Lovely chicken salad but chicken slightly overcooked hence 5 rather than 6. service good and pleasant venue for lunch. Would have liked less music though.
Great food, great feel to place, staff not the best didn't listen and not very friendly which was a shame, but would definitely go there again! ,
Food and drink was overpriced for what it was. Lamb was very rare and fatty. Waitress was efficient though and there was a friendly service.
Very good service throughout. Main courses were good, but the main salad dishes were disappointing. Deserts were good. The Chiswick restaurant is well organised and a good atmosphere.
Excellent service. Great food. Was our first time there and would definitely go back. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Added surprise was the birthday dessert they gave my mum - it made her day.
Very lovely restaurant, food amazing, service and atmosphere. Definitely coming back.
The portion size is quite small and service was slow not to mention there was no avocado in my chicken & avocado salad. We won't be returning.
Had a nice meal. The table could have been bigger and the waitress could have been more attentive. more words needed to post this review.
Staff were great but the food was very disappointing ! Not sure I’d return there in a hurry which is a shame as have been before several times and it’s been great .
Staff were very friendly and even though the restaurant was busy the service was brilliant. Food is excellent too. Very happy. Had a great night.
Myself and several friends had a lovely time, the staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. We didn't pay the service charge which does not reflect the service we received, more the fact we're students! Definitely would come back.
Nice quiet and cosy bistro. Good for a business catch up meeting. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Simple menu. Quality food. And another four words.
Great food and fast service! Only downside was we were seated right beside the greeter podium so the table was a bit cramped at times.
Decent food - although when you look at the menu it feels like decent prices but when dishes arrived, it felt a bit overpriced. Most of it was delicious but the presentation and some of the portion sizes were a bit off. Lovely wine list and super cocktails. Service was dreadful. We had a waitress who was so loud, brash and over the top that it was quite uncomfortable. In her defence they seemed so understaffed that she couldn't cope with the huge area she was manning on her own. But that didn't excuse the fact that she looked like she might pass out from a caffeine overdose. Could have been amazing but was actually a little disappointing.
The food was exceleent and there was a high quality of service. I would definitely recommend eating their and I will hope to visit there soon.
Very good meal, service and atmosphere. Apple tart pudding base was a bit tough, otherwise all perfect. Will certainly be going back again in the future.
I had a lovely evening. The ambiance is always good, the service was attentive and fast and friendly. Food was great although it would have been nice to have a dinner deal menu but it wouldnt stop me from coming back.
Jackson +Rye was wonderfully accommodating for our large party of Americans at Thanksgiving. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Many thanks to them all for everything!
Fantastic atmosphere, great service and perfect food. Good vegetarian options
Food was great ad were the drinks however while food cane out really quickly drinks took quite a while (usually it's the other easy round!)
Great food, service and atmosphere. Altogether a very enjoyable evening. The staff were very attentive and made us feel very welcome. We are looking forward to going back again soon.
Really lovely ambience on the top floor, really tasty food as well. Delicious steak and puddings. Totally recommended. Don't forget to try the cocktails. The menu has some delicious and tempting options
Beautiful, traditional, French-inspired interior. We ate upstairs on elegant banquettes. The service was warm and smiling without being over familiar. We were able to sample the wines before making a choice - an excellent Riesling prevailed. The food was good but not remarkable. The amount of actual squid (as opposed to bread crumb) in the £7.50 salt and pepper squid was somewhat disappointing, and my £28.50 bone-on rob steak was perfectly cooked but stone cold. No no - one wants a reheated medium rare steak so I got on with it. The overall experience was charming - a birthday treat. A note on noise. We arrived at 7.30 at left the table at 9.30. For most of that time the atmosphere was lightly chatty. Then two tables filled with those ghastly types who are now all too common, who feel they need to demonstrate to the whole restaurant what a marvellous time they are having by guffawing, braying and screeching and each other's every word. What can you do?
Great service and we were well loooed after by our waitress. Food was good and then restaurant was very accommodating of the kids. Thanks for a good night
The place is quite pretty and the staff is very nice and helpful. We went there for breakfast and got the pancakes. They were quite good, even though I prefer them fluffier and thicker.
Probably the worst service i have every experienced! We ordered drinks which arrived 50 minutes after we ordered them, our meals arrived before our drinks! We sat with empty plates infront of us for 20 minutes, they then removed two of a party of five and took ten further minutes to remove the rest. The restaurant was not that busy, embarrassing as we had pushed our friends to go, saying how good it had been previously. Very disappointed!!!
