Unique ambience, great food and friendly service. Excellent experience. Would recommend without hesitation to people seeking something different, authentic and fun. Definitely worth the trip
The food was delicious but the we had to wait a long time to be seated, to order and to be served - not very attentive.
The food was good and great customer service! we were eating while they are getting ready for the night which is disturbing, they need to get ready before open for business.
An Outstanding experience in a local Ethiopian atmosphere; food, decoration, staff, ambiance, everything is chill and delicious as it should be. Definitely a highly recommend!
Excellent food, friendly service, all in all one of the best casual dining experiences in London, and fantastic value for money to boot. Highly Recommended.
Asked for a fork 8 times... Got a spoon at the end! Service was one of the worse I have ever seen. Asked for a bottle of water room temperature, 4 times and they had to search for it for 10 minutes in front of us. They try, but with poor results. The food was good but shadowed by the service.
Lovely restaurant but we just didn't like the fermented bread. If you do though, it's a great place to go! Service good and nice atmosphere.
We had passed by Lalibrla many times and it always looked like an interestingplace to go. Finally And on the spur of the moment I booked it having checked out the menu which looked delicious. Lovely friendly service, relaxed homely atmosphere and tasty food
Awful. Waited an hour for food to be told the chef had run out of our food so instead of telling us made something else and thought we wouldn't notice. When the food eventually arrived it was meat when we had ordered a vegan sharing platter as my cousin is vegetarian, luckily not for allergy reasons. They offered a tiny starter as consolation. Then had to wait longer for them to bring out some vegan curries one of which just spinach which we already had some of as luckily it came with the meat platter. The other curry was nice. They also charged for a large bottle of tap water when we just had two small glasses and were never offered a refill. The restaurant was very quiet so cannot believe it was so slow!
Really enjoyed our first Ethiopean meal. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the waiter service was very friendly. We would definitely recommend for a fabulous experience.
This place has such a great atmosphere. The food is amazing and the whole eating experience is unique. The staff were lovely and the food is very reasonably priced.
Warm and friendly reception and service. A pleasantly lively and happy atmosphere, which I didn't necessarily expect on a Monday evening. It was great to taste some authentic Ethiopian spiced dishes again with injera made from teff, not to mention Ethiopian beer and coffee. Very satisfying portions. A minor mistake with the order could have been avoided if the order had been written down. Total bill £60 for two, including service. Would certainly recommend.
Fantastic meal, really tasty and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Lovely Valentine's Day touches and just a great restaurant that we always enjoy
Fab food and great ambience. Food was tasty and great for vegetarians. Will definetly come here again. The whole eating experience was beautiful. Staff were helpful.
Friendly service and amazing food!!atmosphere is great, doesn't even feel like being in London!many choices for vegetarians too and also for gluten free diets. :)
A lovely atmosphere to enjoy really good authentic Ethiopian food ... a real treat with staff that go that extra mile to make the experience well worth it
The wait staff are helpful with the menu, making good suggestions & giving helpful advice. The food was excellent; no over use of sugar or salt to season; just tremendous, tasty variety, from starters & sauces to coffee. The drinks list is wide.
I really liked the food and the atmosphere! I would definitely come back to try the other dishes! Food was tasty and the staff was really kind and helpful. A good experience!
Friendly, welcoming staff and venue. It took a while to get our meal, but portions are generous. It all feels very authentic, and while not all of the dishes were amazing, overall it's a fun experience and great food for sharing. Gets a little messy!
The food was delicious and the restaurant decor makes you feel like you're in Ethopia. Highly recommend the Tibs Beyaynetu and the Meta Premium Beer.
Food good. Service terrible! It was our server but when I asked another one for something it was just and slow. I bit of explaining of the process and food would be needed
Great food and great atmosphere! The food is really delicious and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone looking for something a little bit different
Absolute rubbish service, we were first customers in, had our order taken straight away and 80 mins later still hadn't received our starters. We were told the waiter had failed to print our order. 15 mins after that we questioned when the food would be arriving - the waiter simply shrugged his shoulders and said he had no idea - we left. If your life is precious and you want to make the most of your time, don't waste it here.
Wonderful place, very relaxed and cosy. Wonderful food and good value for money especially the sharing platters. Service not the quickest but I really did not mind
Really great food, lovely decor and very polite staff. It was lovely to try something different. Would definitely go back again! Had a lovely time.
