Lovely sparkly attractive venue! Really nice layout. Felt very private Service was excellent and the staff lovely and friendly. We tried a selection of light bites some of which were tastier than others but overall food was good. Would recommend

I Love Jam. The staff are great, the food is awesome my only disappointment is that the muggles have messed it up! Jam will know what I mean

I had my daughters 21st birthday afternoon tea yesterday and it was fabulous! The food was delicious and the service from Matt and team was brilliant. I can see why it's so popular and I will definitely return.

Pot of tea was great along with the service staff and surroundings..But sadly that's it . The sandwich rolls not good, salmon wedge ,beef wedge so tough I couldn't eat it,A smear of cheese spread..No egg mayo or ham,or real cheese! Scones ok,small jam jar of sour jam and cream between 2.And finger cakes where less than average.. Disheartened visit really.

The food was brought out on cold plates so didn't stay warm long. Too much hollandaise sauce and overpriced for what it was. The peppermint tea wasn't great as all the leafs leaked from the strainer and so were floating around in the drink

Wonderful gluten free fish and trips. Bread and butter pudding not as tasty as usual slightly burnt at the side. Service on the slow side. Will still go again purely because of the gluten free menu and because past visits have been good.

The place was actually empty when we arrived, and apart from ourselves, remained so for the entire evening. Simply cannot understand why though. The environment was vibrant but not gaudy. The service was excellent (as one might expect considering there was only us to serve), and although we did enjoy their full attention, our waitress was never intrusive. The food we chose was quite simple (burgers and ice cream sundaes), but was presented wonderfully and tasted just as good, for example the burger was gorgeously juicy and the home made chips especially pleased my partner. We both had gluten free options, due to my requirements, but neither of us could really notice any difference. Overall, we were both so impressed with our evening at Jam Cafe and will DEFINITELY visit again the next time we're in Liverpool. I believe the afternoon teas are worth trying.

We visited on Sunday lunchtime, 7 girlfriends for brunch. However, we were extremely disappointed with our overall experience at Jam, not least with the food. To start, the restaurant was cold, then a couple of us ordered coffees (2 flat whites) which were also cold and had to be sent back. We then ordered food, which again was cold despite us each ordering different dishes. We informed the manager, saying we didn't want to send the food back due to not wanting it microwaved. He did apologise and said he would have a word with the chef because there was no excuse to be made for the temperature of the food as the restaurant was far from busy. During this conversation though, he did use some profanity which I found both unprofessional and inappropriate. One good aspect of the service was that my friend didn't like her food and he offered to change it for something else of her choosing. Overall though, I am disappointed. We won't be returning or recommending the restaurant to our friends and family. As a gesture of goodwill, I feel that we could have been offered some drinks, to compensate for our disappointment with the temperature of the food or there could have been a deduction made from the final bill.

booked the restaurant for a works Christmas meal, we were really looking forward to going, to say we where disappointed is an understatement,i ordered the steak ciabatta, which came on a cold pumpkin seeded roll, the steak had a large piece of grizzle through it, a colleague ordered this too, and hers was the same, another colleague ordered vegetable lasagne, which was actually a ratatouille?? bland and flavorless, was the theme throughout the mains!, three of us ordered desserts, thinking they couldn't get them wrong, how wrong we were!! lemon meringue pie, the meringue turned to dust at the touch of a spoon, and we couldn't get a spoon through the pastry, i sent it back to the kitchen, with no apologies to the table, over any of our comments, we definitely will not be going back there!!

Lovely venue. But was very quiet so lacked atmosphere. Shame because it has a lot of potential and should be busier. Location doesn't help. Main meal was nice but desserts weren't great.

Brilliant customer service, very attentive staff, nice afternoon tea, sandwich fillings were overwhelmed by the type of bread used and therefore dry. Stylish interior, tables not too close together, overall a good experience.

It was perhaps unfortunate that there were two large parties in the restaurant so it was very noisy although there weren't many other people there and I had a large booth to myself. The lighting was very bright and even with the retro decor I can't say there was any ambience. I ordered beetroot smoked salmon which honestly didn't taste of anything although the celeriac remoulade was very nice. I ordered chicken stuffed with mushroom and wrapped in Parma Ham. It was very tasty but not hot enough and quite dry so I asked for more of the "jus". The service was excellent considering the two big parties. Not sure I would go back but worth a visit.

I asked for a veggie version and it was delicious. Everything single thing was great, tasty and fresh. I will certainly be back. (this was my 2nd visit). Great restaurant, excellent staff and service.. Will definitely recommend especially as it has a good gluten free menu which was the reason why we chose to go there. We took my mum who can only eat gluten free food, she was in food heaven. It's the first time she's eaten proper fish and chips since her diagnosis almost eight years ago, she's craved for it all this time, so it made her day as the food was fabulous. Will be making many more visits to this restaurant in the future.
