Lovely service and amazing food! Having the roast fondue with 1 meat eater and 1 vegetarian I found they were very accomodating ensuring we had our our gravy for dipping :)
We like to call into Ma Boyles before we start the night. Called in last night before seeing a show at the Echo Arena. Good, consistant, freshly cooked food. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable and the service is very good. Highly recommended but please no rowdy stag or hen parties!
Great atmosphere, friendly staff meal was great only complaint cold in the eating area, could be down to such low temperatures, will definitely eat here again. Have called in plenty of time just for a drink
We love Ma Boyles. We love the atmosphere.... thursday night is my fave when the band is on. If you live vintage/gypsy kinda vibe you'll love it. Sunday is good too ...the new Sunday fondue sounded great so we tried it. Although it was presented well and tasted lovely I didn't like that we shared a fondue pot with the whole table and I though £15 per head was a bit over priced. I'll stick to the traditional roast dinner. One of my fave places in Liverpool though! 👍x
Best fish and chips in Liverpool. Efficient and quick service with a smile from the lovely staff. Very pleasant ambience in one of the city's traditional pubs.
Very nice pub with a very typical british atmosphere! The food is really good, especially the scouse, and the dessert were good as well. The waitress was very nice and she made us feel confortable! We will come back for sure!
Great little pub serving excellent food. First visit. Not a massive menu but that's a good thing. Had Sunday lunch and it was gorgeous! Others with me had different pies and chips/mash and veg and agreed it was very nice. They also serve unlimited brunch with unlimited prosecco at weekends which seemed to be a big hit with the two massive groups of hens! Hence it was very very noisy! Lol. Would like to try again later in the day or in the week -bit quieter I hope! Having said that, the food and drink was lovely and that was why we went!
Visited for lunch on a week day. Excellent quality food and very fast service. I can recommend the scouse pie. The staff are great. We will be visiting again soon.
This is a lovely place! Great menu - great prices - great quality - great portions. Friendly helpful people too. Can’t recommend it enough! Really pleased.
The music was excellent! Cute cozy place with tons of bachelorettes wrapped in toilet paper... the meat and ale pie is delicious but the scouse dish was awful (dont order the scouse)
Gorgeous little place with amazing staff and atmosphere, we felt really well looked after. The food was delicious too so will definitely be coming back.
Large loud party near by couldn’t hear our conversation over their noise. Would have been better to seat us elsewhere knowing the large party were coming in.
Excellent service from start to finish. Friendly waitress who made us feel welcome and kept our drinks topped up We will visit again soon ..
Fantastic little place; really friendly and helpful plus the food and service is really good. We had the Scouse and it was truly delicious. We will definitely return.
Great place , been before for Sunday lunch and really enjoyed it , wasn't the same experience this time ,only two staff on ,so slow service , food and drinks had roast beef dinner ,plenty of beef but warm veg and had to ask for more gravy as meal was dry ,apple crumble which was great last time ,but this visit ,it was over cooked apple stewed and crumble raw , no kids menu ,but did small portions ,think need to change oil in chip fryer as chips were very greasy , dissapointed as bought Family over from wales for birthday lunch
Great brunch. Food good, constant flow of prosecco as well. Good location and nice bar. Staff very friendly. Will definitely good back again soon for the brunch.
Good food and good service. Enjoyed everything and would go back again
Good food enjoyed by everyone and nice friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere. We all had different meals but all turned up at the same time and no one had any complaints!
Booked table on line which was easy to set up, received notifications and prebooked food prior to arrival as only have an hour for lunch. Food was ready shortly after arrival. Service was excellent and the staff were really helpful. Will return again.
Very enjoyable evening, staff looked after us. Only minor problem was that the scouse was very watery - more like soup than scouse. Those of us who ordered it ate it without complaining but I wouldn't order it again. Everyone else enjoyed their meals. Shame really about the scouse - I have had Ma Boyles Scouse before and it was gorgeous
A friendly atmosphere and delicious food ..From arriving to leaving everything was lovely.. The staff are so welcoming .. we are definitely going to return...
Great food, great atmosphere, great staff. We have been to this fabulous place several times now and the staff make it what it is - each and every one of them are a pleasure to meet.
Very friendly staff, great customer service. Food delicious, but one of the meals (scouse) had a poor serving compared to other meals. Will visit again!
Lovely food excellent staff I would call Ma Boyles a hidden gem a little hard to find if your not used to Liverpool but well worth it when you get there
Ordered a cheeseburger and chips. It was very tasty and cooked very well. Prompt service and staff very friendly. They will also come to the table to take drinks orders so you do t have to go to the bar during your meal.
