Hawksmoor - Manchester

We were absolutely thrilled with our dining experience at Hawksmoor! The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all stellar! We came to Hawksmoor a year ago (from Canada) for the first time and couldn't wait to come back again! Many thanks to Carmen and Danni and the rest of the team for making our special occasion truly memorable!

Very disappointing. I visited here a couple of years ago for the Sunday roast and absolutely loved it. Today's offering was poor.

Steak was amazing, I'd definitely go again for another meal.

The steak was well cooked and tasty. The sides were very nice too. However, the wine was too expensive and very sour. It was not worth £48.

Exceptional as always Hawksmoor Manchester!! Will be back for sure.

Overpriced. £16 for a 175ml glass of house red ( £18 when 12.5% service charge added ) is ridiculous. Bill came and 1 glass of wine extra added , plus 1 beer plus one spirit , so £40 incorrectly added. Mistake ?? Food was fantastic but overcharging will mean that we will not return.

A bit disappointing overall. It was my Dads 75th birthday and I wanted to take him somewhere special for a great steak. My husband and I have had some lovely meals there in the past and the venue is lovely so I thought it would be perfect. The table was booked for 5pm and we were seated at 5.30pm. I’d asked in advance for a quiet table as my dad is hard of hearing and wondered if that was the reason for the delay, however we were seated in the middle of the restaurant next to the server station so not particularly quiet (table was absolutely fine as I don’t think anywhere is quiet really)The delay in being seated meant our parking ran out before dessert and added stress to the experience. My fillet was good and my mum really enjoyed the monk fish. Husbands well done steak was mostly pink and my dad’s rib eye was quite chewy. We waited a good 40 mins for the mains to arrive which isn’t a complaint but plenty of time to cook a steak well done. Unfortunately whilst the food was being served a waiter misjudged his tray resulting in my dad and the table being showered in chips and 3 us of sat there with food going cold whilst we waited for the 4th main and all the sides to be re-delivered. He apologised, and accidents happen, but again it did impact the enjoyment. Peppercorn sauce never arrived I had to ask for it and after that it arrived promptly but the steak was half eaten at the point. Desserts pretty nice. My dad really loved his sticky toffee sundae despite having to spit out a large piece of plastic that had made its way into it (looked like a piece of the ice cream tub) All things considered I don’t think I’d return again for a special occasion and left feeling a little disappointed I’d chose hawksmoor.

A brilliant afternoon in a brilliant restaurant. Odaine served us for the afternoon and he was absolutely delightful. The best service as always at Hawksmoor a Manchester

Great service, friendly and cheerful staff, not satisfied with food experience: steak ordered medium but was burned on the surface, side dishes not at the quality expected for the price we paid

My wife and I loved everything about the Hawksmoor we couldn't ask for better food or service couldn't fault a thing, and with steak like that I don't know why anybody would want to be vegetarian. We will be going back ASAP

Atmosphere was great. Food was about an 8.5. Steak had a lovely flavour but prefer steak at gaucho I would say is better. But would recommend.

Not been for a while but it never disappoints. Food spot on, service spot on, ambience spot on. Had the express menu and as it was Monday took own bottle for £5 corkage. Highly recommend.

Average food, no music, tables too close together, very expensive - not good value for money. I don't mind paying top dollar but you expect top dollar service - unfortunately it missed the mark. There's a family run Italian down the road from where we live in Stockport - the steaks are tastier, the food is quick, the music is good and the tables are reasonably spaced out (and it's half the price).

Hawksmoor seems to be a…select few…of many that hasn’t dropped its level of food quality and service in past 18months or so….other restaurants/steakhouses should take note!! Look forward to the next visit

Great welcome from every staff member we passed as we came in. Efficient and smiley service from all who served us. Superb food. We even got a reminder it was time to leave for the theatre!

The food was really good especially the steak and eggs were very good quality.

Excellent all round. In particular the waiting staff were exceptionally friendly and proactive without being intrusive. The menu is a little limited but then it is a steak house- and what they do they do well. I should have liked more side vegetable options. It goes without saying that the steaks and gravy were perfect - Hawksmoor is known for this. The crab was great too- a very good portion of white crab meat. My only negative comment is that the flat white was very strong and very small -served in a small glass( a bit like a Turkish tea glass). This didn’t fit my enjoyment of an end of dinner drink. The coffee itself was average but the size and shape of the glass didn’t make for any enjoyment. Otherwise top marks all round.
