Quite a luke warm welcome. The Thai Curry was just OK, with the chichen dry. It seemed it was added to the sauce just before it came to me. The sticky toffee pudding was lovely - really nice light sponge. Decadent. Staff was OK, but a bit disengaged.

Pleasant reception from the bar staff, comfortable surroundings, good food and wine with great service in a cosy village pub, Shangri-la!

Booked the table online one hour before arriving. Lovely table. Food excellent: pate & mushrooms to start; fish (whale!) & chips & chicken kiev; sticky toffee pud & lemon torte - all excellent. Attentive but not overbearing service as always. We'll be back 😀

We went for a late Sunday Lunch. At first we were a little concerned that a large group of walkers were congregating near to our table, making it feel a bit crowded. The staff were realised that it was not ideal and made efforts to get the group to their dining table early. Problem soon solved. Food as usual was very good and the service friendly and welcoming.

Wonderful country location in a quaint Leicestershire village. The food was excellent and no pressure between course. Great atmosphere and lovely ambience.

Had a fantastic time at Hercules! The restaurant was full but even though the tables are reasonably close we didn't feel overlooked or as though we had to shout. The food and drinks were excellent. The service was relaxed and prompt, nice to have a chat with the chef towards the end of the evening. The food isn't cheap but the Hercules is not "standard" pub grub, presentation and flavours were lovely! Looking forward to the next opportunity to dine there.

Fabulous food, fabulous host, fabulous experience. The Hercules Revived is like a pair of comfy slippers, very homely and comfortable. It is a jewel in the crown of Sutton cheney.

Excellent service,piping hot generous portions of delicious well cooked food. Very affordable prices. Opted for the Monday night offer of 2 courses for £15.95. Will certainly pay another visit.

My wife and I have eaten here on several occasions. Always superb! Food is amazing, service is spot on and a good selection of beer. Without doubt the best restaurant in the HINCKLEY and Nuneaton area.

We have visited Hercules Revived twice in the last month for lunch after completing part of The Leicestershire Round and both times we thoroughly enjoyed the food and service.

Valentines Evening set menu was delicious! Loved everything and attention to detail. Staff very friendly and helpful. Have been here several times before and food has always been amazing! Would definitely recommend it!

Good quality food and good presentation! Menu is not quite accurate though. Asked for passion fruit rekorderlig as that’s what was on the drinks menu(with no other flavours). Waitress came back with strawberry and lime. Which is not what I wanted nor did they have what was on the menu. Also had to ask for a clean knife .

Just had the fish & chips best ive had in a long time fish was very fresh and not over battered, will return! Very soon

Very nice surroundings, all of the staff are very friendly and helpful, we went ad hoc on a Monday night and the comfort menu was on offer, fantastic value for money, good choice of dishes and all served piping hot, definitely go again and would recommend. There are too many places offering "home cooked food" for extortionate prices and it's not, this place is for real, give it a try!!

I took visiting friends from the North East for Sunday dinner prior to their long journey home. This this was my first visit. The food was excellent in very comfortable surroundings, the staff were very helpful and friendly. My friends went home satisfied and full. We all would thoroughly recommend the Hercules Revived.

Really good atmosphere down stairs. Food is completely on point with the food. Service was really good (maybe a little slow when it got busy but there was only one person serving so couldn’t be helped - but he was very attentive)

Good interesting menu, and pleasant atmosphere. Service could have been a little quicker, but staff were pleasant and obliging. Feel that it would be helpful to have a choice of table, since ambiance is different on the two levels of the restaurant.
