Jackson and Rye - City

the best staff in any restaurant! I Would recommend to everyone. The food was delivered at the perfect time. I would only flaw the beers, as they were all quite bland and unheard of. Other than that this restaurant is amazing!!!!

The service was efficient, staff were polite and knowledgeable about the menu and the food was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be returning here again!

Lovely food. Excellent waiting staff. Nice place generally. The value is, perhaps, the only reason it didn't score a six out of six, but no real qualms.

Had a meat platter, it was tasty especially the fried chicken wings. The brisket & rubs had a lovely Smokey taste if not a little dry

Good service, environment and waiting time. The burgers are big and taste nice. The portion of Starters are also enough. It's a good place to meet friends and have a party.

The buttermilk chicken burger was delicious and the chips were amazing. Lovely meal. A bit weird that they serve beer in 2/3 pints (I'd prefer a full pint!). But the beer was tasty nonetheless. T

Great menu with lots of BBQ favourites. Healthy options for those that prefer such things. Super cocktails too - I recommend the Illegal Negroni especially!

Fab venue, good food & service - the only down side, it was a bit too cold in the restaurant. Other than that would definitely go back.

Good service and good food in a nice and not too noisy environment! My ribs were prepared to perfection and yhe selection of side dishes is good enough to satisfy most people. Eventually the bill also was very reasonableso....i will be back!

The filter coffee that you make yourself overflowed spilling all over the place. The food order was messed up, it turned up cold and service was with a frown. I will not be going back in a hurry.

Venue is good. Waiting staff very pleasant, but not attentive enough. The party all agreed their main dishes were good. The disappointment was the starter, New England chowder. For anyone that has had this staple in New England, choose something else.

The food was very average, service was terrible. The staff are not at all equipped to deal with the number of tables. For us and the tables around is so many orders were forgotten. For the City of London so many better options. Will not return

We had a lunch time booking and although the restaurant was busy our food was served fairly quickly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had the crispy duck salad and it was very nice. I could see other meals looked equally nice. Would recommend this restaurant.

Booked a table for some brunch with some friends and will definitely be doing that again. Liked the thick maple bacon and the fact the sausage was a patty so no horrible skin. Good value as well and friendly service.

The food was very good - my steak was cooked perfectly, which can be difficult sometimes. The waiters were also very nice and always around.

All very good as usual except I would not recommend the shrimp burger; the shrimp are rather flavourless and it is a messy burger to grapple with.

Sat in the bar before meal, not the most attentive bar staff. Waitress very good at the table. Starters were good, one of the mains was good, the other not good - and manager took off the bill. There was a change of shift while we were there, lots of chatting/hugging etc which possibly shouldn't be done in the main bar/restaurant. Otherwise a nice atmosphere and good setting.

Good food and service we all enjoyed our evening. We had a selection of starters and all had burgers for main and they all really tasty.

Excellent food, friendly service and would definitely go again. Does get loud at busy times but a great place to catch up with friends and in the non busy periods to meet business acquaintances for a meeting.

First visit, hearty US style grub. Short rib was very good. Excellent and charming tableservice, extended table from 2 to 3 on a busy day.

This was the first time I had been to your restaurant. The food was excellent but the service was quite slow considering it was lunch time in the City.

Great food,especially the steak, and good service. Never felt rushed to leave the table. Maybe a bit noisy, but a good place to go for lunch or dinner. I will be going back soon.

I came to jackson and rye for my 20th birthday with family and i was extremely disapointed. When we first arrived, i ordered a sex on the beach (as it said on the drinks menu you can order up any classic cocktail even if it wasnt on the menu) and the lady i was served by said they couldnt do it in a very rude and blunt manner even though there menu stated otherwise. We then ordered to then find when our food came that everything was covered and way to many spices and chillis. It was over powering and incredibly spicy which just took all of the flAvour out of the food. This completely ruined my meal and i left over half of it, as did the rest of my party! Then to top it all off, the waiter was useless! He took about 25mins to serve us drinks at the table during our meal, he was reluctant at giving us water which also took him about 40mins to finally give us any! He was rude and wasnt bothered about his customers. He didnt check on our food and when he was clearing didnt say a word either. It ruined my birthday and needless to say we didnt stay for desert or more drinks and we werent happy at all. I wont be coming back and neither will any of my party. Awful.

Fast and attentive service and excellent food! The only downside is that I don't like it when you feel like waiting staff are trying to force you to buy other things like nibbles and sides.

Easy to book, good service, tasty food. Being a Monday night it wasn't too busy so our food came out nice and quickly (though not so quickly that we felt rushed). Will definitely be back!

I have been three times and had blackened cod and cajun chicken. Both good although the cod left me hungry so choose a starter or more sides if you want to be full. Enthusiastic service and US vibe. Large enough to talk business.

Great new place in The City. Reasonably priced and a good range of food and drinks. Fast service. The 2 hour slot was just fine.
