Unfortunately, due to a mix-up with a member of the bar staff, we missed our table slot and instead ate in the main pub. Not really a hardship, though, as we had plenty of room and the restaurant area was full. The food was delicious – really fresh and nicely spiced and generous-sized portions. Excellent value as well. Would definitely recommend it.

Had another fantastic meal at The Hen & Chickens. The mixed grill and saag paneer were my faves. One of the party had very specific medical diary requirements and the chef bent over backwards to ensure all requirements were met.

Food spot on, good pints and Champions League on the telly. What's not to like?!

The seating could be improved - the bar stools and tight space is not conducive to good posture for eating.

Second time visit, and found the place as good as the last visit. Cannot fault the place other than parking can be a little difficult around the back but at the time we go its OK. Also the tables are a little close to each other hence a bit more space is needed for private conversation. A good measure of a good place is hot plates (nothing worse than cold food after about 5 minutes)
