Jackson and Rye - City

The food is excellent and staff really helpful and attentative. My only frustration is that you cant buy a pint of peer and insfead get 2/3 of a pint but are charged the price if a pint of beer

Excellent attentive service, all staff very smiley, happy and friendly. Great choice of food/drink - been to Jackson & Rye a number of times, and I am never disappointed - thank you for making me feel so welcome.

Top restaurant for a lunchtime meet, hot food and no fuss service and not expensive. My guest was offered a free taste of one of the drinks to see if he liked it before deciding. I will be back

Good deal, good food, lovely atmosphere; cool and airy, background music not too loud. Definitely visit again and order from main menu as we had the 4th July set menu 2 4 £20 or 3 4 £25.

We had a lovely breakfast at Jackson + Rye. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. The bill arrived promptly after we asked for it.

Good service as usual, had two nice beers and the steaks we had were perfectly cooked. We were served straight away and although it was busy, the waiters were attentive. I come here once a month at least and always impressed.

Good food and very friendly service. The choice of Whiskey is phenomenal. We shall definitely be visiting again in the near future. Order the longest cooked item on the menu!

Very attentive service. Our food took 30 minutes to come out and as an apology we got a free bottle of the wine we were drinking. Great food too!

Great place. Grown up tex mex type restaurant and not loud and over crowded like a lot of city restaurants. Staff and service really good. Great choice of food and drinks. Definitely be back again soon.

Amazing American cuisine, try the really interesting take on the clam chowder, also the Cajun spiced chicken was really good and the service (to be fair it was an off-peak hour) was spot on. also interesting beer selection, through enjoyed the experience.

Great drinks, lovely décor and atmosphere. Really pleased with the food the buttermilk chicken is a must try. for a group of 6 the food was ordered and cooked relatively quick and the staff were helpful.

Lovely food, I would definitely recommend the pulled pork croquets and the ribs! The atmosphere was lovely and food and drink very reasonably priced. Would come back!

A number of times today we wanted assistance and three members of staff were just standing by the door and the establishment was not even busy. The waiting and serving staff were good if a bit slow and this is where your "hosts" could step in, the establishment wasn't even busy. My meal was good but I note those who had burgers recognised the buns had been frozen as they disintegrated on contact and the chicken portions were meagre, The chips were surprisingly hard and it was a shame only ketchup and mayo were the only sauces on offer. Won't write you off yet and will give this another go

Brilliant place, would come again. We tried all cocktails on the menu, which were delicious. The appetizers were great also. The staff were efficient and friendly.

I like Jackson + Rye, it has a good atmosphere and great customer service. Had lunch today and was pleased with the food, the linguine was a little oily but I'll know for next time, but my friends burger looked great.

Generally great, good food, but the menu doesn't change that much and has a limited veggie offer. Service a little 'brusque' or maybe I'm misreading the type of restaurant it is.

Nice restaurant, good atmosphere and service, the truffle mac & cheese was excellent, unfortunately the steaks were a little over cooked. Would give another go but probably avoid the steak.

Party of 6 for breakfast. The restaurant was quiet but still maintained a good ambience. Staff were friendly and service was prompt. Well worth a visit.

First time visiting here. Had good air con and atmosphere. Nicely chilled white wine. Very fast and friendly service and good food. Will return another time.

Good food and great atmosphere. Went in the evening this time. Cocktails were great. The only disappointment was the fact that 2 of us ordered the short rib and there was only 1 left. It was also only about 7pm so surprising this happened. Will definitely go back

Food came out very quickly at a busy lunchtime. It was piping hot and delicious. The only slight issue was the drinks came out after the food (first time for everything!). Highly recommend the staff were lovely, nice space between tables.

Nice atmosphere and nice staff though it was difficult to get their attention. Food was nice as well, can't fault it. We had eggs florentine and pancakes and both were delicious.

It was ok. The food - quinoa salad - was a bit tasteless and there was a lot of confusion over the meaning of 'dairy free'. My previous experiences at J&R were much better.

Four of us had dinner on a busy Friday evening but didn't feel at all rushed. Our server was friendly and warm as well as efficient. We all had steaks of differing kinds and all were cooked to our liking and the quality was good. Desserts were enjoyable too, especially the cheesecake. This was our first visit and won't be our last. Happy to recommend this restaurant.

Lovely food. Excellent waiting staff. Nice place generally. The value is, perhaps, the only reason it didn't score a six out of six, but no real qualms.

We all had a good night but Lager on tap is limited to just 1 and not sure about 2/3 pint glasses or the next best was a 2 pint jug. Also no cider here. Everyone loved the food though.
