Wonderful restaurant and lovely staff . I go often as I really enjoy the variety of menu options and meals are delicious. Would highly recommend.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff! The food was great! Steak was actually medium rare like I asked. Try the Pecan Pie! It was incredible and reasonably priced
Great restaurant. Lovely location. Excellent, attentive waiting staff who were friendly & amiable. J&R has great menu choices. Enjoyed pulled pork in a bun, with triple cooked fries. The blackberry & apple crumbler with custard is delicious too! Well worth a visit & not overly expensive.
Generally good although chips didn't seem recently cooked. Peppered squid staters tasty and steak well cooked. Good service and pleasant wines. Nice atmosphere and excellent location.
Group of 7 really enjoyed our visit. All food was really good, desserts were amazing! Service was quick enough and did not feel rushed through the dinner
We arrived at the restaurant and were greeted immediately and given our choice of tables. The restaurant was extremely quiet for a Friday as it was 'Good Friday'. We were then waited on, with suggestions offered. The waiter was timely and polite. The food and drinks were both good and we would not hesitate to return.
Friendly & efficient staff. Food was fast & very tasty. Nice decor & the restaurant was well laid out, so every table had their own space. Will definitely visit again.
The service was great. The food was tasty generally but the chicken burger and the ribs were a little over cooked. All in all good.
Food was great. Service was average. One of the waiters opened a bottle of red wine incorrectly and therefore there were pieces of cork in the wine. He challenged us when we asked for a new bottle as he said the wine wasn't corked. Would go back for the food
The service was very good and friendly and we had a very nice table outside. Two of us selected the duck salad which supposedly had smoked duck breast and a leg of duck. There were indeed a few slices of duck breast however, no leg of duck. Just a few morsels of crispy duck presumably from the leg. At nearly £13 for a main course salad certainly not good value.
Fabulous brunch. Lots on the menu suitable for young kids.
Avacado was hard, Pancakes were cold. Plates were not warmed. Farmers breakfast arrived without the beanz. Not the best. I prefer the food and service at the Guildford branch even though when visiting Guildford the restaurant was full. There were only two tables booked at Kingston. Very Disappointing, Especially after i recommended you.
Everything was good EXCEPT the food. FOur of us went for Sunday brunch and all four different dishes were so bad that we left most of it. The server cleared the table and didn't even ask what was Wrong with the food. Paid and left - will not be going back.
Charming little restaurant located by the the riverside. Limited menu so if you don’t like steak or burgers your in trouble. Good selection of drinks although definitely steer clear of the beer on tap. A great place to eat out with friends in a low key atmosphere with friendly service.
It pains me to say this, since we had high hopes for this attractive restaurant that serves up one of our favourite styles of food, but our visit was quite a disappointment. We dropped in for a small, quick lunch of a few shared starters: buffalo wings, burnt end crockettes and salt & pepper calimari. It was pretty tricky to fish out the chicken from a dearth of rather over-fried batter on the wings; the 'burnt ends' crockettes tasted nothing like anything much - certainly not burnt ends, and the very average salt & pepper calimari didn't seem to have anything to do with salt & pepper about them. The service was excellent and the waiter so pleasant that, along with the fact we didn't have time to re-order, we made no complaints and simply left the majority of the meal on the table. Hopefully this was just a hiccup for this place that promises so much, but failed to walk the walk on this occasion.
They said they couldn't serve any food to my brother who has food allergies so we couldn't eat there unfortunately. This was despite the fact he has previously eaten at a different branch of Jackson & Rye.
The chicken we had in the burger was so tiny that it wasn't enjoyable as all we could taste was the lettuce and coleslaw. Really disappointed in the size of the chicken.
Good hamburgers and skinny chips. Excellent service. Wine rather pricey. The location is great by the river, but there are many similar restaurants close by and not much difference. But my friends rated this more highly than Cote.
Great service - my steak was a luke warm - they changed it straight away and also took it off the bill - that is what I call good customer service. Staff fantastic.