We had brunch here to celebrate a birthday and would certainly recommend it to anyone. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and it was very reasonably-priced as well!
Great experience, would recommend. Waiting staff good, and food amazing! Would come here again. Good value for money and central location in Chiswick. Good choice on menu
Very nice food in a nice atmosphere. Only slight problem is that the prices can be quite steep for what you get, but overall the food was very good.
Lovely evening. Only marked down as one of the main courses was forgotten and then arrived undercooked in a rush. Other than that food was delicious and the staff were attentive and friendly.
I found there to be good service. Dinner was delicious. Will definitely look to return for another meal at Jackson and Rye in Chiswick. Recommended.
Great decor and atmosphere. My friends eggs were a bit over poached but they quickly cooked up new ones with a runny middle so I would recommend making sure you specify how you would like your eggs done. My salmon and scrambled eggs were perfect!
Service with a smile and very friendly which added to a great night. Great service - although some of the food could of been better. Ribs were slightly overcooked as with the steak but enjoyed the night and stayed still closing time.
Loved the look of the brunch menu but my experience here was a disappointing. Service was slow and they were stingy with the amount of berries and creme fraiche on my Berries Pancake. Chiswick is full of good brunch options so Jackson and Rye need to raise their game I reckon.
Pretty good food (buttermilk was OK but the pulled pork has was excellent) and service was good and friendly if a little slow in clearing plates and checking for table overload!
Really sad to say as I do enjoy going to Jackson and Rye. Poor service on this occasion, short staffed and only apologised for service being slow after I complained that our parking was running out.
Great service. The waitress was fantastic and very attentive. Food was good though eggs came a bit cold. A very filling meal - happy Sunday!
The staff were cheerful ,efficient and friendly and helped to provide a very pleasant outing. A wider choice of mains would make me a much more. more regular customer
Setting nice, the service great and the food ok. Good choice of cocktails too. Good value for money as well. Better for kids and families.
Not bad, but a catalogue of small things that became frustrating - drinks being missed and having to be chased, starters missed by the kitchen so the table had to eat in shifts, running out of a standard type of beer. Waitress was trying and we got a free round to apologise, but needs to sharpen up. Food was good but not stellar. Overall disappointing for a birthday meal on a Saturday night when they were not hugely busy.
Lack of kitchen staff was appalling and put a big strain on FOH.. food was fine when it eventually arrived, you need to sort this out now !
Our first time to visit, food was 10:10! Great food, service was brilliant, would've stayed longer and probably with a couple more bottles of wine but didn't have cheese and biscuits on menu. Apart from that everything was first class! When Adele announces her next performance, we will come back and without a doubt come back here for lunch again. PLEASE GET SOME CHEESE IN.
The food was ok but not in comparison to similar restaurants in London and for the price. They seemed short staffed which was surprising considering it was 4th july and you'd expect it to be busy. Not all the food on the menu was available and we had to wait a while for service. This was down to the shortage of staff rather than the staff themselves. Some items didn't come out and the same time as the rest of the meal but a free drink was offered to compensate for this. I wouldn't be in a hurry to return.
Nice staff and food was nice. Cocktail list was different and not that great. Decor was lovely and prices not too bad. My food was lukewarm but tasted ok.
This was our second visit to Jackson and Rye Chiswick branch and again the staff were great, food good and service great too. A nice place for a Sunday Brunch - or even just a nifty cocktail or two.
Fantastic staff! Friendly, interesting, with thorough knowledge of their menu. Food was tasty and the lager was ice cold on the hot day we were there. Brisket was so tender it literally fell apart - no need for a knife. Peanut butter martini was a wow! Only word of warning, if you are there on a hot day in June, you may want to avoid the outside row of seating closest to the street as the sun was very hot from 3 to 6. As we don't have that many days of sunshine, you may not mind.
Booked this on a recommendation sadly poor service and less than inspiring food promises way more than it delivered ... Really disappointed 😞 it won't be on our list again
Unfortunately the specific pre booked table had been given to another couple. (I had visited the restaurant a few days earlier to check on layout and specified a particular table) However I was given a complimentary glass of champagne!! Food and service was good and I will go there again.
Such a huge improvement since it changed hands, a far more interesting menu and better food, this would have been a six if there had been more oomph to the seafood gumbo, and more than just three measly prawns.
Nice food - very good and friendly service . Lovely place with a relaxing decor . Limited menu during the day but consistent and reasonable value