Great food good entertainment great staff had great night would go again must try Sunday lunches been told they are very very good thanks for great night
Ok but nothing special. If I had paid full price I wouldn’t have been happy but got a groupon deal, I wouldn’t go back for food but would for drinks.
Great service, great food and great deal - prosecco was certainly free flowing. Staff were really helpful and friendly and will certainly return! Thank you
Overall great. Few things from menu were not available, so check with staff before making decision. Great staff and tasty food. We will be coming back.
It all seemed a bit disorganised! I had booked a table for brunch and it was presumed that it was a special deal, which it wasn't. Our veggie breakfasts had overcooked sausages and the avocado came separately as it had been forgotten. The cocktails would be a bargain, but at least half our jug was full of ice cubes. After a couple of watery glasses we removed the remaining ice cubes with a spoon and filled 3 glasses with these to the brim. A good price overall if you disregard the problems.
Food was poor - the burger basically fell apart and crumbled. Staff weren't interested when taking our order or speaking to us. I had to go to the bar to pay the bill - it was not busy as all 3 staff were stood behind the bar. The act that played was brilliant as a positive.
Would probably say that this is more of a drinking venue than a food venue. Quite a limited menu and no children's menu either. Wouldn't recommend this for families with children in the evening due to the live music which was too loud for a small venue such as this which meant we could barely hear each other. Food was fine though and would probably go back during the daytime when not as crowded.
Not the best Sunday lunch ive eaten, ordered chicken supreme but was just a plain chicken breast. It's a nice charming pub for a drink or brunch just the dinner could have been a little better.
Fantastic bar, very lively with good music. Staff were excellent. We also ate there, Scouse to die for. Try the Liverpool gin also. What's not to like 👍👍
We were served quickly and the food was tasty. We all ordered from the sandwich menu and were all happy with our portion size. Very enjoyable.
Good atmosphere and very good food. Service was friendly and fast, would maybe say portions were a little small but enough if have 2 courses.
Lovely place, lovely atmosphere, lovely staff (on duty Sunday 22nd October) lovely chilled prosecco, only downside, the breakfast is a little small! One egg and one sausage??
Beautiful surroundings, friendly service, amazing food. Staff ensured we got the most from our bottomless prosecco without even asking - will be going back again soon. Great way to start my parents first visit to the city!
Quite difficult to find but Great service, good food , very busy. After the meal we sat outside which was very pleasant, shame the seating outside was packed away early.
Unfortunately only 2 members of staff in to do everything, so they were run off there feet, food was cold, would have been nice if hot, staff were polite and very apologetic, also only half a menu as had ran out of many items!
Friendly staff. Absolutely lovely food and plenty of it! I am Vegetarian but the sandwiches were very tasty. Will definitely return. Lovely place also. Thank you.
Wow food was great and a fab atmosphere . Recommend this venue to anyone visiting Liverpool will certainly go back when we return. Charming little place .
Was lovely and fresh would have loved it served with China cups and saucers but was fab would definitely recommend. Easy to get to from our hotel also
This has been a popular restaurant for years! The quality of the food is always good and the service very friendly! I would thoroughly recommend this place.
Fab food. Excellent service. Reallly enjoyed our evening. Neil Fitzmaurice really good host for the quiz. Would recommend friends to go just for the food and service.
Scones were very disappointing as they had jam & cream already on them and lacked taste if was if they were straight out of the fridge! Sandwich choice wasn't brilliant either - my wife doesn't like mustard!
Food was great as usual! Card machine didn't work when we tried to pay, which meant we had to tell the staff what we were paying for, not an issue to us, but if we weren't the honest people we are the restaurant could have missed out!
Whenever we go to Ma Boyle's, it's always busy, so they're obviously doing something right. But just a word of warning: it can get noisy! We opted for the rump steak this trip. Cooked to our liking - perfect, with Ma's own chips. Some fine real ales to accompany the food along with a very agreeable bottle of pinot grigio - will definitely be returning - especially if another Confidential offer comes along.
Ma Boyle's bar was a good place to go for food and drinks after work. The Staff were friendly and the food/cocktails were nice.
Meal was lovely we had the beef Sunday roast dinner. We had to wait a long time for our meal it was really busy dident seem to be enough staff. And also I was really disappointed with the deserts menu, I wanted app,e crumble I was to,d this had run out. That was the only desert I liked on the menu, I had the chocolate brownie this was really dry could have done with chocolate sauce with this. My partner had cheesecake that was like a moose no way was this a cheese cake.
