Lunch time the perfect time to go! Love the workers lunch, the daylight and the chairs.
Very good food and atmosphere. We will definitely go again. The only slight issue was the service which we felt was a bit casual. However, overall an excellent restaurant.
Excellent place for lunch meetings - good food, cool environment. The workers lunch is fantastic value and very tasty. The beef curry was wonderfully aromatic and tender. Coffee is very strong.
Great venue... Lovely Staff... Excellent Ambiance! The workers menu is a real deal at £5! Great for a quick lunch or a place to work. Quite popular and not very big so if you want a table you would need to book.
Just fabulous! Love the quirkiness of the build - amazing what you can do with a tired office block. The vibe inside is wonderful, service is friendly & knowledgable - the food & wine is delicious. Great night out - will be visiting again soon.
Great Service, Fine Choice of foods with knowledgable staff and a decent veggie selection. Will be back to try the restaurant in the evening soon. Highly recommended
The loveliest waitress I've ever experienced in the east end and absolutely mind-blowingly delicious food. All within such a unique setting. Loved it, will be back.
The food was absolutely delicious. I was so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The wine was also brilliant and the staff just the right amount of helpful and enthusiastic. Would 100% recommend to anyone. Great setting too. Will be going back
Fun/quirky restaurant with friendly staff and excellent food. Worth a visit
The food and service was excellent! Perfectly done scallops and the lamb steak was tasty! Will be back soon!
The food was excellent but the staff were quite rude and it was very hard to get their attention.
Jago is one of the best dining experiences I've had in London for many years now. Great atmosphere and absolutely outstanding food. Best of the best in regards to exciting combinations of flavours with a spanish flare. We shared about five starters and one main. You must do this too in order to taste more of their dishes. Fantastic wine list too using wine from smaller vineyards focusing on an all-natural process of creation without additives to influence the flavours. I will be going back very soon.
I enjoyed a great dining experience at Jagos in the evening of 21st April 2015. Top notch food which was freshly cooked to our taste. Very attentive and knowledegable staff who looked after us really well and a lovely evening atmosphere with the music at just the right level. Finishing everthing off with their excellent selection of cheeses we left very satisifed but no overfaced. Would recommend !
very quiet when we went at 8pm on a tuesday--lacked atmosphere --if it was busy then would have been better food was good but average on some dishes wine that was recommended was poor but relaxing great design
Delicious cocktails at the funky looking bar (vodka martini & negroni) before being seated in the restaurant. Very buzzy but we didn't feel crammed in. We ordered a whole heap of starters to share (beetroot polenta, croquettes - must order these!!) So tasty! still thinking of them today... get yourself down there - wont be disappointed!
Cool ambience, good service and reasonably-priced bottles of wine. Food was good. I would recommend.
I really love this place and will keep coming back again and again. Beautiful space, inventive dishes and fun friendly staff. Great vegetarian options too.
Excellent food in a convivial atmosphere, staff are very friendly and attentive. Go and try it for yourself value for money, we each had 2 "plates" which was sufficient for us.
Jago is a lovely restaurant in a very unique place. The interior design is very interesting and contributes to made it very welcoming. The food is a kind of Ottolenghi, fresh products, lots of vegetables and plenty of tasty fresh herbs. Besides the menu, they prepare at least four different dishes everyday. If you like to have variety in your plate, they offer the possibility to combine portions of those dishes. Lovely.
A fabulous restaurant. Great food, VERY quirky layout and wonderful staff. Definitely recommend for dinner with friends or a fun date! Absolutely love the clear roof, really great atmosphere.
Fantastic food and wine. Great foodie hangout and will be back soon
Food is fantastic. Staff are nice and relaxed. Setting is super cool
Food was way too overpriced and staff was too busy talking between each other to attend us. won't be visiting again. Waste of time and money
It is a truly amazing space. Service is lovely and food really nice. All in all had a really good time in relaxed atmosphere without unnecessary fuss.
Lovely space, the staff are very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was excellent, simple well balanced ingredients but we would have liked a few more vegetable options to balance out the richness of the other dishes.
Really great food we shared 4 plates, and enjoyed all of them.
Food was simple and well executed, wine was excellent, overall good value. Dessert was a relative weak point with a rock-hard frozen cheesecake, which was like eating a large ice cube. Overall really good addition to the neighbourhood and I even liked the Austin Powers style interior.
