Dinner just after opening from Covid lockdown, distancing and precautions (sanitiser, customer temperature) good and food and service like it always was ... good!
Always have our special occasions here. Never disappoints. Staff always pleasant.
A wonderful evening, as always. Always a pleasure to dine here.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was great. Worried that the menus weren't getting wiped down between customers. And we didn't seem to get the 'eat out to help out' money off even though it was a Wednesday?
We came for our second anniversary and we were not disappointed! The service was impeccable, drinks and food were amazing and we felt very safe dining there while the pandemic is still going on. We can't wait to go back.
Great experience. Obviously exciting to be out at present. Very high standards of hygiene and social distancing. Lovely food.
It was really good to dine at Le Vacherin once more. The food and service were wonderful and we will go back for more very soon!
Great to see it reopened, food excellent and friendly buzzy ambience.
Excellent service and food. Great atmosphere. Bringing your own wine made it excellent value for money
The chateaubriand was cooked to perfection. Bernaise sauce very nice but came out after the meal so maybe there was a miscommunication with it. Very disappointed with the quality and variety of drinks.
Another great lunch thanks! Service food and ambiance spot on!
A lovely meal with attentive waiters. The social distancing and safety measures were excellent. How lovely to once again have a delicious well planned and well executed meal with flair. The atmosphere was quieter than pre lockdown because of the distancing but it all worked very well.
Fabulous lunch, lovely to see it open again. A Chiswick institution.
Really exceptional experience from a neighbourhood restaurant. Go for the cheese souffle alone!
A really lovely meal in a delightfully French local restaurant
generally the food was great although my venison was almost room temperature when i got it. Must have been sat for a while before being served as temperature was tepid, albeit the meat was delicious and tender.
Excellent food and service in a wonderful atmosphere of business people mixed with Chiswick locals
Fabulous meal in a perfect setting - thank you very much
Over priced, underwhelming service, pretentious food and zero atmosphere. thanks
Fantastic place, it is a must already. French classics and innovative food.
The restaurant was busy and had a good atmosphere. The staff were efficient and friendly and the food was delicious. We will return.
Great food, great service. Thanks a lot to the team
Revisiting Le Vacherin was delightful, My late husband and I were frequent diners, we enjoyed many wonderful dinners, with first class service in a beautiful setting. Thank you for happy memories, am looking forward to seeing you soon. Anne
Amazing food 10/10 and great service. The staff are very friendly !
We both felt really at home and liked the high quality of the food and service. Thank you so much for a lovely time out!
The food was first class, as always, and Service was perfect.
The food was delicious and well presented. The service was excellent and the restaurant has a very cosy atmosphere
Somehow the service and general interest in client well being is not as it used to be. One guest wanted the fish option but without shellfish. Although he asked for something instead what came was just plain fish with spinach. Offering vegetables, potatoes, a salad or different sauce would have been appreciated - but no deviation was possible even although we were there at a quiet time. Disappointing.
Great food and service perfect . Quiet location . Enjoyed our lunch
A real French treat in Acton. Interesting menu and well presented.
Wonderful food and great service, we all loved it. Thanks
Lovely brasserie, nice ambience, good wine list. Food service too
Absolute 5 star service with incredible food. I was waited on like the king of England, I could not fault the staff or the food. Made for an incredible date night!
Good service, nice ambience and we had a great time enjoyed well prepare foods and with good value too
We had great food and service in a very pleasant environment.
Still like this restaurant however the cheese platter was such a disappointment. It was a while ago I went here but then it was the highlight of the visit. This time I couldnt choose the cheeses myself and they were all far below the level i expected of such a good reatautant. Also the platter for two was just served on single plates. In the past they cut the beef for two next to your table. The foot (except cheese) however was very nice. Love the oysters.
We have been to this restaurant many times over the years and it is a reliable place for a very good meal. Over the years, the menu has developed from being focused around steak to a much broader offer, which I know will please many people. Excellent wine list.
Le Vacherin is a lovely local restaurant with sophisticated food and friendly service.
We enjoyed our Sunday roast and a great restaurant for family and friends get together.
Le Vacherin was recommended by my mother so we took her and my father in law there for Christmas lunch. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. Having pre-ordered the meals, the service was relaxed - no long delays and no rushing.
I chose Le Vacherin as family visiting from the US wanted a good French meal and some good French wine and that is what we got. The food was very good (except I heard afterwards that the steak on the fixed price menu was tough), the staff were attentive and responsive. My only slight criticism was that the kitchen was very slow, we were a group of six but I noticed that other tables also seemed to be waiting for food for a long time. However, we all had an enjoyable evening and I will certainly be returning and would recommend it to anyone who wants good French food.
It seems they added tables to maximise income in the month too Christmas. Too many people in the dining rooms. As the consequence the service was not at the expected level. Not our best time there
Nice food but not really inventive Average service Could have done with a second vegetable on my plate without to have to pay an extra £4.25 for potatoes Value for money to be debated
Good food and service, reasonably priced. Nice place. To be picky though, one of steaks was overcooked (had to go back) and the starter took a long time to arrive (not an issue, but we were aware of it), but would still recommend and will certainly go back.
Good food and service. But waiter suggested 200£ bottle of wine when i asked for a glass of red. I thought that was rude in front of business guest i had taken.
We have been to la vacherin many times, generally great with yesterday being the worst experience. Food is good with dessert a bit burnt, which I am not too bothered. However with two small kids, waited for 30+ min for dessert at dinner was quite stressful, when asking 1st time, the order dropped, waited again, chased 2nd time dessert finally arrived with no apology just when we were about to leave: baby crying toddler bored. When complained about it with the waiter, he didn't give very good attitude nor understanding just said mistake do happen, which was true, however not good enough customer service to be top restaurant. We explained to the manager, he kindly waved us the kids menu. I eventually fleed the restaurant with two very grumpy tired kids after apologising to the couple next table. Fair to say won't be going back for a while, not with kids. I appreciate this is not the type of restaurant for young family. However if you take booking for family, maybe waiter could be more understanding/sensitive when serving stressed out parents trying calming crying baby / toddler due to long wait/dropped orders.
Delightful, intimate, cosy and inexpensive restaurant in one of Chiswick' quieter streets. This restaurant never fails to please serving fabulous French food and offering a wonderful selection of cheeses. Extensive wine list with a selection to suit all. Excellent, attentive staff. Local transport (94 Bus) if required, heading back to London.
OK not as good as in the past. The meal was average but good value for moneu. The wine was good and the service was adequate
Excellent food and service and fantastic value with the groupon voucher we used. We will definitely be back! The Sunday fixed menu was lovely and the steak tartare and creme brûlée were particularly great.
2nd time to this restaurant. Excellent food and great value for money. However, the service this time wasn't quite up to the 1st time. Still, it's worth a try for the tasty food.