The food was really great. It was all very unique and I would definitely go back again. Prices were reasonable. Location close to the tube.
Great food as always. Lovely and fresh. Service is sometimes a bit slow but it is worth the wait. Always busy here so obviously everyone knows What good food you get
We enjoyed the food and the friendliness of the staff. Thank you so much . I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all my friends.
I went to Lalibela with my date after one of my customers advised me to try it, and I must say I'm very surprised. The atmosphere is very nice, and the food is definitely worth a visit, I loved every bit of it. At some point someone in another table had a coffee ceremony and I think things got a little out of hand with the incense, but apart from that everything was very satisfying and I will visit again.
WE have been going to Lalibela for many years and we really love it. The food is delicious, and the staff are wonderful, really friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is lovely with beautiful decoration. Fully recommended. =)
Food good. Service was warm and friendly, however it was very very slow and they forgot our tea. They then offered it on the house when reminded but we had to leave.
Excellent food, very friendly service, although the food takes quite a while to arrive. We didn't mind but if you're after a quick "get in, eat, and get out", then I don't think it's a good place. However, if you like to enjoy an evening at a leisurely pace then Lalibela is perfect.
We had a brilliant dinner here, quick service and it was really well priced. We shared lentil samosas and citrusy injera for starers although turns out we probably didn't need any as the mains are huge! We had a whole injera bread with pumkpin and lamb tibs, aubergine and chickpea spicy wot and spinach complete with injera rolls to scoop the mains up. Having had no experience of Ethiopian food, I have no idea how authentic it was but it tasted amazing and we ate with our hands so it felt like the rustic experience! For a round of drinks, starters, two mains and a side it cost £40 (£44 with service charge).
Great food and a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and answered all of our queries. We would definitely come back - we had a great evening.
Went down as the two of us for a bit to eat. Lovley atmosphere, great service and food at low cost. We'll be going again.
Great food, great service, good quality for money! Def go back and try something else from the menu! Great experience!!!!highly recomended if you are open to different experience!
Great food as always but slightly slow on the service the night we visited. Super ambience. Gave us low seating so had to request normal table.
Whe ti to lalibela with a big group ,Amazing food and place! Good ti share same food. The staff is friendly and smiley, will be back
The food was really great as usual. The staff were welcoming and helpful. This is definitely my favourite Ethiopian restaurant. We will be there again.
This was a great place. it was very cozy and the food was wonderful. an excellent first experience with Ethiopian cuisine. Very friendly service as well.
Good authentic restaurant with friendly efficient staff. Little expensive but worth it for the quality. A must to book as it gets very busy and only open evenings.
Excellent food and great service. Very accommodating and the staff took the time to answer our questions. Especially loved the cream doro tibs. Liked the rustic decor.
The food was delicious. Service was great and I loved the experience of eating with my hands. I will definitely come back here again. Thank you
Excellent food, and very friendly service. I hadn't eaten at Lalibela for years, but it still has the same great atmosphere. We had a mix of dishes with injera, a lovely variety of flavours. I'm sure we'll go back for more.
Great food, lovely atmosphere, very helpful and friendly staff. Really prefer this place to the other Ethiopian restaurants we have tried in London- definitely coming back!
A quiet restaurant with nice food and ambiance. The price is a bit high for the quality. But we did enjoyed ourselves. Would recommend their beer and coffee.
Food was, as usual, really good. Staff kind. But something was causing havoc in the kitchen and we waited about than 40 minutes for our food, and more than 15 minutes for coffee until we asked again and were told that it hadn't been recorded. At the end staff also forgot to bring us the portable card payment system for several minutes. There was no clear responsibility for the table. Having said that, staff was nice and food was good. But more professionalism would have been nice.
The food was good. The sour flat bread is an acquired taste though. Great atmosphere over all. Service was a little slow but this was probably because the restaurant was packed, which is a good sign. Glad I went.
Fantastic food - great quality and good atmosphere. There's a lot of vegetarian choice as well. I had injera with the spicy chickpea and aubergine dish. Really really tasty!
This was my second visit to Lalibela and the I've had a great experience both times. The food is great and the atmosphere nice. Would recommend to everyone.
