so much so no one managed dessert.
Intimate, warm & friendly restaurant with absolutely amazing food. Love it & cannot recommend highly enough. My third visit & each has been a very high standard of service & food.
Brilliant & authentic tasty italian food . A throughly enjoyable night, the staff friendly and helpful . I would highly recommend Mama Mia to anyone.
So I booked a table for me and this absolute hunny to go for dinner. We walk up to the place after a cheeky bev and it's dark. The restaurant was closed, but just gave me an excuse to take her out again. And I've been here before and it's smashing
Disappointed I didn’t have a coffee as they only have full fat milk. Didn’t think it too much to ask to have semi skimmed available. Don’t understand why some restaurants only have full day. I enjoyed my main course and a decent size portion.
Mamma Mia’s is an amazing place to eat, great atmosphere, food was delicious and the service was spot on, highly recommended we are even going back for our work Christmas night out,
The food at Mamma Mia is very good and justifies the high prices. However, the portions are smaller than expected from a restaurant like this. We could have added sides but that would have pushed the price even higher. I enjoyed my risotto, for example, but there just wasn’t enough and adding potatoes would have spoiled the dish. A bit more rice, fill the plate and I would have been delighted. My arancini were magnificent as a starter and the tiramisu was best I have had. Service was friendly, tolerant of our efforts to pronounce the order and knowledgeable but not intrusive. There is a lot to like about this place and I will probably go back when I feel rich enough to buy sides!
Excellent food , sadly no gluten free pizza but a good choice of gluten free meat dishes or pasta dishes. Amazing Gluten Free creme brulee, wine was great, really Great restaurant.
Food and staff was absolutely amazing. It reminded me of an authentic little Italy restaurant that the staff was so warm and inviting as soon as we walked in. Meatballs and pasta was absolutely amazing.
Food good but my main course wasnt very big. ALthough we picked the early menu my wife gave me 1/2 of hers as mine was very small. We paid £17.95 each which was cheaper but still enough to get a decent size main course portion.Felt staff were not relaxed (they were very nice) as the manager was charging about and not very pleasant.
Lovely food and a nice atmosphere, very helpful waitresses but quite a grumpy abrupt waiter. I would eat here again but maybe not so soon
The restaurant is a bit of a 'Tardis', bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. It has a typical Italian menu. I opted for a pasta dish as I was running a marathon the following day. The food was good quality and well presented. Service was mainly friendly and efficient. The man running the restaurant looked a little serious but the young people serving were friendly and helpful. If you are looking for decent quality Italian food at a reasonable price in the centre of Stirling this fits the bill.
Poor welcome from the owner, the fact we had a Groupon deal obviously did not please him. Limited choice on the menu due to the Groupon deal even although the deal was to the value of £47 Won't be back
Although a nice experience, menu quite limited with no pizza or meat courses. Lasagne good but possibly a bit on the bland side for me. Arborio rice delicious. Waiter paid less attention to me (I assume because I'm a woman) than he did my partner, and expected him to foot the bill etc. A bit old fashioned.
Excellent food friendly service would recomend to everyone.a very intermit venue for that romantic evening for all occasions.you need to try for yourself to get it
Extremely poor if I could give a 0 I would this was booked clearly stating a Groupon voucher would be used however when we arrived we were asked is it a Groupon .we were given a menu only for another member of staff to take this menu from us .he told us the Groupon only covered the lunch menu to the value of £27 for 2 it was pointed out to the member of staff that he was Weiss the Groupon was to the value of £47.40 I had an argument with him and my wife an I left without ordering anything we will never be back in this restaurant the guy I argued with has no customer skills maybe needs a bit of training to help him do his job correctly
Great location, fantastic food, great service would highly recommend especially for ambiance and if you like traditional Italian style restaurants this is definatley worth a visit.
Excellent food. Good sized portions. Very friendly staff. My wife and I will certainly be back for a meal in the not to distant future.
Lovely restaurant with great decor and attentive staff. Our main courses were great the only issue for us was the started whereby our stuffed rice balls with a bolognese filling lacked filling
Good food. Nice ambience. Friendly staff. All you could ask for from any restaurant. Great location in the centre of historic Stirling. Worth a visit.
Very limited menu ,overpriced and food average would not be inclined to return. We were asked to come earlier than we wanted but the restaurant was empty ,no atmosphere.
We had not been for a couple of years. The menu is a bit limiting from what it was. Saying that, our food was tasty and the staff were extremely pleasant and efficient. There was always a rustic feel and good atmosphere in the place, however the fabric of the restaurant is now a bit "care worn" and tatty. A shirt hanging up behind the door and litter and bags stuffed there as well? A bit disappointed from our previous experiences.
Lovely food, great waiters but a manager who ruined it all by trying to kick us out very quickly - 25 minutes before he originally said he needed the table back. Won't be returning unfortunately.
Intimate little restaurant. Traditional Italian with excellent cuisine and good choice of wine by the glass. We sampled from both the menu and the day's specialities. Service was friendly and attentive.
Fantastic traditional food, lovely atmosphere. Waiters were helpful and friendly. Very quick service. Will definitely go back again, it is the best Italian restaurant in Scotland.
Lovely cosy family restaurant with great Italian cooking - not a pizza in sight! Need to book at the weekend as this is Stirling's top eatery
Excellent as always, Service is again on par with the quality of the food - we've eaten here a number of times and never had a bad course - would highly recommend.
We had a lovely meal in a very relaxing atmosphere staff were very welcoming and very friendly and the food was very good we will return again most definitely.
Party of 4 on a Friday night. We had speedy service, with lovely food and wine. Second time we have been and will be again. Travelled from Peterhead and booked in advance. Well worth a visit!!!!
Lovely homely friendly restaurant. Nice welcome, decent wine list, great home cooked food. Good service, great portion sizes - ideal for a three course meal. Will return.
Quaint and slightly surreal but wonderfully authentic food served with a smile. We will definitely return as we both had a real laugh. Ross and Shumela
Managerial staff have poor people skills, were rude and abruot and overall waiting time to be served was far too long. The menu lacks variety/choice and most dishes were overpriced for what they were. Soft drinks are far too expensive i.e. £5 for two small glasses. Overall bad experience.
The staff were welcoming and extremely attentive and friendly at all times. The quality and presentation of food was lovely, although not huge portions. Was very surprised no pizza on menu but for us we had enough choice. I would definitely recommend and go back.
Lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. A number of options for vegetarians which was a nice surprise for my wife. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Restaurant was cold, however the 3 open windows were closed at our request. Ate with my jacket on. Main courses lacked flavour and substance. Carbonara had little ham and my spicy sausage pasta dish lacked sausage and spice. Over priced food, even if it had been of a reasonable quality, really high mark up on pasta. We will not be back.
Excellent. Amazing smoked haddock with asparagus. The only negative was the bruschetta -- very tasty but only three small pieces on fairly normal, thin bread for £8.50.
