Went with two friends for lunch on a Saturday. Excellent set menu choice and not out of the way for £16.50 for 2 courses. There is also even more choice on the a la carte menu. Every course was nicely presented and tasted absolutely delicious. One of my favourite restaurants in Wimbledon Village. It definitely had star quality.

We have dined at the Lighthouse about once a year since it opened around twenty years ago, both for special occasions and for a decent meal to be had 'on a whim'. It has never disappointed, and the standard has been consistently high. The ambiance is peaceful and relaxed. There is no obtrusive piped music. The staff are courteous and efficient. The food is delicious and innovative, and not overpriced. The menus always seem to be offering a variety of novel ideas, with inspirations from around the world. Keep it up!

Ambience pleasant staff friendly, starters and deserts good but main course disappointing. A very good interesting choice of starters , we both then chose steak / rosti with spinach which was served in a bowl and overwhelmed with sauce.

Excellent food at reasonable prices. Wine list extensive but overpriced. Pleasant service and not rushed at any time, although since the restaurant was not busy, may not be relevant.

The quality of the food is matched by the quality of the service: both excellent. I thoroughly recommend the Lighthouse; it never lets you down.

Excellent meal beautifully presented and good value. What was exceptional was the kindness and help of the staff for our elderly wheelchair user.A very happy atmosphere with Sunday lunch diners of all ages.

The Lighthouse has a great menu and is an exciting place to eat. However, had to send the pork belly back as it arrived luke warm and the plates were cold. (apparently, the kitchen does not have a plate warmer !). However, the replacement food was very good although by the time this happened our friends had finished their meal. So reasonable experience, but a little disappointing. Menu suggested a lot more than what was delivered.

Delicious lunch with good friends and their one year old. Great service. Complimentary prosecco. Perfect. And all within 250 metres of home. We are so lucky.

The food and ambience at Light House are always excellent. The menu is simple, with classic European combinations done very well. There is also usually a curry on the menu, which has always been well balanced and big on flavour. The atmosphere is informal but elegant. The staff are friendly and attentive and set a wonderful tone for the evening. Overall, a wonderful restaurant for a celebration or a treat.

We had Sunday lunch (party of two), overall I would describe the experience as somewhere between satisfactory and good. Seating arrangement was fine - beware the small table near the entrance, I imagine this would involve sitting in a draught (we requested, and got, a different table). Service was efficient, even though the restaurant appeared to be pretty full - young, friendly staff. A small point.. we were given complimentary bread with olive oil for dipping - a nice touch, but side plates weren't provided. The food - we both had a main course of roast beef plus roast potatoes, broccoli and yorkshire pudding. This is where there's room for improvement - the beef was rare (no options offered) and not great quality (best described as "ok, but a bit tough"), the potatoes were small and fluffy (need to use a more suitable variety of potato), the broccoli was definitely under-cooked, yorkshire pudding was fine. Overall, under-seasoned. It wouldn't take a lot to improve this main course. For afters, we had sorbet and apple strudel - both fine. All washed down with a nice bottle of Italian wine (Primitivo) - they have a good wine list. So, as I say, "ok but could do better".

Really lovely restaurant a little away from the villlage proper, that is clearly a local favourite. Both starters and mains were impressive in taste and the ingredients were notably fresh in quality. Service was very good too and even though we never had pudding or wine, I would certainly be back when next the opportunity arises!

The service is what really spoilt our experience. The food was OK, nothing more, but the inattentiveness and unpleasantness of the two servers made us feel unwelcome.

Sunday lunch , service was average, waitress kept leaning across other guests to deliver plates rather than walk round. Food has dropped a notch probably why it was only half full. I had roast beef which was good, but the cabbage and carrots were both overcooked. Bit disappointing for the price really

Staff was very friendly and helpful, food absolutely delicious! The chicken breast and lamb were cooked perfectly, the hot chocolate mousse was a bit more of what I would call a chocolate fondant but was moreish nevertheless!

Great food, great service, great ambience. I love this restaurant and I have nothing but good things to say about it. At night, it can be quite crammed and a bit noisy but for lunch it is just a fab spot for a high quality meal (and if you don't mind a bit of noise around you when you eat, I would not hesitate to go there for supper either. Always lots of healthy choices too ...

Food and ambiance all excellent as always. Prices are not cheap but fair. What upset us at a recent April 2018 lunch visit was the attitude of the waiters: rather severe, brusque and totally unsmiling, as if what a favour they were doing for us. Particularly galling was the loud sound of one waiter discussing her personal life with the chef through the kitchen hatchway.

We went to The Lighthouse for a special birthday meal for a very elderly lady. The food and drinks were superb, the staff helpful, welcoming and efficient. The atmosphere was excellent and the restaurant very light and spacious with easy access for less mobile diners. The fixed price lunch was excellent value and delicious too.
