Upon arrival we had to wait by the front door as the waitress was unable to find our booking, this was unfortunate but once seated the evening improved. Service was good, the carbonara was to die for, the only let down about the beautiful panacotta was it was served with a caramel sauce and not the raspberry coulis as listed on the menu, I was also given no explanation of why this happened before or as served.

We eat here around 8 months ago and had a lovely meal. This time we were a disappointed. The food was ok but certainly nothing special. Also the alarm for upstairs kept going off, a little annoying.

Another enjoyable evening at this restaurant and we all tried different dishes and we weren’t disappointed. A loverly setting for an evening out.

This was our second visit to La Piazzetta having moved to Petersfield last November. As per our first visit the food, service and value was excellent. The only negative comment we have was that it was extremely warm in the restaurant. We could see other diners in the restaurant feeling warm as well as they were fanning themselves with the menu. The waiter did open the front door when we mentioned this to him. However, the people near the front door didn't want the door open and closed it again virtually straight away. Maybe some air conditioning would help in future.

The quality of the food on this occasion was not up to the normal standard. The rack of lamb was much too fatty and the dish was only luke warm. The chicken dish however was fine. The caprese salad starter was also inferior - the tomatoes and mozzarella tasted rather old. This was a rather disappointing evening given previous excellent evenings

Food was good as was the service. Very quick at bringing the food out ... almost too quick as soon as starters were done mains came out... a break would have been nice
