Jackson and Rye - City

Food and service was great, the steak was perfect although the BBQ Board look amazing and I had a little bit of food envy. We will go again!

We were welcomed in on arrival, served by some very friendly and upbeat staff, service was good and the food enjoyable. I would particularly recommend the pulled pork starter and the J&R Burger or any of the steak options.

Good food, went for breakfast and there was a lot of chose. Great service,very attentive staff but not too overwhelming. We were a party of 5 and none of us were disappointed, would definitely go back.

Great venue, great atmosphere - lively and buzzy, great service, and the food was fabulous - the ribs were to die for! We will be back!

unfortunately, parts of our breakfast arrived cold (potatoes, sausage) and were sent back. then a new breakfast arrived but other items (eggs, tomatoes) were cold!! The drinks were deducted from the bill. But not sure if we will go for breakfast at J & R City again.

would have been a 6 but the white wine was not cold enough and they had run out of the short beef rib by 7.30.

As it is Christmas a small group of us go for a Christmas Breakfast. Unfortunately J&R do not serve alcohol until 10am, even thought they have Bloody Marys on the Breakfast Menu. Soon as we were informed that no bubbles were available we got the bill for our Tea/coffee etc and headed to Brown's that do have a licence for 8am alcohol. Shame - but being in the City J&R need to sort this out otherwise they will not last long.

Excellent staff from bar staff to waiters / waitresses. Great food. Nice atmosphere. Lovely evening considering there were a number of Christmas dos going on.

Very relaxed atmosphere. We had a very enjoyable lunch. The feed was excellent and the cocktails where better. Service was a little slow but this did not effect the afternoon

Good quality food, reasonable prices. Great staff and service. Restaurant looks beautiful! Between us we had salads and burgers and all meals were very good.

Service excellent and staff polite and cheerful. Food bland and small portions. Came away feeling hungry! A nice environment if a little noisy for talking.

Service as very slow and the restraint wasn't busy yet. Food took 45 minutes and there were only 2 others in The restaraunt. Ended up being late getting back to work

celebrated my boyfriends birthday here last night, we had such a good night, excellent service, excellent food brilliant atmosphere, the staff were so helpful. We will be coming again before the end of this year.

Had a lovely time at Jackson & Rye last night, staff were warm and friendly, service was quick but not rushed and the food was delicious! Will be returning again for sure!

Had a really good meal at Jackson rye city. A group of us each had a starter and main each and the food arrived in a timely manner. All dishes were a good size and really tasty. The short rib of beef was especially nice.

Good menu with a range of different foods burgers, salads, steak and fish. Enjoyable meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd visit Jackson and Rye again.

Very good food. Had the rib eye steak with chips my friend had the burger with chips and some green slaw on the side. Green slaw was my least favourite thing as it had gherkins of in it. Would be good if it was offered without. Chips are not from a frozen packet. Real homemade chips Very attentive staff. Would definitely go there again.

Great restaurant for the location and price. A wide ranging menu to suit all tastes. Limited veggie options though. Make sure you try the cocktails!

Service great - cannot fault it at all. Very disappointing they had so much of the menu unavailable. We checked menu for chicken and non red meat options for this reason.

service was very poor, we had to send back our main course as the ribs and brisket were not warm and had to ask 3 times to get another beer

The food was very nice, the service was good and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. We were there for breakfast but it seems like a good place for lunch and dinner too.

The service was slow. Our waiter took the order of half the table and forgot the other half. The food came out at different times (one person's main arrived when we were eating our starters). The steaks were not cooked to how they were requested. We will not be returning.

Great food, friendly staff and really nice atmosphere - perfect for a quick business lunch or more leisurely catching up with friends. Definitely worth a visit.

This is the first time I have visited Jackson & Rye in the City. I attended with a group of 7 and we were really impressed with the service, quality of food and the prices. I will definitely recommend to other friends and work colleagues and will be booking to visit again as I enjoyed it so much. Thank you.

Decent food and nice setting. Waiting staff are very friendly if perhaps a little quick to ask for drinks orders as we had just sat down.

Always a great place to go for coffee, drinks, breakfast or lunch and the manager is always so friendly and has a good group working with her.

Vegetarian options very poor. Not all vegetarians like mushrooms and the only veggie main was mushroom risotto - also not suitable for gluten free vegetarians Gluten free options need to be chosen using a scruffy poly folder alongside the menu No alcohol free beer options Very slow service despite being a quiet night. Took an hour to be served our mains.

Good simple food but too much garlic in the risotto. Good pudding. Service is lovely and very helpful. No wait. Great space, not too noisy.

Their farmers breakfast is made even better by a side of sliced avocado and watercress! Reasonably priced and consistency good, this is our first port of call for a team lunch.

Went there one lunchtime. I had the chicken burger with some sweet potato fries. A pretty good burger and decent value. And the service was great.

Had to send my steak back as it was a little undercooked for my liking. It came back perfect and the staff could not be any more apologetic. Fantastic service.

Great location, always really good service and the quinoa burger is just delicious! Buttermilk chicken also a hit. I strongly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

I had a chicken burger and my guest had a cheese burger. Both were very good and we both particularly enjoyed the chips. Nice atmosphere.