Delicious food and totally amazing venue! I will definitely go back. I love how light and open it feels. Service was exceptional. Puddings epic. My vegetarian friend was v happy too.
Second visit to jago. Delicious food, great service and atmosphere.
It is a lovely experience sitting in the conservatory-like setting here. Most excellent advice on wine from Hugh and delicious food especially the scallops, octopus and haddock. The orange cake was as ever fabulous and we missed the frozen cheesecake this time around.
Lovely, good value and 'fine-dining' quality. Fun, 70's futurist decor. Good value wine and other drinks as well especially by London standards. Unpasteurized cheese delicious and unusual.
It wasn't too busy (there was an event going on in the bar which was quite loud though) & we waited for a while having only been given water (it took about 15 mins to get a menu ). We tried to get the waitresses attention who said she'd be with us shortly. After 30 mins, we left as were hungry & service is all part of the experience. Shame as menu looked good
Limited menu, but flavoursome food. Menu not enticing enough and doesn't have enough simple choices for us to visit again...
Interesting food - I had the veal goulash as a main, and my companion the hake with broccoli - both very tasty though not huge portions so if you like a large plateful maybe not so good. Overall it was a fun buzzy place offering different food to many of the restaurants in the Brick Lane area. We liked the interesting Orange decor - the world seemed very grey and gloomy after an hour or so in Jago's.
Excellent service. Innovative decor. Cool venue. Great food. This is a winner.
Food was amazing! Different atmosphere then I was expecting - but overall great after work dinner! Service was a bit hit and miss -very knowledgeable staff, but I think it was busier then expected so hard at times to get their attention. Otherwise- great night out!
Fantastic venue, very clean, modern and funky surroundings. Take a seat at the bar and enjoy bar foods and alcohol. Cocktail list small but a nice selection (providing you're not a cocktail connoisseur) Food portions are large for a la carte menu, all cooked to perfection! Great staff and service, will definitely be going again for their Breakfast menu!
Food was amazing, cannot note any faults with the flavours or presentation. Service was not so inviting, front of house stuff seemed too 'cool' to smile and too busy to serve customers, we waited almost 30 mins for our plates to be removed and receive the desserts menu, and a further 15 mins for the bill. I would definitely recommend the food but it may have to be a take away.
Attentive service, nice atmosphere, good selection of interesting wines, starter portions rather small, but tasty. A good venue for a large group of people seeking to dine and talk.
Great atmosphere and lovely food, not too loud and nice for a bug group.
Good food, good cocktails, good atmosphere. The restaurant was prettt much empty, which surprised us considering that eas the only time slot available.
Loved the food and the restaurant too, but it felt like something was missing. Possibly more energy from the staff team.
Food was nice. Good value for money. Retro atmosphere was great. Service was great.
Very nice evening at Jago. Interior decor very retro but chilled. Excellent service and good wine. Food was good quality and even though time out says the veal cheek is the best plate, it's definitely the braised duck and red cabbage.
Gorgeous, healthy and colourful food. Stylish and querky restaurant. Better service would have earned them a 6!
Amazing place, amazing staff and the food delicious! I will come Back
The food was very nice we had the brisket which was delicious, the service was also very good the staff were very informative and the venue was very cool
Very quirk place, oddly no name anywhere so weren't sure we were in the right place! Began with my friend rather hurriedly ordering a glass of wine from the top selection listed, which turned out t be vile - we asked the waitress what it was and she said maybe a dessert wine but she didn't know. We said it was awful, it really did taste terrible, and she just took it away without offering to refund. We placed our order, and after 30minutes asked where it was, and it turned out the order hadn't made it to the kitchen! We were given our bottle of wine we had ordered on the house by way of apology, and when the food did arrive it was delicious. Grilled cheese and salt beef were amazing, veal goulash good too. Great food, odd location, almost a long tube attached to what is peraps an office? Canteen? Who knows? and not very clued up staff made for a slightly surreal experience. Toilets were overflowing and not very pleasant. Nice to try, but we won't be returning.
Amazing! Fantastic food, great atmosphere and we were looked after wonderfully.
It was a lovely change to your usual restaurant atmosphere. However it was a bit chilly due to the slats in the bench running along the perspex outer layer. The food however was simple, but delicious. Really enjoyed my evening here. Will be back.
