Macellaio RC - Union Street

I habe been few times and i loved...but my last visit was disappointed..the food and the drinks were ok... i recommed the focaccia with stracchino...but the waiter was not amazing or attentive and look like it was very annoyed. I believe i will not be back.

Carne di ottima qualità, prezzo adeguato, forse porzioni un po’ piccole. Comunque personale gentile, location accogliente e carina. Poca scelta nella sezione dolcì Ci tornerei sicuramente

Location deliziosa, cucina ottima. Sono stata con mio marito e il mio bimbo di 2 anni e siamo stati benissimo. Cibo ottimo, siamo di Genova ed effettivamente posso affermare che il pesto e la focaccia al formaggio sono fatti benissimo.

Assolutamente da consigliare! Location fantastica, carne al top! Piaciuta molto anche la pissa e la focaccia genovese... riesce ad essere molto molto originale in una città piena di ristoranti originali

Io e il mio ragazzo abbiamo prenotato sotto consiglio di un'amica. Tutto delizioso uno dei pochi posti a Londra dove puoi veramente mangiare bene e sentirti vicino all'Italia. Sicuramente ci torneremo!! E il conto era più che onesto!!

Highly recommended! Great Italian meat, tasteful, tender and delicious in good size portions. The menu is original, newspaper shaped and styled, not too rich and not too poor, just perfect. Best looking staff I ever seen. Great place! Don't miss it.

We visited Macellaio for my partner's birthday. The entire experience was amazing. The service was good, the food was good, and overall we enjoyed it a lot. Definitely recommend it.

We both had mild food poisoning the next day after dining here. It probably won’t put us off as it can happen anywhere and we have enjoyed several good visits previously but took the shine off this time!

Prezzo adeguato anche se tirato verso l'alto. Location carina personale gentile. La data della cena coincideva con la partita colombia - inghilterra quindi un pò di caos ma niente di sgradevole

Excellent. Food was outstanding and so was the service! We had starters + beef fillet which was perfectly cooked. I would recommend for a night with friends or a date night!

second time i've been there and impressed both times. the waiting staff are genuinley pleased to guide you through the menu and wine list. The steaks are superb and it feels totally hassle free and a lovely place to have a relaxing meal.

Overall one of the best restaurant in London. The quality of the food and especially of the meat is amazing, good wine list too with a wide selection.

Friendly staff and great service, with quality food! .. and well presented. If you're there in then summer, make sure to get in with the Aperol.

The first time I went to this restaurant (in Clerkenwell), the food was great. This time (Union St), it was awful. Truly awful. The T-bone steak was badly cooked and the meat was stringy and tough (not to mention, raw when medium rare was requested). The service was over attentive and annoying. Given that none of these restaurants are particularly comfortable (forgivable when the food is good), it was a terrible night. At £50 per person with no wine, it ranked as one of the most disappointing dinners in london. I’ll never go back and never recommend.

Dear Sirs, I hereby mean to provide a constructive feedback: * food is very good * fari value for money * service is not as good as food, examples: one of the waiting staff is very new and learning English, but at minimum all of them must know translation in English of all items in the menu (eg some desserts are typed in Italian and the staff must be able to translate); one of us would need to avoid gluten (no allergy): indications on what contained/contaminated gluten was not straight forward (this was another member of staff); when presented with the bill we were simultaneously presented with credit card machine too: not acceptable, you must leave few minutes to customer to check the bill; guys in the kitchen - and I know the work is hard there - were showing signs of distress - not acceptable given that you can see them from the dining room. Having said all the above, I will go back since the food is very good, however would appreciate a more professional service. Thanks and Regards, Isabella.

I have been at Macellaio at least 6 time. Goodman, Zelman, Gaucho: they are nothing compare to it. Union Steet restaurant thoough is the best of them all. Going soon to check out the newly open branch in Battersea.

We tried few different dishes between the bakery and the butcher and all of them were amazing. Also the service was great,professional but friendly at the same time.

Great atmosphere, great food, great wine and fantastic staff. A lovely little piece of Italy in the heart of London. A "must go to place" when you are in the City.

The meat is amazing ,fresh and very nice cooked ❤️❤️ The waiters was very nice and polite . We will definelly will come back .

I'm very happy to give this restaurant a solid 10/10. Wine menu is perfectly Italian yet selected for its best quality and regions, food is authentic and cooked beautifully (bursting flavours) and atmosphere and staff are wonderful and attentive at all times. Mario who is the restaurant manager always make our evenings to the top level. I recommend this fantastic place to meat and wine lovers and specially to people who would want to spend money for great food(£100 for 2) and carefully selected wines at reasonable prices.

Was super quiet on a Sunday lunchtime but food was top! Recommended for meat lovers - great steaks, staff and surroundings. Will be back. 😋

Great food and Ambience, good service. A bit hot and loud ventilation. We tried several starters and a rump steak and everything was just perfect.

Premium quality, but a bit overpriced for the overall dinner. Great experience, we always enjoy coming back to Macellaio RC. The location is awesome and cozy.

I would go back just for the meat. We had the the fiorentina and the crostata which were both great.The meat was very tender and delicious! The charcuterie board was also very good. The side dishes (spinach, potatoes, green salad) were rather average (much better in other steakhouses) and the tiramisu was less than average ( very sweet). Service was excellent and the decor was modern industrial. We did not really enjoy the loud music as it was difficult to discuss.

Staff were wonderful this evening . Friendly and accommodating. Thank you! Food was great too. Love ordering the Fiorentina to share amongst a small group.

Abbiamo scelto questo ristorante per il nostro pranzo di Pasqua e siam stati notevolmente sorpresi. Servizio impeccabile : ogni cameriere è molto attento ad ogni ospite ed é sempre pronto a spiegarti ogni proposta del menù. La carne era tenera morbida e molto saporita. I dolci sia il classico tiramisù sia la proposta della panna cotta al basilico ci hanno stupito. Siamo stati decisamente soddisfatti. Per quanto riguarda il conto; è un pochino caro ma sono soldi decisamente ben spesi. Provatelo!

There was no fillet steak when we arrived. Ended up ordering the rabbit that had no flavour at all. The tiramisu was also below average.

Really good food, meat is amazing, tender and i was able to get it cooked rare, which is not easy to find in london! The service was really professional and friendly. I highly recommend this place

There was way too much salt on the baked potatoes and way too less salt on the meat. The waitress tried to sell too much meat for only 2 people. I asked for 800 gr of Fiorentina and he served us 900 gr. So when ordering, order alway 100/200 gr less so you have the right amount. Service was fast and kind, even though the waitress did not give us time to think and decide what to order
